I have been using this laundromat for quite some time now. Came in today with my 4 bags did my laundry peacefully. At the end when i was ready to leave i checked the buses and my route came in 20+minutes so i decided to call an uber. I asked the lady working (i believe she is the owner) for their guess wifi password. This how is literally it went: Me: Sorry , I was wondering if i could use your wifi since i saw that you have a guess wifi. Her: Well you've been here quite some time why didn’t you ask sooner? Me: I just finished my laundry and i need to order and Uber home the bus is going to take too long coming in. Her:For our wifi well your going to go on maple laundromat wifi and enter our password. Me: Okay which Maple laundromat there is 3 different ones? Her: I just said it ! Me: Im asking which wifi there is Maple laundromat wifi, Maple laundromat wifi-5G, Maple laundromat wifi guest ? Her: i just said it ! Me :okay , I didn’t hear you She did a pretty annoyed sighed and went to her counter wrote on a paper the wifi left it there and said its not that hard ! I spent 2 hours doing my laundry peacefully didn’t bother any for her to take the tone of voice she did was unnecessary and distasteful. I was so disgusted by her tone and gesture i took the information ordered the first Uber and left. At no point did i change my tone i believe with this type or encounter it would of only escalated. If asking for a wifi password is such a bother then maybe there should be none. Or have it publicly displayed inside with a timed session. For her to have that attitude was uncalled for, id understand if i had been loitering or just hanging out but i wasn't i was there for 2-3hours she saw me clean/fold my laundry with out issues but yet when i am ready to leave my bags packed up and asked for the wifi it is an inconvenience ? Safe to say i will be avoiding doing my laundry when shes In or I’ll go in and out without acknowledging her.

Amina and her excellent staff rescued us from true laundry hell when our dryer went on the fritz. Her husband even picked up and dropped off the several bags of laundry, properly folded no less! True door to door service with a very short turnaround time, and they followed all covid protocols with a smile (you could tell, even through his mask). This is the second time we've run to her for help in an emergency. I highly recommend Amina and the Maple Laundromat and can't say enough good things about them! If your washer or dryer break down or even if you just need a break from laundry, call them now!

The smallest washer they have is a double loader the single load washers are not for customers use. I had to use a bigger washer for such a small load this is completely not environmentally friendly. The staff is rude to their customers actually accusing someone of lying about losing .25$ in a dryer come on it's a Quarter just give it to them and everyone is happy. Excellent service, especially for someone like me who didn't use a laundromat often and needed some direction. This place is very clean and roomy. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I thought it was a bit pricier than other laundromats I've used in the past, but that could be because of the size of the washers, rising costs in general, etc. But I highly recommend Maple Laundromat!

I moved to Ottawa almost 3 years ago and have tried a number of laundromats in the area. This one is my favourite, despite being further away than many others by my apartment. Their machines are top notch. They clean well and they're well maintained. They have different sizes for different sized loads and I can always find an unoccupied machine even during weekends. They have about 30 machines and 30 dryers. There's also plenty of space for folding your clothes. Their staff is lovely and they've given me some great washing tips over the years. They're very kind hearted and you can tell that they've developed lots of good relationships with their customers over the years. Finally, the laundromat is clean. In other laundromats I've rewashed things that dropped on the ground, but I don't really worry about that here. I've never used their wash and fold services so I can't really comment on that, but as far as self serve goes, they're great.

I washed and dried a huge fluffy comforter in less than an hour. Saves you so much trouble and effort than having to do it at home because my machines were too small and were taking too long and causing more damage to my comforter. Amazing quality. Today I tried Maple Laundromat for the first time as I had a flood in my basement and as a result my washing machine was damaged from the high water. I was devastated and had to lots of laundry. When I arrived the young man who was working there gladly offered to help me carry my laundry during the pouring rain. He showed me how to use the machines and I was impressed with their level of service. The place is very clean and organized. I will keep coming back and even when I get a new washing machine I will continue to come back to wash my duvets. Thanks for your helpful and friendly service.

