Dropped off three pairs of pants to get hemmed. Was told pick up time 6-7pm the following day. 7pm were arrived.. was told they just started them -come back in 45-60 mins. Came back in 60-still not done.. please wait 15 more minutes. Looks like the last time we use this service. I understand a tailor in Pendale, across the street are better. Now I know. Too bad-we used to swear by them

Worst experience ever!!!!! Do NOT Go There unless you wanna pay for any mistake they make !!!! I send my Canada Goose to Pen Center's Stitch It to get a dry clean. When I get my coat back, I realized that my coat is ruined. My Canada Goose is a red one, however, when I get it back, the color of many part of the coat has turned to white !!! I was very upset, and talked to the manager. However, the manager, Dawn Lloyd, was very rude. She said that Stitch it just dropped my coat to another dry cleaner, Stitch it does't do any dry clean, so Stitch it does NOT have ANY RESPONSIBILITY ! " I paid dry clean fee to Stitch it, and get receipt from Stitch it. But now Dawn Lloyd doesn't wanna help me solve this problem ! There is a sentence on Stitch it's receipt:" Quality Guarantee: If we cannot fix it, we will buy it back. Dry cleaning- If we cannot fix it, 10X cost of cleaning." They have customer service guarantee on their website and receipt, but now the manager,Dawn Lloyd, is very rude and doesn't wanna do anything !!!!

Amazingly friendly staff! I took in a bridesmaid dress I needed the zipper taken in on within a weeks notice of the wedding, the staff were so friendly in helping me get the right fit and working with me to have it done on such short notice. She even worked with me to get a few spots of blood out of the bottom of the dress from a mosquito bite I had been scratching on my ankle (above and beyond!). While I was paying I also witnessed a man come in with a seam he needed fixing and she fixed it right on the spot. Amazing customer service.

I had my zipper change on my coat and I couldn't be more happy. She gave me a lot of choice and provided suggestion for the best quality. I definitely recommend them to anyone who need work done. My coat also smelled fresh and was so soft. I think they might have dry cleaned it as well.

Went in to get a couple of things done right before New Year Eve. The new manager was helpful, addressed my concerns and provided outstanding service. Only issue I had was that when I got there they had made a few mistakes when charging. The new manager (I do not remember her name) noticed that and corrected it. Do not go to this place ! Literally turned dress pants into capris ! took them in over a week prior to us needing them , go to pick them up which was already a hassle since they blew up my phone yesterday telling us "oh can you pick up later in the afternoon" when we needed them for this morning as we have a wedding out of town , bring them home and boom we get f****** capris. They're so unorganized ! Completely unprofessional! And now we are most likely going to be late for the wedding since we have to rush around looking for new pants!????

Had to sew patches on my uniform and needed it for the next day. The person said it won't be ready until the next day that I specified (which was Thursday). So I took a day off from work because they had my uniform. They called me around 4pm saying that it wasn't ready, when the receipt they gave me and they said that it would be available for pick up for today at 8pm. So they said it would be ready for 1pm tomorrow. I told them I am unable to pick it up as I have school. So now I have to pick it up on Saturday. They specifically said it would be ready today at 8pm. They should either get more people to work there so they can finish on the time they said it would be ready or stop being lazy and do the ones that are supposed to be finished early. Never going here to sew things on my clothes ever again.

Worst customer service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I dropped my clothes about a week ago went to pick them up today. And guess what? They basically did nothing, so I had to wait almost 20 mins. And when I ask for a discount the lady said NO DISCOUNT. She said she would give me discount if I come back next time, but do you think customer would come back if you treat them like shi***. Then she started to explain "the new girl is vitanmense and her English is not good so its not our fault. " I was like what? It is you fault to hire someone who cant do the job. She even said she had run this business for 25 years and she doesnt need me to teach her. I just can't believe people like this can still have thier business. OMG! Can’t believe how unknowledgeable the reception person I met today! All I asked was to stitch my Lycra cycling bib shorts near the chamois/seating area; the reply was I can’t because that kind of fabric stitching would break the sewing machine needle! What? I’m not asking you to stitch the Chamois (2 layers of soft fabric) to the Lycra ? She didn’t even to listen to me instead she referred me to a shoe maker shop to do that stitching. I Don’t whether that person was even a tailor in the first place? I feel sorry for the owner who employs such staff ...

