Had an absolutely amazing experience today with Codey purchasing our home essentials , we usually dread going into home furniture stores as it’s usually pushy emotionless sales associates just trying to make a buck on commission however this was not the case ! He was very personable and easy to relate to and gave us a human experience, he helped us find the perfect products for our needs and was very relatable as we’re expecting a little one and himself as a new father had all the information we needed to keep our new future furniture safe! When I walk into that place I feel very uncomfortable. The staff don't even greet you with the exception of that older lady she does everything to accomidate you. The sales man I spoke later, did not even encourage me to buy. He seemed he can't wait for me to leave. I like the one at Langford better.

A few weeks ago me and my family bought a couch with a pull-out bed from Robert and were very happy with his service! Very helpful, informative and friendly. When our couch was first delivered it was slightly damaged which was frustrating, but a new one was brought a couple days later. Cody Love was awesome when my husband and I were looking for a bed, he wasn’t too pushy and was really helpful. He took a walk around when we were trying out some beds so it wasn’t awkward for us while we were laying on them. And showed us all the different price ranges of the type of bed we were looking for and helped us pick out the perfect mattress and pillows and gave us his own review of the mattress pad that he has so we bought the same one. The Brick is the number one furniture store in Victoria! My husband and I needed to fill an apartment with furniture and made our way from store to store looking for just the right items. Generally, we found one item at one store, one item at another, until we met Cody at The Brick. This guy is a real gem. He knew his stock, he knew the computer program, he listened, did some research, and then showed us options that specifically suited us. We'd been in the store twice before, just looking around, but with Cody, we ended up looking at a number of pieces we'd overlooked and they were awesome. With a list of items, Cody was able to bundle them together and give us an amazing price. He made our day. Then, he called to tell us he had everything in stock and could deliver right away. STOCK! I know this was an exceptional situation and not everyone will find everything like we did, but we do know you'll get this level of service. Thanks Cody at The Brick. Compliments to The Brick's delivery team. Not sure if they are an internal department or a third party contractor but they sent a team of three people to deliver a large piece of furniture, and all three were exceptionally skilled and professional. The delivery went off smoothly and quickly despite multiple unexpected challenges (e.g. the truck could only get halfway down our street because it was obstructed by phone cables). In particular I want to note that they were exceptionally observant about obstructions in their path before carrying the pieces up stairs, and consequently avoided a lot of potential property damage from baby gates, low hanging fixtures, etc. Maybe a bit of a trivial in the grand scheme of things, but it definitely took a lot of stress off my shoulders.

If I could give ZERO stars I would. I bought a floor lamp that turned out to be scratched and looked like it had been dragged across a concrete floor. I returned the lamp and went back 3 days later to pick up a replacement. When I got home I had a really nice surprise..... IT WAS THE SAME LAMP REPACKAGED!!! I am very happy with my brick purchase! I’ve purchased a tent sale couch years ago which was great, and a new mattress a few years ago with no problems. In July I placed an order for the new “Sofi” collection which I expected to have by September 15 - I was disappointed to find out the manufacturer has delayed their product and it would be a month if not longer to receive my new couches! I called the store and Jeremy, the store manager, was very helpful in explaining the situation and suggested we could look at an alternative to get some furniture sooner- we popped by and in less than an hour we found 2 pieces from the tent sale in great condition to go home with that afternoon AND saved money! Very happy with my experience!

Just had the best experience with Codey here in Victoria! We went in browzing for a sectional and wanting to ask about appliances and he hooked us up with the best deal around, hands down! Not to mention that he is the most down to earth sales rep we've ever met, he even stayed an hour past closing and didn't sweat it. Ouf the thought of buying a couch on Black Friday, with a newborn, was daunting to say the least. But we were so fortunate to have Codey's help! Not only was he incredibly understanding and accommodating, we found the perfect couch that covered all of our needs! Codey even carried an ottoman across the store for us to ensure it matched the couch. He also walked us through how the warranty worked, went the extra mile to ensure we got the best possible price, and pulled some strings for delivery! Couldn't be more happy with the experience!

Really disappointed for these reasons: 1- the sofa was delivered two sides are left and I had to wait 5 days to get the right one. In my house worming party, everybody was questioning. 2- Night stand was damaged from the corner. 3- dresser has peeled paint. 4- Otman was broken. All of this in one order. I always buy from the Brick, but I think now I will change my mind.

We bought a dinning room table set and were assured 3 times it would be here, a few days before it was supposed to be arrived we were called to be told it would be 2 weeks late. Yesterday a very rude lady called us to tell us it wouldn’t be here till the middle of November. A month after we were told it would 100 precent be here. The customer service was terrible, the lady was rude and I was blown away at how a company could let their employees speak to a customer that way. After we expressed dissatisfaction the lady got very defensive and short with us. Im very sad and disappointed with my experience.

I bought a queen headboard plus rails from The Brick. Three weeks ago I saw a little bug on the bed so I caught it and took it to a pest control company, I was informed that it was a bed bug. I asked them to inspect my home; they came out did the inspection and advised my that the source of the bugs is the headboard and the nest needs to be destroyed. I called another pest company to get a second opinion and was again advised that the headboard was the source of the bugs as they were not in any other rooms in my home. I made the appointment to get my home treated so I can get rid of the bugs. I went into the Brick Douglas Street to get the headboard returned and was told by the store manager Travis that I will not get the headboard returned as: 1. It came from China and there is no way to prove that the bugs were in the bed when it was delivered. 2.Maybe I went on a trip to another country which has a bed bug epidemic and brought them back with me. This made me mad, because Mr. Store manager just passive aggressively racially profiled me, so since I am a black woman with an accent I am automatically responsible for the bed bugs in my headboard? The store manager further went on to inform me that if I post any comment about the Brick there will be legal ramifications as I could be sued by them.