I go there often, but the last time I was there these two ladies were really rude! I went in sparing 2/3 minutes until last load. When I walked in one lady just started saying over and over, "Bye! Bye! Bye!" I had no idea she was talking to us until she started getting annoyed exactly towards us. The other lady wasn't too bad at first. She said that the last load was now, then the first one stepped in again. She was raising her voice towards my friend and I and tried to tell us that last load at at 8pm until I pointed at the sign and told her it said 8:45pm, that's when she awkwardly said that we just made it in time and tried to giggle it off. My friend and I went to a machine and we heard them non stop complain about how we had come in and now they weren't getting out of there until 10pm (we were gone at 9:50pm). (That really annoyed me also, the place is open until 10pm and I was there for last load, so I'm my opinion, stop being so rude and do your job!) They tried to be nice afterwards but I was too annoyed at their rudeness and lack of customer service. For the last 30minutes they were completely ready to leave, coats, bags, etc. Then they just leaned against a table was watched us going back and fourth from talking about their normal lives and complaining about us. Finally I was done, and they rushed us out the door. My friend and I will NOT be returning!!!!

Never enough working washers OR dryers ( most are not workin or reserved for the laundry mat itself) and now they have a sign saying as of January 2020 that they will be charging an extra dollar on all machines and the 8$ ones are going to 12$, ridiculous if you ask me. unfortunate as this one staff lady is amazing but will not be returning and will let others know of the price increase.

The Asian employee was very unpleasant very high pitched demand voice, told me what machines to use as if I never did laundry before. After following me around and giving me me unpleasant looks, I finally had to say:" I am not looking for any problems I just want to do my laundry".I never felt so awkward in a laundry mat. Nice and clean. The person (woman) helping us was very friendly. She even opens doors to people coming in with hands full, she greets them and suggests to customers proper settings for machines. Granted it's a bit more but it's worth it. There's a price to pay for cleanliness and good service. Washrooms and wifi are free!

Our washer broke and with Covid our new machine delivery was delayed. We went to Maple Laundromart in Elmvale Acres and WOW! The woman the running the place is one of the most decent human beings on the planet. Super helpful, kind and we didn’t have quarters / loonies and she didn’t take interact so she gave us rolls of $ to start our loads while we left to get money. Very clean and very good business. Would highly recommend ❤️

Amazing Service! I have moved to Ottawa recently and currently without a washer and dryer. I will definitely go back (until I receive my aplliances). The inside is remarkably clean, bright and welcoming. There are plenty of washers and dryer so there is no issue of not keeping socially distant from other patrons. There's a convenient change machine, clean washrooms, free Wi-Fi, clean seating areas throughout, clean folding tables, snack and soda machine.. what can I say..it's clean! The business manager/owner definitely takes pride in the business. They too are friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. ????

The best experience at a laundromat ever! We are moving from the US and are temporarily staying at a hotel with no laundry. The staff at Maple made us feel welcome and at home. I travel a lot and run into a lot of different types of people...I must say the staff here are the type of people you want to run into again. They were very helpful in exchanging American dollars into Canadian coins and giving us free soap pods and dryer sheets. The entire place was clean and well kept. The bathrooms were in excellent shape...that's saying a lot, being as it's a public restroom. The prices are more than fair and you will feel very welcome. Highly recommend! I don't give glowing reviews to everyone but I more than feel this was an excellent business to give one to!

Run by TERRIBLE and RUDE people... which is a shame because apart from the fact it's terribly EXPENSIVE it is... physically an okay place to do laundry (aka clean) but sadly thats all they have going for the. I have lived near Elmvale for nearly a year... my house didn't come with a washer or drier and I figured since it was across the street I would save my self the energy of finding or buying one... The first time I went I didn't know what to expect, I was mildly embarrassed because I'm not someone well off and so I washed my clothes prior to bringing them in to dry. I had never been to a laundromat before so I didn't know what to expect. I was approached by the man who immediately questioned why I was there, I explained I didn't know how to use the driers and that's all I wanted to use. he was very rude to me and made a big deal about bringing in wet ish laundry and insisted I use a washer here next time... (to which I found out are crazy expensive..) I then discovered the driers are 25 cent for 3 minutes... thats by far the biggest rip off I've ever heard of, but I dealt with it.. They were very rushy to get me out and acted like my presence was a huge inconvenience. after that I caught on a different young gentleman worked in the evenings, he is very nice - always says hello to me, helps other customers with questions, holds the door etc... he's honestly a great employee and was the only reason I continued to go. but today was different, I had things to do so I went in a bit earlier than usual (I didnt know when those two horrible owners left but apparently today was not my lucky day) The women was extremely unpleasant, more so than her (assumed) husband... she gave me dirty looks the whole time, talked to me in a bitchy tone, and felt the need to interrupt everything I was doing to tell me it was wrong. Places like this give me major anxiety and a little bit of friendliness would of gone a long way.... after my wash was completed I went for the driers, she was telling me they were too full even though it was fine for the wash, and not even half way up to the top looking inside the drier, she demanded I split the load and spent more money, and when I tried to explain I wasn't made of money (I SPENT 20$ ON TWO LOADS!!!!) she got really snarky and accused me of trying to break her machines, telling me I was wrong because she worked there so was OBVIOUSLY more informed than me, and then stormed off to a friend she sat and talked with about me the whole time... I quickly dried my laundry and got the hell out of there... I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK!!!