I purchased a bridesmaid's dress online & when it arrived, you could fit two of me in it comfortably. The ladies at Stitch It have saved every one of my formal gowns in the past so I rushed to the mall. They were able to cut my dress in half & managed to make it look even more beautiful than when it arrived. They are so friendly & professional & boy, do they make you feel like a goddess with all the compliments while they take your measurements (even after you've put on a little covid weight). I always have & will always continue to take all of my delicate alterations to Stitch it.

We had a wedding this summer, it was less than a week away and Dawn said to bring it in and they'd get it done. My dress had a lot of detailed sequence, but her team was able to get it done on time and they did an awesome job. They also fixed my daughters maid of honour dress, she had used the woman at Stitch It at the Fairview mall for her alterations. I would not recommend her at all, she was rude and grumpy and needless to say did a half done job since Dawn's team had to stitch, tuck and gather. Plus when I decided to pick up my dress because I didn't trust Stitch at the Fairview Mall with it after seeing my daughters dress, she wasn't going to give me my money back and she hadn't even started on it yet. Dawn did it for a better price and her team were so nice, I would highly recommend them.

My Carhartt winter jacket zipper blew up. I already have my logo on the jacket, really don’t want to replace(probably $270 to replace with logo). Went in to see if it was even worth trying to fix it Or put a new zipper on. Ellada (the manager) greeted me with an amazing cheeriness and instantly assured me she can help. 10 minutes and under $14 had the zipper working way better then even before it broke. I am in the parking lot giving this review, because I am so impressed. I am going to spend some time tomorrow looking at what else I can bring down that needs fixing.

Stay away from this Place, if you think you deserve to be treated respectfully!!! I had given a pair of Suit Pants for Hemming and Size Alteration on December 1st, 2015 evening at this store. While turning in the pants to the person at the Cash Register, I had informed her that the waist button just fell off and it needed to be sewed back. The person entering the order asked me to leave the button in the pants pocket and that she will have it sewed for no extra charge. As I was telling her that my total for alteration of over $30 was more than what I had paid for the pants themselves. When I went back to collect the pant on December 2nd evening, the older lady present in the store (who I was informed is probably also the manager there) was getting ready to go on a break. I told her I was there to collect my Pants and she let me in. I tried the pants on and felt like the person that worked on it did a pretty good job. I also noticed that the waist button was still missing. I informed it to the lady and she replied that it was not done because it was not mentioned in the order. The Lady that took my order was also not around at that time. When I tried to explain what happened last evening and requested her to check with her colleague, she responded very rudely. She told that sewing the button is extra $7 which was not charged, and very reluctantly said that she would sew "a" button. I told her that I needed the original button which I had left in the pockets, when she was trying to sew in some other button (which looked really awkward). She behaved in a very uncivilized manner saying "No one will peep inside your pants to look for what kind of button it is", and tried to touch the pants I was wearing to prove her point that the button for the waist of the pants is not similar to what is sewed over the back pockets. I told her it looks exactly like those buttons as I had seen it, and had put it myself in the pocket of the pants. Fortunately, I noticed the original button I had put in the pants pocket on a sewing machine in the shop and told her that this was the button. In the end she sewed it, but it was a very unpleasant experience for me. I wanted to bring this matter to the attention of the store owner or manager, so that any corrective measures would be taken and other customers wouldn't have to go through a similar experience. I ran into the lady that took my order later in teh week and explained her what had happened. She seems to be a nice and decent woman who informed me that the lady who behaved rudely with me could be the manager itself, and that the owner of the brand lives in Toronto. I thought it would be moot point if the person I was going to talk to was the person that caused the problem. The (nicer) lady informed me that the company values customer feedback and suggested that I could email everything to an e-mail address. I e-mailed the business explaining what had happened, but they never responded or even acknowledged the receipt of my e-mail. Reading some recent reviews, it looks like the rude lady is still around and the situations hasn't changed. Although I like the way the work was done, I would neither return to the store in future nor recommend it to others.

