I came here to get my bridesmaid dress tailored. Worst experience ever!! My dress from David’s Bridal only had holding stitches in the chest area. I asked if they could sew together the area to secure it and also add some pads. I was already uncomfortable as it is a room with a small shower curtain along a rod that doesn’t fit all the way along, and everyone can see right through. When I came back to try it on, it was 40°C. This tiny spot is underground with no AC and it was so hot that I couldn’t try on the dress, it was getting marks from sweat just holding it so I said I’ll try it on at home and paid. When I got home and tried it on I cried. They ruined my $300 dress, and I paid another $100+ for them to butcher it! The pads were so cheap like from a dollar store, sewed in with one or two little stitches and thread hanging (cost $73 for that part) But the worst part was the top… I don’t know what measurements they used to mess it up so bad! I didn’t have time to take it to another tailor, so thankfully my mother was able to take the stitching apart and redo it. My mother is NOT a seamstress and she did a way better job! I still can’t understand how these people charged me over a hundred dollars and then did THIS!!?? I’ve added pictures, and also added one of what it looked like after SOMEONE ELSE FIXED IT. I went there because they had good reviews, but trust me, go somewhere else…

My wool and cashmere coat's inner lining was old and tearing. I would've had to spend $500 for a new coat of the same quality, but Sunny Cleaners were able to buy a new liner for me, remove the old and and replace it all for a reasonable price! It looked great when I picked it up this morning. I highly recommend them!

Sunny Dry Cleaners & Alterations at 160 Metcalfe St. in Ottawa is my go-to place for cleaning and alterations. I have recommended Nasrin as a seamstress/tailor to others as well. I recently had a camel hair coat re-made into a jacket and Nasrin did a beautiful job - tailoring it to fit and adding detail at the cuffs. She takes great pride in her work - whether a simple hem, shortening a sleeve, zipper replacement or a more complicated alteration. Cleaning is always satisfactory as well. Wonderful service and results here! So happy this place is in my neighbourhood.