My experience was quick and affordable. I was so impressed with the cleanliness and professionalism of the customer service agent during the daytime. She makes sure that you choose the best machine and settings for your laundry, and goes out of her way to make sure you're happy with the service. There are so many machines of different sizes that you have options for basically anything you need to wash. A wonderful laundry experience, highly recommended!

If you plan to wash your clothes in Maple Laundromart, be prepared for 2 things: 1- To be treated like a prisoner! The owner of Maple Laundromat, Amina is the warder! She follows you around like a creep; Watches your every slightest move; constantly undermines you and bosses you around!!! 2- Be prepared to be robbed! This is the most expensive laundry facility in Ottawa, even though the washing and drying machines are very similar to any other place!!! A medium to large wash and dry load will cost you about $15 which is TWICE AS any other place with similar machines … and on top of that you will be insulted and undermined constantly by the owner Amina. I am a 45-year-old educated woman with a post graduate degree from a Canadian University. So I am perfectly capable of performing " a simple laundry task”! However, I have to admit that I made the mistake of going to Maple Laundromart to wash a load of bed sheets. The bed sheets were 100% Cotton Fabric, fairly new and the load was medium. However, I chose a big washer, even though it was pricier (8$) with the single object of not overloading the machine and just to be on the safe side. I must add that I am a very meticulous, careful and responsible person by nature. The warder, Amina came to me and bossed me around for no obvious reason these several times: 1- While I was loading the machine to check and Touch !!! the material that I was loading in to the washing machine to approve the quality and the quantity of the wash load!!! 2- While I was pouring the laundry detergent (GAIN Liquid Brand) in to the machine to check the brand of the laundry detergent and the amount that I was putting in to the washing machine! 3- While the washing machine was washing the clothes to check the amount of lather even though she had approved the amount of the detergent that I put in to the machine 5 minutes before that!!! 4- While the washing was done to instruct me not to "sprinkle a single drop of water on the floor"!!! and to put down a towel next to the washing machine for any possible imaginary drops!!! As you would expect, the towel that she so diligently put on the floor next to the washing machine, was COMPLETELY DRY after I took my clothes out of the washing machine. Obviously you wouldn’t expect "Any Water" in a functioning washing machine dripping from the clothes after the load is done! 5- While I was putting my COTTON bed sheets in the dryer to check how I was doing this very “cumbersome and dangerous act”!!! 6- While I was taking my COTTON sheets out of the dryer to see if there is any lint ?!!! inside the dryer, which as you would expect there wasn’t any!!! 7- Immediately After I was done to take "any suspecting and imaginary lint" out of the dryer filter, which as you would expect there wasn't any; since as I said before my wash load only contained 100% COTTON bed sheets which were totally "lint-less" ! 8- While I was folding my sheets on the folding table to OPEN THE WINDOWS !!! to let any “imaginary lint” caused by 100% COTTON SHEETS out of the windows!!! I was EXTREMELY SURPRISED by the way this woman "Amina" acted during my visit!!! And since the way she acted made me decide this to be my very first and very last visit to her Laundry facility, I decided to speak with her after I finished my load which by the way cost me a whopping $ 15 for washing and drying only one medium load of cotton bed sheets!!! Add to that the headache of dealing with airport level security check in a laundry facility!!! I let her know that by the very anxious and suspicious was she is treating her innocent customers; she is most probably suffering from some sort of Anxiety Disorder, Paranoia, or Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and she should see a psychiatrist and probably change her job to a more accommodating career. So that neither she, nor her customers would suffer so much for no apparent reason!!! I sincerely hope that she would take my advice before something very bad happens in that place by the very bad and suspicious way she treats her customers!

