This company like many others only has good customer service until they get your money. We bought a complete set of appliances and have had issues with all of them. The problem today is the fridge which has had issues from two months after purchase has died overnight. This was preventable as the store should have replaced it months ago. I called Bosch today and they said they have credited the store for the fridge so they don’t know why it hasn’t been replaced?? Trail, this one is on you. Maybe hire a manager who cares about customers as much as bottom line. Disgraceful!!

Great experience with this store. I'm in the Comox Valley and the salesperson was extremely helpful over the phone. They shipped my freezer exactly when they said they would and were in contact with me the whole time. If you're in the Comox Valley, definitely try these guys first before defaulting to the big box stores.

They are ok to purchase from but not great. Sales person lied to my wife and pressured her to make the purchase as he said sale ends today so to get sales price you have to buy today. Guess what Sales prices are still the same the next day and a week later. We paid for install on the appliances, never really did an install they put the appliances in place and plugged them in. Didn't even remove the plastic or install the tipping bracket on the stove. Over all ok to deal with but not great. Hopefully we do not need after service from them but if we do I hope it is better.

Visited Nanaimo’s Trail Appliance on Saturday March 7th. We were looking to purchase a new refrigerator. Zak Mann helped us out. He was really great, knowledgeable, helpful, friendly. He spent the time with us, and also helped research the product that fit our needs the best. It was a great experience. We came back the next day, and bought a fridge. Thanks Zak, we are really looking forward to our new Fridge, thank you for all your help!

I bought a Huebsch (Canadian Speed Queen) washer and had high hopes that if I spent the extra money I would get a higher performance, heavy duty, longer lasting machine. My experience at the store was okay. I had to approach the counter to ask for help, after wandering around the very fancy showroom for about 5 minutes. The salesperson was pleasant and efficient, and steered me to the Huebsch when I told him what I was after. I bought it, and he gave me a tentative delivery date. A few days later I was informed that the delivery would be delayed, so I made arrangements for the new delivery date/time, busy time of year, no problem. Then I get a robocall from a contracted delivery company that the delivery would be the next day, when I would be at work. Anyway, long short, several phone calls and an email to the salesperson later it got sorted. The delivery was on a Saturday, as arranged, went smoothly, and was made by cheerful, helpful Trail employees. This company would be wise to use their own delivery service exclusively rather than contracting out. Super excited about the washer, so very disappointed when it didn't seem to be dissolving the small amount of OxyClean I use in each load. Seemed to run only cold water. Turns out on the "Normal Eco" setting it uses less hot water (I couldn't feel any) and uses a cold "spray rinse" which is utterly ineffective. Now I have to run it only on Heavy Duty cycle to get it to use warm or hot water. And the washer only offers cold rinses on all cycles. So, I feel like I could have done more research before I bought the machine, but I also feel like the salesperson might have mentioned these features/limitations of the machine. This is why I like to buy things in person rather than online, after all. I'm not sure I will return to or recommend Trail in the future. Definitely won't be recommending Huebsch unless it grows on me!

We spent 20 minutes browsing the store only to find no one wanted to give us the time of day. We will be purchasing our new appliances from a competitor where we were treated like royalty.

I really loved my shopping experience here. Kristian Baxter helped me, and stayed patient with me the entire time. I was the first time buyer of all brand new appliances and this was an exciting shopping experience for me. He answered all of my questions, found me products within my budget, and also within my product requirements. I decided for all LG brand appliances in the black stainless finish. I got a really great sale and I read a lot of great reviews about the LG product lineup. The customer service was great, I've been using the product now for 4 months and I love everything I purchased. I did have some after sales needs, and even in after sales I was given good service by Kristian. I did buy extended warranty on all my appliances, and I feel confident that trail appliances will have my back if I need anything. The inside of the store is really clean the displays are really nice. They have a lot of working display and they show a lot of options of what you could have. I would definitely shop here again!

Fantastic!! Exactly what you should be able to expect, but rarely enjoy, Great Customer Service, Honest, Intelligent, Friendly Sales People ( Zack Mann is Exceptional!), Delivery and Installation. We contacted Trail Appliances by phone, to see if they carried the make and model of dishwasher we wanted. We spoke with Zack who told us they didn't have one in Nanaimo, but could easily order and have one delivered in a reasonable amount of time. We went to the store the next day and luckily Zack was there, He had taken the time to research the model we had wanted and offered us an upgrade, with additional features, that was immediately available for delivery,at the same price as the previous model. Now that's Customer Service! (And this was the first week they were open in Nanaimo, Impressive!) We purchased it, and arranged for delivery and installatiiony by Barron's. The Trail delivery team were Great! They took great care to make sure that they didn't make any mess as they were delivering in the middle of a downpour. The installation service from Barron's was exceptional. Jake worked quickly and was very thorough. He made sure that we understood the operation of the appliance and that we were happy with the installation. A Very Pleasant , Smart person. The Entire process was Fantastic and We will definitely go to Trail Appliances for our next appliance purchase. Thanks Again Zack!

