Please disregard the star above because I won't rate this business with even one star. I can't believe these positive reviews. Friends and relatives maybe? Never have I encountered such incompetence, deceit and total lack of admissibility of wrongdoing in the average person, let alone the owner of a customer service business. A dry cleaning business is the very last type of business this person should be running. They totally ruined a very expensive jacket (Eric Alexander brand) which I took in for cleaning. It is 100% boiled wool and they hung it on a hanger for cleaning. The average layperson knows you do not dry wool on a hanger. When I put it on, the jacket jutted out prominently way past the shoulders in the contours of the rounded horizontal edges of the hanger. When I brought it back, I could not believe my ears when the owner told me that it was not the fault of the hanger, but leave it there and they would fix it. I said that I did not know how they could repair the damage, but I left it there anyways. When I picked it up the second time, having driven in again from out of town where I live, I asked if I could try it on there in the shop so I could check out the result, but was told by the employee who waited on me that they did not have a mirror. I used to get alterations done there years ago, and there was a mirror in the fitting room.; however, I tried the jacket on at home instead and though the protrusions were not quite as dramatic, they were still there, the shoulders were now too big for me and the material was stretched out under the arms. The jacket now was too large for me and I could never wear it in that odd shape. It used to fit me like a glove. I phoned Stirling as soon as they were opened the next morning and was told that the owner was not in. I asked when she would be in and was told she was in and out. When I requested to leave a message for her to call me back, I was asked why and when I said it was confidential, I was told that she would not call me back unless I left the reason for my call, so I did, and waited all day for her to call. She did not, so I phoned again the next morning and was again told that she was not in. I became very annoyed and demanded that she call me back. Finally, late that afternoon, I did receive a call from Stirling Cleaners; however, it was not from the owner. It was one of the employees the owner had apparently left to deal with the problem. The employee told me that there was nothing they could do for me. Excuse me????? I know the jacket was beyond repair, but what about some compensation which was much deserved. I didn't get so much as an apology! .BE FOREWARNED! Do not take your garments to be drycleaned at Stirling Cleaners. Judging from their behaviour, it seems that unsatisfied customers are common at Stirling Cleaners. The attached photos were taken after they 'fixed' their mistake.
