Plenty of washers* and dryers. Also plenty of room to fold. The only drawback is they can get busy even with the space and they do only have *two large capacity washers.

When help is around great. But increasingly I find myself using a touchy machine & I have no one to complain to about it. Also, I've lost at least 4 quarters to the machines. I love the super-sized loaders. They've gotten old, old stains out after I spot treated the old stains and tossed them into these machine. Fantastic huge new washers. But some of the driers are marginal and take extra time to do same job as a better drier in same location.

I took my shirts in every week for laundry and nearly every time got at least one back with a tag that said they couldn't get out the spot. I would spray it with Shout and the spot would come right out. They don't seem to care when I told them I wouldn't be back. However, they are no worse than the other cleaner in town and charge less.

I took in three sweaters (cashmere, cashmere wool blend) and one sweater dress ($250) from Anthropologie in this shop. One sweater needed mending where the tag was located on the back of the sweater. What I got back was a botched up mess. All of my sweaters had paper numbered tags the shop used for their purposes STAPLED through their fabric! How lazy are these people? Have they ever heard of safety pins? The "mended" sweater looked like something I attempted in 7th grade home ec class. Shoddy workmanship. I will never use this service or shop again. Thanks for taking $400 worth of great sweaters and treating them like t-shirts. Never again!

The only laundry mat on the Island that is the best. They are clean and don't carry an odor. Your clothes looks good after you wash them unlike the other laundry mat where the water is dirty. This wash house here is the best hands down!!!!

Though I remain skeptical of buffets in general, this is a good one, the food is very fresh, there's a huge variety, so it's a great place to go with people with different dietary needs. I really love the green beans and the sauteed mushrooms.

Don't go here, especially for a wedding dress cleaning. I had them clean my wedding dress - a month later I got the wrong wedding dress and I was charged $50 more than I was quoted. The company in Seattle they sent it to gave me my $50 back, but Dutch Maid wouldn't give me the credit back on my card.

Holy Wow! I came up from Freeland to use this laundry mat. The one in Langley was grungy and cost more. I'm not even sure my clothes got that clean there. The extra effort and gas definitely paid for itself by what I saved in laundry costs. Washers were $2.75 for a standard load, and the dryers were $1.75 for 49 minutes (25 cents per minute!) and took 2 loads worth. The staff was already gone as I was coming in at a later time (9pm to close), so I can't comment on that. Can't comment on the bathroom either. First impression though, were very friendly and helpful fellow customers. I even think I would feel comfortable leaving my clothes for long enough to do an errand or two while in town. I was also delighted at how clean and welcoming the space was. There are definitely plenty of machines to use, even for the larger town that Oak Harbor is. The machines were also very spacious, clean, moderately new (2 or 3 years old maybe?), and of good quality. Folding tables, floors, and chairs were all clean as well. Negatives? Long travel from Freeland made for a much longer chore time. The chairs are the hard kind with a hollow that scoops around your back & butt. Not terribly comfortable. However, they have a beverage vending machine. Bring your own snacks though. :p

Not a bad laundrymat. There seems to be no one that works there so it gets dirty and trashy on occasion. The locals who use it tend to leave their clothes in the dryer to catch on fire. The large load washers are nice but thw dryers get too hot and take a long time to dry a load. Overall the place is just ok if you don't mind putting the occasional fire out.

You can use debit for the washers but not any of the dryers and there are no signs letting you know that at all Also there is nobody there that can help you And i used one of the large washers it cost almost 10 dollars for one use then its locked up and and wont let me get my thi gs out I do NOT recomend this laundry mat

I have used Dutch Maid for the last few years. Normally it is great for doing my weekly laundry and the washers and dryers are great prices. But...today I noticed a Help Wanted ad in the window. I asked the lady in the back about the position they were hiring for. She directed me to the "manager". I asked him about the position and he abruptly told me he was only interested in skilled pressers. I asked him what the pay was and he dismissed me again by answering that he was only interested in skilled pressers. Completely rude, dismissive and treated me like an annoying child. I'm a very loyal customer and have spent a lot of money doing my laundry here. I've always recommended Dutch Maid to my Navy friends. I won't anymore. Its a terrible way to talk to anyone.

Best seamstress on Whidbey Island or really anywhere! She did a fabulous job for me. I was skeptical at first but the man who took my order explained in depth the process, turn around time, exactly when I could meet with her and assured me I would me very impressed with her work and I was! I live way on the other side of the Island, my seamstress has retired due to arthritis. This place will get all of our sewing and dry cleaning business as I was treated so kindly and honestly by both of them and like I mattered.

This facility is extremely well-lit all the machines work perfectly reasonably priced clean well-stocked. This is now I believe the fourth time I've done laundry here I usually do about 4 to 6 loads and unfortunately this evening one of the dryers is not heating up at all. I don't see a message bored for any type correspondence with these folks...

Washers are OK, but the dryers run too cold and I cannot get my socks dry and just give up after an hour. They now lock the bathroom door and you cannot use the bathroom except when their dry cleaning section is open. It is unethical to force customers to go to other businesses to use their bathrooms instead.

We moved back to Whidbey after a 3 year deployment, I was happy to see Dutch Maid still in business, always did a good job on my hubs Naval uniforms and the tons of odd ball vintage pieces I collect. Tried the other dry cleaners that’s gone now and always came back to Duch maid because of bad service and results at the other place. This visit was particularly nice because the man offered to help me carry items I picked up out to my car for me seeing that my hands were full with a tiny wiggly tot. But the best was when my elderly father in law told the story at dinner the other night how the same man carried a heavy winter comforter to his car for him, and told him to drive safe. Small businesses like this ROCK with a personal touch that you NEVER get anywhere else. I’m not a big reviewer because seldom is there something that makes me want to compliment a business but this business deserves a ???????? Oh and their dryer saved the day when my kid spilled a whole gallon of water on the seat cover in my car.