I have been using the Stitch It location at The Pen Centre for a couple of years now and they do exceptional work. Not once have I had to return an item to be redone, as it is perfect the first time, every time. The prices are fair and the service is very efficient. Turnaround time on a job is almost always met, and the one time it wasn't they had it ready within minutes of my arrival. Most times I am served and measured by Dawn, who is always pleasant and informed about what needs to be done. I rely on her judgement always, which is unerring. The team is great and work well together. Definitely worth a visit!

I want to thank the Ladies of Stitch It for their fabulous work on my dress. I was nervous having my $600.00 dress altered because I needed the dress taken in and fitted for the the bottom half of the dress, hemmed shorter and the zipper at the back which was difficult to get a perfect fix because it stuck out at the bottom and wouldnt lay flat. I've been coming to this location for a while now. I decided to create a custom-made hoodie with crests and patches from my karate school. Lada did all the work and it was fantastically done at a reasonable price. She was very accommodating on the timeline and got it back to me in no time. A short while later, I brought in two jackets to have the zippers replaced. One had visible damage and the other was simply difficult to close up. Lada could have simply charged me and replaced them both, but she took time to examine both zippers and was able to confirm that the second, undamaged zipper didn't require replacement. Lada makes this location the only place I bring my clothing for repairs, alterations and customization, despite the fact I live on the other side of town. She is a credit to her art. Good value, professional repairs and quick service time. I would recommend this location to anyone.

Their employees have to keep certain numbers when it comes to their processing so they cut corners and overcharge their costumers in order to keep them. So disappointed. I have been going to this Sitch It for over four years. I come here regularly as I am shy of 5", so everything I buy has to be altered. I came in on Monday with three items that needed minor hemming. After I was checking out I asked if I could get the items back by the end of the week. I was told that would be difficult due to staffing levels. I informed the main seamstress that if that was the case, I would have to take the items back as I was going on a trip, flying out Saturday, and needed those items for the trip. The main seamstress then said she could get the items hemmed by Friday at 6 PM. Today is Friday and I arrived at the store at 7:20 PM only to find out that not one of my items of clothing had been altered and that they weren't going to be worked on until tomorrow, after I fly out of the province. When I expressed my discontent I was told I could take my items back. I said, but I had already paid $75 for the alterations that hadn't been completed. I was told I could get a refund. When I accepted that option I was told i couldn't actually get the refund today. I could only get it when the main seamstress returned tomorrow. Again, this didnt help me as I am flying out of the province tomorrow morning and so could not get a refund if I took my clothes back. Horrible customer service for a client who comes regularly.

Brought in my bridesmaids dress to be taken in and hemed. Went back on the agreed date (3 days later) to find the dress was now 2.5 inches too tight and the hem was an inch or so too short. I asked for a flush to the floor hem and it was now at least 1 inch off the ground. The worker did not take any additional measurements and said it would be let out. When I returned to the store to be tried on again, it was still too tight. I told the worker that I was not satisfied with the work. She informed me that I would be reimbursed for the alteration costs of the dress as I was not satisfied and the length could not be fixed. She continued to inform me that I could bring my original purchase receipt and they would buy the dress from me. As I need the dress for the wedding, I declined that option and accepted the reimbursment for the alteration costs. When I returned the following day to speak with the manager, she informed me that she had altered the dress a third time (which i specifically said to leave alone) I mentioned to the manager that I was still unhappy with the length as it was shorter than I requested. Upon telling her this she stated that "I hemed it for sand because you said it was a beach wedding" when explicitly asked for floor length hem. I continued to tell the manager that her employee informed me the cost of alterations would be waved and she refused. The manager stated that "its fixed now so you have to pay. Otherwise I keep the dress" After a heated discussion, she continued to inform me that "I was wrong and did not listen" when in reality she did not listen to my request. I was verbally harassed, while she insinuated that I was unable to understand "basic communication" and she would not offer me any discount or reimbursment of any kind. After 3 weeks and $140 I expect high quality service and customer care which I did not receive. As a retailer in the Pen Centre, I will no longer be refering customers to Stitch It for alterations or any other referrals personal or professional. I am disgusted by the way in which a manager spoke to me and my spouse and did not take accountability for her employees or herself