We ordered a full home of appliances in July. Received all but one appliance on time. That was great. The last appliance is still not received..Nov 20. Very little help with no return calls to let us know when to expect it. No call to see if we would like a different one. No real help once we had paid in full for it all. Still waiting and have made several calls in frustration. Disappointing.

High end ....worked for Sears back in the day.....they are made to fall apart... .timers especially.....so make sure with appliances get the extended warranty.....AND USE IT!!!!! IF you don't get the yearly maintenance that's included you'll be buying a new appliance too quick....whereas the yearly maintenance catches all the small problems before they become big

I had to be persistent regarding the Trail Price Match Policy regarding a price advertised at a different retailer, but after some confusion both ways, and with the help and patience of Chen Zhu, the matter was cleared up properly and professionally. Our first time with trail, bought a dishwasher Used their recommended plumber. He set the dishwasher to run as he bolted out of here to catch his ferry and forgot to turn the water back on...it ran on empty for full cycle till we figured out no water on. Cut off now leaks , didn't before, and plumber says it's because it's an old tap so our problem. Not a good start with trail.

I bought a Electrolux laundry set. I had contacted Mr. Aaron Stevens by phone and explained what I needed, As I walked int the store I was impressed how beautiful,elegant and bright the store is. The sales agents are professionally dressed . Mr. Stevens had done his homework and he introduced the machines that were close to what I needed. He suggested two different brands. He knew a lot about the appliances . He answered all my questions . He was courteous, patient and very knowledgeable. I felt well informed to make my purchase. Excellent service from the showroom to delivery. We had been waiting months for a part to repair our washer, that was purchased from another company, and couldn't wait any longer. Our patience had run out, so we decided to go to Trail Appliances and see how long a wait might be for delivery of a new clothes washer. Amanda Griffiths helped us and was knowledgable and patient with all of our questions. In the end she made sure that we purchased the washer that we needed, and was available for quick delivery. Service during the refrigerator search and sale was adequate. Once the sale was made, however, all service from Trail stopped. Upon delivery of a new Samsung refrigerator it was clear that required parts needed to connect the water line were missing. During a return trip to Trail the day of the delivery it became clear that Trail was not going to assist in making this right. We were on our own to determine which parts were required, purchase them and install ourselves, with no effort made by Trail to collect the proper parts from their service department, or Samsung. I will never purchase another appliance from Trail.

Even though the delivery of our 3 appliances (stove) was delayed for a couple of months, we are happy with the service and support. I would like to mention that the two young men who delivered our appliances (Jordan and Nelson) were courteous, on time (once the items were in the warehouse and on the island) and helpful. Their efforts resulted in the five star rating. Otherwise it would be three. Way to go lads, hope you get a raise for great work you do.

Bruce Tober was the sales person & I have to say He was very helpfull in makeing sure we had enough space for the Fridge we liked. we just love it & the experince with Bruce was very enjoyable. My husband and I visited the Nanaimo location looking for an appliance package - fridge, wall oven, microwave, hood fan. We spoke with Christian about our needs and as it was almost closing time, he took our details and said he would call the following day after speaking with a manager. 9 days later, no phone call, no follow up, no response from them. So we spent our $5000+ elsewhere. I guess we weren't going to spend enough and it wasn't worth their time.

But they didn't have a fridge that was big and didn't have an ice maker and they had a lot of fridges. I think the person serving me was more interested in going home for the night so I left

I was welcomed with prompt helpful service when I arrived. Purchased a washing machine and had delivery arranged for the following week however it did not arrive on the date expected. I contacted the sales person who initally helped me and was given a number to contact to inquire about the status myself as he was off that day. I was told they had no record of my order/deliver. Trail then notified me that there had been an oversight and would not be delivered for another 3 weeks but no guarantee?! Although I was given a apology, it was expressed the situation was out of their control. Needless to say I canceled my order, requested a refund and went to another supplier for my needs. Disappointing.