This is our first time at Maple Laundromart. The staff was great and the place was very clean. The prices are very reasonable and they have lots of washers and dryers. If you run out of laundry supplies they sell them. If you need change they have a change machine. My wife and I will be back.

Lots of big front-loading machines. The place is clean, and people are friendly. There are plenty of stores to visit while you wait (LCBA, Starbucks, Library, Grocery, Hardware ...). This is the best laundromat I've ever used.

I don't live nearby, but I don't mind driving there to do my laundry. Very clean, bright, stocked with well maintained machines and pleasant and professional staff. Lots of different sized washers and dryers to match the machine to the size of your laundry load. Plenty of parking if you drive in. Starbucks across the parking lot if you want a nice coffee while you do your laundry.

I really liked this laundromat when I started going there, but the prices have increased recently, and the availability of washers and dryers is always terrible now. A significant amount of machines are always out of order or reserved. A large machine is now 12 dollars a load, and medium is 8.

For those wondering if the other testimonials you are reading about the Maple Laudromart are true, stop wondering... they are. Our washer broke down and with a busy household including three kids, we could not wait for the washer to be fixed. I showed up at the Laundromat on a Sunday morning with six garbage bags of clothing. The owner operator of the laundromat (who was also helping others) quickly showed us to the machines, provided the coins needed to operate them, and ensured all our clothes were washed and dried quickly and efficiently. The customer service was top notch and reminded me of a day and age that most businesses have forgotten. My son also noted how clean the place was, despite his impressions from movies that made him expect otherwise. My only regret is that when our washer gets fixed, I won't have an excuse to go back. I can't encourage you enough to patronize this local gem of a business when you need their services. Outstanding!

I used to use this laundrymat on a regular basis. Over the last couple of month they have too many washing machines and dryers out of order. People waiting hours to use the little amount of machines they do have working. Fix your machines, your running a business that people rely on. More then half of thier dryers out of order. Ridiculous. Laundry mats should ALWAYS have working machines.

Best place to do your laundry in the city, there’s no doubt about it. The laundromat I normally go to was closed today and so I rushed in before they closed for New Years. The employees working here are the most helpful and kind people and stayed late so I could finish my load. Good people doing good work. Thank you so much!

Spotlessly clean laundromat. There is an attendant on site at all times and she is very helpful. There are big machines for washing bedding. We drive a bit out of our way to get here but it is worth it.

I love these people! We drop our laundry off for the wash & fold service. It's not in our neighbourhood, but we went once and were really blown away by the customer service. Once I had forgotten that they only take cash for their wash & fold so the owner said I could pay next time. Once my partner went to actually wash laundry, instead of dropping it off, and she forgot cash. She asked the owner if she could leave the laundry while she ran to the bank, and the owner lent her change to get the wash started so my partner going to the bank wouldn't waste time. I can't say enough about them. Also - although we've only ever stayed to do our own laundry once, the facilities are so clean!

Kian was so helpful, professional and kind, delivering A1 customer service from the moment I called to inquire about his services and from the moment we walked through the door. The staff is very friendly and helpful , and prices are very reasonable. Original Post: STAY AWAY!! After 3 visits of being HARASSED BY THE STAFF I will NEVER go back. After being told to split a washing load that a normal residential dryer could handle into 2 dryers so they could soak more money out of me - and on my last visit being REFUSED SERVICE to dry 3 swimsuits, I have had enough of being TREATED LIKE THEY ARE DOING ME A FAVOR BY LETTING ME GIVE THEM MY MONEY. I was actually told by one female staff member that it was all well and good for me, I could just break the machines and leave, but they had to pay to fix them. If their double load commercial-grade machines can't handle the same size load as my domestic Kenmore (left with house when moved), they should probably try to get their money back for them. I WOULD RATHER DO MY LAUNDRY IN THE OTTAWA RIVER THAN GO HERE AGAIN! ***PEOPLE LIKE THIS DO NOT DESERVE TO BE IN BUSINESS.***