I cannot thank Kulsoom and Ewa enough. These two ladies are nothing short of remarakle on their own and when they combine their skills together, it's a match made in heaven. I purchased an expensive winter jacket that was non-refundable (due to a sale price) and it was not to my liking. I was not able try it on since it was an online purchase. I was very dissapointed to learn that it had no liner. Without a liner, the jacket's wool insides got caught on every part of my clothing and made it extremley difficult to put on and take off. Luckily I came accross the Stitchit on Speers road in Oakville. They did what no other tailors in the industry could do for me. They designed and constructed a custom fit lining for my peacoat. Every other tailor I spoke to refused to help me either because they were affraid to ruin the jacket or simply did not have the skill or imagination to do what I asked. But Kulsoom and Ewa took the challenge head on. This is a designer peacoat hand-crafted in Italy and worn in a Daniel Craig Bond film. It is put together piece by piece. Due to the form fitting nature of the design, the peacoat's construction is very complex. The designer, Billy Reid, does not produce any version of this peacoat with a liner. Mine however, has one thanks to these two ladies. They thought outside of the box and created something truly special. It is the only one of its kind. The jacket slips on and off like butter now. I am so greatful for Kulsoom and Ewa. Their ability to step back and approach challenges from a different perspective is why they were the only ones in the GTA who were able to even think up and execute such an increadible design. I have never had a cooler and more functional piece of clothing in my life. Thank you so much. I give 10 stars out of 5. If the job is important, make sure you take your clothing to Stitchit in Oakville on Speers road. Kulsoom and Ewa are the best there is.

They were vey friendly and very nice to deal with. Unfortunately I'm not happy with the repair. I have to bring the jacket to another place to fix the area as it was only partially fixed. There was a hole in a jacket sleeve and a surrounding damage from a bad repair by another individual. They fixed the hole but not the surrounding damage and to me this is a partial fix. I'm not blaming them for the surrounding damage but I was hoping to have the whole damaged area taken care of and if that's not possible then I should've been informed in order to make a decision whether I want to proceed with the PARTIAL repair or not. Had I known that the area will still show the surrounding damage, I would've taken the jacket without being repaired and just paid for the time spent in opening the damaged area to look at it. I brought the jacket later that evening to my wife's tailor who was able to fix the entire damaged area without affecting the appearance and the size of the sleeve and it was all done in less than half an hour.

The female worker proceeded to tell me that the zipper was not the problem and began to make observations/assumptions about my chest due to my medical condition. She then told me that she would not fix my item and it was impossible. I ended up going to a different tailor and they assured me that the the problem was definitely the zipper and they were able to fix it without any problems. The item now fits me perfectly thanks to a different business. I would not recommend Stitch It, as they were unprofessional and inappropriate.

Sunday afternoon on July 18th I went in and there was an irate woman who took Julie the staff member to task because she thought her clothing was supposed to be ready for pickup. She followed Julie into the staff area and yelled at her there and kept asking her the same question, Why did you not call and tell me it was not ready? She was also upset about the way the alteration would be done to the clothing and did not agree with it. They came over to the cash register and I felt sorry for Julie because she was trying to stay calm and cool and explain the situation but this customer would not listen and all she wanted to do was yell at her. Julie has helped me in the past always in a helpful and professional manner. If this woman had come into my business and acted in the manner she did she would have received her clothing and refund and been asked to leave the premises.

Absolutely horrible service. I gave in my work pants (4 pairs) a week ago, I was told to pick them up Monday at 5pm. I came in at 4pm to check on the work since I was in the mall anyways, I was told they would be done in 30mins. I came back at 5pm at my pickup time to be told my pants were just now being worked on. I work nights Monday and need them for work. I was not even given an apology. I now have to go to work because they won’t be ready in time as they had just started on them at 5pm and will have to come back again tomorrow to pick them up. Not offered any compensation or apology for this. Very disappointed with their customer service. I understand if they’re low staff and have many orders in place that’s one thing. But to tell me at 4 they would be done by 430 and then for them to not have started on them at 5 when I went to get them is ridiculous. I would have been understanding had they given me an explanation and an apology. Never coming to this location again.