Just walked into this store and met Bruce Tober - a great salesman. My husband and I asked lots of questions about their products, he explained to us with full patience, he spoke to us slowly and clearly, even with some body language, because we are not native English speaker. Finally we got what we want after sufficient comparisons. One month after my purchase, I applied to change one item from my order-refrigerator, he gave me the best price without any hesitation. This was definitely a nice purchase experience, I would highly recommend Bruce Tober and Trail Appliance to my friends.

Great first experience at Trail this weekend. Love that we could take advantage of Boxing Day sales even though our delivery is not scheduled till Spring and any better deals will be applied between now and then. Our salesperson was excellent. Extremely knowledgeable at comparing different brands with a frank & honest sales approach. 100% recommend Zack Mann at the Nanaimo location. Works hard for you and super approachable. This guy knows what he's doing. Hopefully we aren't buying more appliances anytime soon, but when we do, we'll be back. Great selection and interactive showroom.

Excellent service! I purchased a new Frigidaire in December 2019 and was not happy with it. Trail Appliances sent out a repairman twice and eventually replaced the fridge with another new one. Long story short, neither of the two new Frigidaire fridges were acceptable, and Trail Appliances offered to replace it yet again with a new Samsung, providing I paid the difference. And they paid the delivery charges as well! Amit and Zack were the guys directly involved, and could not have been nicer. Now, I am just hopeful the new Samsung will be satisfactory. Anyway, top marks to this company for keeping their customers satisfied.

I have dealt with Trail for many years and I have always been treated above my expectations! So well that I referred many of my Real Estate Clients to them. I retired 6 years ago and moved here to the Island, Qualicum Beach area and have never looked back! Then our freezer QUIT! I called the Nanaimo Store on June 11, 20 and talked with Kristian Baxter! He was wonderful and as much as we were disappointed to learn no freezers were available till mid July, HE made me feel that he really cared. We actually got one about 15 days before the expected time! That means he told the supplier that we were losing food! Good for him! NOT HAPPY WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE OF MANAGER - We purchased a Bosch on June 26th - it is a SHPM65Z55N model. 1500.00 dishwasher. On June 27th we picked it up and brought it home to install, after installing it and pushing it into place, we noticed the door had damage on the sides, and front. It appeared to have been squished and looked "buckled" rather than dented. My husband immediately called the sales rep we purchased the dishwasher from, who was great and has been great the entire process. He spoke to Amit (Emit) the manager and explained the situation. Amit told him that he could replace the dented part, we expressed that we did not pay 1500 for a pieced together dishwasher and we would like a replacement dishwasher delivered. The manager said he would look at the stock and get back to him the next day. My husband expressed that we are now being left without a dishwasher with kids, a pregnant wife and that we would like to use this one in the mean time since it was 90% installed, (after a day of getting parts and working to get it installed). The manager said no dont use it but then agreed we could use it that night and he would call us back the next day with an update when we could get a replacement dishwasher ( BOSCH). June 27th was a Saturday, Sunday came NO CALL, MONDAY - NO CALL - TUESDAY NO CALL - WEDNESDAY - Canada Day- we called they were closed. THURSDAY my husband had to leave town for a 3 week shift, which meant I was to deal with it. I called Amit and he denied saying he would call the next day and that we could use it, he went as far to say he was taking three days off after he talked to my husband, ( SO did he think we were just waiting around on his days off) he now stated the dishwasher is used and we are not able to have a replacement dishwasher, I was not happy with this as it was not our fault he didnt call and we also expressed that going without a dishwasher was not a option, hence spending 1500 on a good one. Amit basically called my husband a lier. I stated at most businesses when one manager is away they pass on the workload to the working manager ( who also never called us). On this call Thursday July 2nd Amit stated there was no Bosch in stock and it would be 6-8 weeks due to COVID from the factory. I requested we use this dishwasher until a new once can arrive, he said NO, I said it is their job to not send out faulty product and I am not sure why I am the one who should be inconvenienced, not them. after back and forth arguing and him stating I could either go without a dishwasher or have a tech come out, I finally stated I would settle for having a tech come out and and evaluate the dishwasher for me. I would make my decision then. I requested a discount as I am now having another inconvenience along with a person coming to my house during COVID which is another reason we picked up the dishwasher and self installed. He offered me 75.00 off a 1500 dishwasher ... I laughed, comical right ? he then said 100. I asked him to provide an extended warranty too as I will now be getting a serviced dishwasher and one that has been pieced together. He said the extended warranty is 128.00 so it would only cost me 28.00 --- yes he is trying to get more money out of me rather then acting in the best customer service way and throw it in. The next day he called and told me he put a call into the call centre for a service tech, he said they called me yesterday to arrange, I checked my phone and it appeared I missed their call - NO VOICEMAIL - he said they would call me back today to set up an appointment - that was 5 days ago - I again had to call Trail Appliciances in Nanaimo asking for them to call me. This issue is yet to be resolved, but needless to say I would buy my next appliance ANYWHERE but Trail even if it is a bit more money.

