I required a quick replacement of a zipper on a coat I planned to wear on a trip I was leaving for shortly. I contacted several other businesses who were not interested in this type of repair or could not do it in time. The staff at Prostitch were very accomodating and polite stating they would try to do the job on time. They did so and the repair was perfect. I was unable to tell it had been repaired. Their politeness and professionalism when dealing with me was refreshing.

I went to take in my very simple 2 layer prom dress to get it hemmed about three inches. I remember looking up the price of a hem job like that and aw estimates of $17-$30. I was quoted $120-$125. That's the average price for a large wedding gown. $120 to get three inches cut off? I don't think so.

I've used Pro Stitch a few times. Once they referred me to another shop. If I remember correctly, it was because they had a lot of work ahead of me. I appreciated the honesty and respect that they sent me to a competitor instead of having me wait. I recently bought jeans and wore them once before noticing the seam in the leg was coming apart. I was really bummed because I couldn't wear them and didn't have the receipt anymore, but had paid quite a bit for them. After putting it off for months (they were in my car the whole time haha) I finally brought them in to find out how much it would cost. They made a quick repair on the spot and told me if I wanted to put $2 in the tip jar I could otherwise not to worry about it. They could have easily charged me $20 or more I would have paid and not known it was such an easy fix. I've been happy with every job they've done and have had great experiences with everyone. That's what made me decide to write this review. My way of saying thank you. The couple of really poor reviews here sound completely made up to me. A competitor without as much class as Pro Stitch, that's my guess.

I find the review above hard to believe!! I have been taking my curtains there for a while, started last year, and right on the book it says 29.95... I have hemmed ten panels so far, all for 29.95 except for two curtains which had lining... those cost me 49.95. That's with lining and everything... just came back from picking up my last set. As far as I know they haven't changed their prices since they were at the mall! I find their service extremely good, the price list is on a book for anyone to see, they have refunded me a couple times when they over quoted me... nice people in general... no complaints for me.

They gave my pants to another customer and tried to insist that the pants that had my name on the paper slip were mine…implied I was lying. Four trips later, they were finally able to locate my pants that they had given to another woman and they called me to come and pick up the correct pants. After a day of inconsiderate worry there was no apology, and insisted that their system always works… clearly they need to have a better tracking system. Very rude.

Paid in advance as asked - never had to pay in advance before! Job appears to be OK - sleeves in lined coat are shortened. The coat was brand new with tags intact and I was offered a recycled used bag to take the article home with, which I declined, whereupon a new bag was offered. I feel it was expensive but I don't really know exactly what other shops are charging for that exact "repair", and it was not totally out of line.

DO NOT TRUST, not worth it. Friendly when things are going okay, any problem will be blamed on your clothing or you, not their alterations work. I recommend just avoiding this place altogether.