Worst experience ever. Brought 3 pairs of trousers for hem fixing (shortening), as well as a pair as a sample for length. Came back as attached picture. One pair was almost an inch longer! Went back to get it re-done, and the manager I spoke to was unreal. She didn’t even offer a sincere apology, but continued “Everybody makes mistakes, right? Don’t you, too?”. I expressed displease because that’s not how you talk to your customer who is wasting the time going back there. Then she called me the one with attitude, then told me to “Back off”. She refused to give my money back, and told me that I wasn’t welcome at “her store” any longer. So I left there feeling like I was the one who was at fault. Haha. Don’t use them, guys. They’ll mess with your valuable clothes, and won’t claim any responsibility. Bring your business elsewhere.

i need to let you know about an incident that happened at your store this afternoon. At about 5:15 pm, a friend and I came into your store, the man that was In front of us was so rude, he was yelling at the manager that handled herself so well, this man was putting her down, yelling that she better give him his money back and that his pants were not up to his liking. The store manager aplogized so many time and even told the man that she would fix his pants in 5 minutes, But he wasn't interested, I'm sorry but this woman should not have to be put thru that kind of abuse. Amazing job! I wasn't sure if it was fixable because of the material. The inseam had torn on both sides of my winter jacket. Not only was I able to request it back in just a few hours (slight upcharge - well worth it) it had no visible signs of stitching or work done. It looked completely brand new. In fact it felt stronger as if it were upgraded so it wouldn't tear so easy. Very happy with the quality and timely service!

Went in with a hole in my suit pants. After being told I wouldn't notice the patch I was very happy. The results were a square being put out of my suit on the exact whole, then it was patched up and then said square was sewn back on. Terrible process, and a worse look. Having just moved to Niagara Falls and not being able to find a seamstress, I took my daughter’s new prom dress into stitch it at Pen Centre. Now this dress needed ALOT of alterations (try finding a grown up dress for a girl who stands 5’ and weighs 90 pounds was near impossible)!! Dawn was amazing ????!! Three times I gave them my jacket to repair the zipper, three times their work failed within a month. The third time I brought it in and expressed how angry I was that I keep paying for the same job, a nice lady expressed her sympathy and said it won't be a problem to fix it at no charge; however upon picking it up they said there's no note that there wouldn't be a charge and I have to pay for it. When I asked when the woman who made the promise to fix their screw-up would be in next, they refused to tell me! The young girl was extremely rude and was more interested in getting my money and talking to the next client than caring about my issues. I do not recommend - terrible service and shoddy workmanship.

Review - June 25, 2018 Let me share our worst nightmare with you. It’s a little over a week to my daughter’s prom and her $500+ gown doesn’t fit. My daughter had a friend who recommended STITCH IT OAKVILLE so off we went. They asked us to get fabric to match and it would be ready in a week. We put our faith in their hands as the dress has beaded bodice and mesh top with not much room to work with. We knew it was going to be challenging to say the least. I’m having a hard time expressing the amazing job these magical ladies did on my daughter’s beaded gown. We just picked it up and it took our breaths away. They spliced in some material at the sides and the gown was restored to perfection. If you have your dream dress that needs alterations I can urge you to go to the Oakville location. They make good on their word AND the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Give them a week and they will give you a dream!

Brutal experience. Paid for a quick stitch on a pocket and was told it would take 5 minutes. Came back over an hour later and waited in line for 15 minutes without any service only to be told that the girl was on lunch and we would have to wait another half an hour. Then when we said we couldn't wait she told us she would do it right away. Got the coat back and after walking out the door realizes they hadnt even done the repair. I have never experienced something like this. Along the way they customer service was terrible as the rep made us feel like we were inconveniencing her. I would not recommend going there. Find somewhere where they actually appreciate your business and will do the repair you paid for!