Bought a dishwasher 2 weeks ago, supposed to be delivered and installed January 25. Somehow it missed the truck from Vancouver, but the super support staff gave us a $100 discount and moved heaven and earth to have it installed Friday. Stuff happens, but they did everything they could to rectify the situation. Thank you.

We purchased a Washer and Dryer from Trail appliances in May 2020 and it has been a very difficult installation from the start. The installers arrived at our home and discovered the Dryer was damaged. They could not install the Washer as they hoses were too short to reach the taps and washer. Off they went subsequent phone calls and promises by Trail to rectify the situation has not been fruitful. The replacement dryer and hoses arrived this morning and guess what they did not have the proper hoses again so they installed the washer and dryer but did not complete the install. To say the least this has been a poor experience. I now have to deal with Trail again to try and rectify a situation that should have been solved a month ago. Trail has set a number of install dates and then at last minute cancelled for various reasons. They will have to come back for the third time all because the sales people and the first installers did not communicate with each other. The customer suffers and now has to chase the sales people and service people to get the situation satisfied. Sales man Kevan and installer Nelson. Can't in good conscience recommend Trail at this stage. They cannot make this whole for the $ 3,000 plus that we spent with them just on this purchase alone. We have been regular customers with Trail and purchased many different appliances for years and have always had a good experience. We just want our situation fixed. Now will have to see how they respond.

Don't trust these guys. Pressured us into buying and could not deliver on their promises. Was told appliances would arrive mid July when ordered in April and only Miele Appliances could be delivered that quickly...was a lie. Trail Appliances has now responded saying issues have been resolved in fact nothing has changed. I was contacted by Justin the Nanaimo Trail Appliances Manager and he said he would look into things and get back to me sometime this week. Nothing has been resolved! July 8th and still not resolved. Supposedly waiting to hear back from Miele Western Canada Rep.

We chose Trail Appliance because they have a great selection and a huge showroom. We were immediately greeted by Aaron Stevens and we could not have asked for a better experience. Aaron was able to provide very knowledgeable information about every appliance in the store and turned what we had expected would be a stressful decision making process into an enjoyable and informative experience. We purchased an entire appliance package for our new home and highly recommend Aaron and Trail Appliance. There is no need to shop around as Trail appliance has it all and they price match. Their extended warranties are very competitively priced and take the Stress out of dealing with the manufacturers because they do that for you. Happy Happy.

He was so accommodating and made sure I would get the fridge the next morning because my circumstances were rather unique. If I could give Trail Appliances Nanaimo 6 stars I would. After a very negative experience at Lowe’s, and probably the worst customer service I’d ever had, I had no fridge after more than a month of waiting. After getting my refund I Immediately went to Trail for help. Aaron, the salesman at Trail went over and above to make me and my husband happy customers. He found the exact fridge we had ordered from Lowe’s (but never got) and pulled some strings to get it to us in a hurry, and match the price we had paid previously. The fridge arrived quickly as promised and we were thrilled. Throughout this whole process Aaron and the customer service team kept us updated and the communication was great. The delivery crew was also fantastic. They spent a long time making this new fridge it perfectly into our oddly shaped and quirky older home. They were friendly, helpful and also went over and above with their customer service. They made sure we were completely satisfied before having us sign off. We were grateful that they didn’t rush through and took the time to make everything just right. We’ve already recommended Trail to friends and family and will continue to. I’ll be back next week to pick out a new dishwasher with Aaron’s help, and am confident we’ll be well taken care of again.

The two Delivery men were very kind! They weren't supposed to install my dryer but they insisted that they do. They installed the new dryer and moved my old dryer to the garage in less 15 minutes. Don't expect any after purchase care from these people. I had warrenty issues that I was left to deal with.The final delivery of the fridge was dissappointing. The delivery people were unable to move my old fridge from the house 50 feet to the carport due to liablity concerns?? Although cash would make it happen!! Further more the delivery truck broke my driveway curb in several places and drove on my lawn. It will take time and money to repair. I reported all of this to Bryan and he assured me he would contact the Resolutions Team and Delivery Manager right away. That was 15 days ago and no contact. So all in all not happy
