I have a small uniform shirt from my job and it is still a bit big for me. I wanted to fit me more a little bit so that it won't look baggy. I wanted to look sharp for my job by having a uniform that fit me right so I decided to go look for alteration shops. Unfortunately, this was the only shop open during that time and I had to get it done that day because I will need to use it the next day.
When I arrive at Tip Top, I told the guy what I wanted to get done with the shirt. He said it was too complicated for him so he suggested to come back later that day when the seamstress is in the shop. I went back around 1 pm and told the seamstress what I wanted to do. For cutting the length of the shirt, fitting the sides of the shirt and fitting the sleeves of the shirt costed me $38.00. Take note that they only take CASH and nothing else. I could've done it myself but it was for work so I wanted it to look professional. She was able to do it for same day, I give her that. So I thanked her and told her I will be coming back when I get my other shirt.
When I went for the second shirt, to have it done as the first one, even if it was a bit pricey, the guy was there again and I told him I just need the lady to measure the shirt so I can leave it and pick it up another day. He said he will go tell her. They made me wait for 10 mins. I saw the lady who helped me and I even waved at her as she was doing some steam cleaning in the back. She saw me waved at her but she hid herself. I waited for anyone to come back. The guy finally came and said "Just come back tomorrow afternoon" and immediately went to back right away before I can even say a word.
It was so unprofessional on their part. All they needed to do was to put couple of pins as a guide. It took 2 mins last time. I was even already wearing the shirt as I knew the drill. For them to completely ignore me even after the fact that I saw the seamstress and waved at her. They did not look busy at all. And I am a paying customer, I don't understand why they drove me away considering that I am bringing business into them. Definitely will not go back here again. I'm pretty sure someone else will do the job in a more friendly and professional manner.