I popped by the store today to see if someone could do a teddy bear repair for me: It's a treasured toy and is starting to tear in a couple of places. No one around, then I hear a voice call from out back. I peep around into the work area and there she is, busy at work. I ask about the repair. She holds the bear, and looks at me over her glasses... "Hand stitching. You can't do that yourself?" I say " I have an infant and a 4 year old..." She cuts me off: "I have FIVE children and I could still sew and cook and clean AND work" Okaaaaay I think to myself. I just want a good professional job done on this teddy bear. "AND they all graduated from university. VERY good kids." She mutters on and on at me while she takes my info. She grumpily tells me she can't do it today it will have to be tomorrow. Final straw when she mutters "parents these days, I just don't understand" I'm so insulted, I take the bear and I WILL and CAN do it myself. Hope everyone who can, takes their business elsewhere. From reading these reviews and what I experienced today, all these replies from the company are obviously worthless since nothing has been done about this employee. Or she is indeed the manager or owner of one of her very successful, great children owns the place. Brutal.

Brought shirts back and no problem, details and receipts copied and full refund of cost of shirt was received. Imported from UK, with duty and taxes and covered. We are talking expensive shirts. And on other shirts I have had altered, ( Eton and Stenstrom labels ) a perfect job and great care to ensure satisfaction. Employees are friendly and they can handle fine tailoring no problem. I am really disappointed in the service I received at this store. I am for sure never taking anything here again! Not only for their terrible time management but their awful unprofessional customer service . I dropped off a brides maid dress a month & a half before the wedding date . The day before I was to pick up the dress they called me & told me it wasn’t done yet & to give them 5 more days . I agree’d. When I got there to pick it up the lady told me the first woman who took my measurements was fired & now they are short staffed so that is why it was taking so long . I told them I totally understand that stuff happens and not to worry ! The lady told me to try it on again to make sure it fits & then she would finish it that day (monday) . I explained I was very busy the next few days & wouldn’t have time to come pick it up until Wednesday or Thursday . She rudely made me give her an exact date & time although her colleague said it didn’t matter bcuz the dress was supposed to be finished that day . I told her I would come Thursday afternoon . Not realizing Thursday was a stat holiday I called the day before asking if I could just come & pick it up now. The manager replied “no I didn’t want to work under pressure so it’s not finished” I nicely questioned why it wasn’t finished when they said it would be done that day & she replies “no no ! I finally got it the next day & she hadn’t even ironed it yet so I had to wait around for that . Keep in mind now the wedding is the next day so I was stressing . Then I find out by looking at the reviews that they had been taking last minute people in for alterations since they had my dress . So there should be no reason as to why it took that long ! I was hoping for a discount or an apology at least & I got nothing .

I always go to visit the staff at Stich it for any and all of my clothing alterations. They are amazing to deal with and I've never had any issues with my alterations. Plus, they are also open on the weekends which is a hige plus for me too!

I went in on a busy evening but it only took about 2 minutes! I popped in with a broken zipper and Dawn took my coat and had it fixed on a flash. And for a great price! I’m so happy with the service. You’d never even know my coat was broken earlier today. Thanks, Dawn!!

Stitch It at Devonshire Mall is the only tailor shop I use. Canan and Lucy are the best in the City at alterations. Incredibly friendly, helpful and their quality of work is exceptional. The detail to their work is just one of the reasons why I choose stitch it for my alterations. 10/10 for all your needs! THIS PLACE DESERVES ZERO STARS! I was told that my dry cleaning order will be sent with a red rush tag, and I will definitely have the clothes ready for pick up in 3 days. WRONG. I was told that my clothes will get delivered at 9am, then 2pm, then 4:30pm. THEY KEPT LYING and made me drive back and forth 3 times. Finally at the 3rd visit they said "we don't know where your clothes are now, the dry cleaning company is short staff". SERIOUSLY ... why couldn't they tell me this earlier instead of wasting my time!!! I was not able to get the outfit on time for my cousin wedding, and I had to buy new clothes because of the irresponsibility of this store! I asked for a full refund which they said they will inform the manager about, and when I went to the store AGAIN they IGNORED my request for a refund. NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN! I recommend you find a more responsible place that doesn't give "short staff" excuses!