Fairly new machines, and a clean building are over shadowed by how rude and creepy the staff is. They stare at you awkwardly from five feet away, bark warnings at you, and give you the impression that they want you out of there as quickly as possible. The place also has a very weird smell. The staff makes it a very uncomfortable experience. I went there about 6 times before I decided it wasnt worth it. Id rather pay more money to use older machines just so I dont have to be near their staff

This place does business the right way. They clearly care about their facility based on the condition of the laundry machines and the cleanliness of the overall establishment. The owner takes pride in her business. She could see I was in a hurry when I visited, so she got change for me and also dispensed the soap into the washer. Despite what the review below says, you WILL NOT pay any ridiculous amount for 2 loads of laundry. I paid $13 for two loads of laundry washed and dried. The machines are very quick. I was in and out within 75 minutes. Very highly recommended if you need to visit a laundromat.

I have been going to Maple Laundromat for over two years now. It is the cleanest and most professionally managed laundromat I have ever been to - and I have been to many in the area. The owner and her staff are extremely pleasant, courteous and helpful. I have my laundry professionally cleaned by then every week and my clothing and bedding have always been handled with the upmost care. I have occasionally left money in pants pockets, etc., and it has always been returned to me. I continue to be impressed by their professionalism and honesty.

I rarely post Google reviews but I wanted to emphasize how the service I received from Amina and Kian from this laundromat was amazing, kind, respectful and professional. I had a big sewer backup in my house and lost the ability to do laundry. Amina picked up and delivered our laundry for a small extra fee and it came back quickly, expertly folded and washed. They also did some excellent dry cleaning for us. Got the bills by e-mail so I could claim them with my insurance. They helped us out during a really tough time. Amina even found something personal I forgot in my pant pocket and came all the way to my house to return it. That is great service! Thank you guys.

Update Aug 8th 2017. New owner, nice pleasent young man. Clean and efficenct. Definitely much better experience that. Last time The laundromat is clean and has new machines. The owner was not very pleasant when I came in. She helped me start the machines, but then later I realized she put the wash to cold. No one else was there just myself, my kids, her and 2 other staff. I stupidly left $20 on top of one of the machines. Ofcourse it was stolen. When I told her about it she didn't seem to care. Someone could have offered to help me look for it. And as a customer service gesture offer to dry my half dry clothes the rest of the way. Thieves work there and they are rude. Kindness and honesty goes along way

They clearly care about the experience their customers have. They are respectful of everyone that comes through their doors, often offering helpful advice and making sure that customers have everything they need. I watched Ali help a woman make her drying more efficient after he noticed that she overloaded a dryer (hoping, I guess to get things done faster) - he divided up her laundry and credited her the difference for the other machine. What amazing service! It is a pleasure to come and do my laundry here - I could not recommend them more highly. Thank you so much! Due to the Spring 2019 flooding and no hydro service I needed to go a laundry mat. I checked out the available laundry mats in Ottawa and their reviews. I chose Maple Laundromat and was very impressed with the cleanliness of the establishment and the professional and courteous service I received from the owner. The prices for wash and dry were fair and there was good number of large washing and drying machines which was so helpful as I had 6 garbage bags full of dirty laundry. The WIFI connection was quick and having an in-house change machine was so handy. I would definitely recommend Maple Laundromat to anyone in need of their services. It was a very relaxing experience and I will definitely be returning again to do laundry.

This laundromat is awesome. My clothes have never smelt better and the staff are so friendly. Nice place right by a couple coffee shops while your waiting . They also supply laundry full service and can pick up at your convenience. Will definitely wait to do laundry when I'm traveling out east with my semitruck. Great access for tractor trailer. Had no issues parking and doing laundry. Ottawa is AWESOME!

The staff and owner of this establishment need a great deal of training in customer service. On one visit my husband was told he had to divide his two loads of washing into three dryers paying more to dry our clothes and still they came out wet. We paid 30 dollars to finally get our clothes dry. On our second and final visit they refused to allow us use of the change machine to dry wet clothes in the dryer. To do two loads of laundry will cost 40 to 50 dollars at this laundry mat. Save yourself the headache and some money by going elsewhere. There is a laundry mat at bank and walkley that costs around half the price and gives you free laundry soap and dryer sheets. I will wash my clothes by hand before going back to this location again.