One of the biggest problems with The Brick is it everything is Commission. Was looking for a mattress and of course they try and get you to put a deposit down, promising you that it will lock the price in and that is fully refundable if you change your mind. There was intense pressure to put the money down right away, when I repeatedly stated that I wanted to come back with a credit card that had a higher limit. I ended up changing my mind about the mattress the following day and when I went back to reclaim my deposit, they laid the guilt trip on, asking if there was anything they could do to salvage the deal and reminding me that "it's 100% commission you know" and the sales clerk had spent a lot of time with me. Turned out it was a good thing I changed my mind about the mattress, as the reviews I found were absolutely terrible, despite the misleading statements from the sales clerk. I walked away with The Brick feeling a bit like I was back in Turkey, negotiating at the Grand Bazaar.

I will never buy from this establishment again. I bought a coffee table & end table & a sofa. The coffee table had a big split in it when they opened the box. Luckily & THANK GOD I had purchased the warranty on everything. The first thing was my sofa. The cushion where I sat was indented after a couple of months. I barely weighed 100lbs. They sent an adjuster & he too thought it shouldn't be doing that.Then the material, a very thin corduroy, got damaged by dried chocolate. (This should not have damaged it, it had the protective spray on it but...) They sent the same adjuster to verify & then months later, after repeated calls I was told they couldn't replace the cushion because they no longer had the fabric. I would have to pick out a new couch. I liked the style & the fabric of the couch I had. I hadn't had it very long. I needed a chocolate brown fabric to match the rest of my decor & the only one available was horrible. But it's not over, they give you the protectants to put on the wood & fabric. These treatments have to be repeated every now & then. With the coffee table, the instructions were to rub a thin layer on & leave it for a few minutes then polish it. Worked great the first time but the second time it started rubbing the finish off of my table. I had to get a new table. I bought all of these items because they were to my taste. Not based on price. I have owned many couches & coffee tables over the years & not once had this kind of experience. The staff at the Brick were rude & unhelpful. I had to fight them all the way. And I'm stuck with an ugly couch!

I wouldn’t even rate them this much if it was possible. Worst customer service. I went in the store to buy a new mattress and everything was ok till it came to payment. One of their employee (Jim) told me to sign up for the Brick card to get free delivery and I agreed and he asked for my Credit card and my photo id. So, i gave him my student id and my credit card, he then said sorry we need other photo id i told him i did not got my bc id yet(as icbc issued me a new one and i haven’t got that yet). So he called the manager and asked and the manager said that we can do it if you bring your passport in. I agreed and i got my passport in my next visit(same day). Now they said we need Canadian passport not Indian. They should have specified what they needed before as i Didn’t live next door. And then i said ill pass on the mattress and the manager didn’t even bothered to say sorry even though it was their mistake. I wasted my time I could have gone to Dodds or sleep country. And the way the manager asked me fir id, it looked that he is doubting my identity. I have never been that embarrassed before as i was today. My background is customer service and I don’t think thats the way a customer is treated. Would never come back and will not recommend anyone. I hope their is some action taken against the manager and the staff is trained on how to deal with customer and asking for correct documents.

I will never buy furniture from here again. I bought a bed frame and when I received it, started building it only to realize half the parts were missing! I emailed the brick and they told me that they would have the parts shipped out to me from the manufacturer. That was A MONTH AGO and I am still waiting with a half constructed bed frame sitting in the middle of my floor. Every time I phone them they give me a different delivery date. This has been a nightmare. Buy somewhere else like IKEA or Wayfair where the manufacturers actually do their jobs and send you furniture with all the parts. Edit: after reaching out to head office and contacting the Brick multiple ways, I’ve changed my review to 3 stars. The store manager, Jeremy reached out to me directly by phone and addressed my frustrations. Thanks Jeremy!

I went to this location last week. I was happy to find out that its staff members were not in my face asking me, "How may I help you?" I was able to loop around the whole shore twice undisturbed. Once I set my eyes on a piece, I was able to find a salesperson quickly. Codey was very helpful, showing me different buying options and offered me great discount. She found us the perfect mattress in our price range, she didn't make us shake hands or try to be our "best friend". She was just genuine and good at her job. However, the manager we met was very intense and seemed to be from that old-school style of sales that would have run us out of the store had he been on rotation when we walked in. I'm glad that people like Tomi are being hired at stores like The Brick so that those of us who want a low-pressure, regular shopping experience can try a few mattresses without the stress of the traditional sales environment.

In January we have bought several pieces of furniture. Everything went OK until the delivery part came up. The process of delivery was stretched for 4 months, pieces of furniture brought one by one, which was extremely inconvenient. The last pretty large piece was just dumped at the entrance hall of the apartment building. No delivery to the apartment, no unpacking, no cleaning the garbage. All left for the customer 87 years old to deal with it. Will never shop there again.

The compressor in our fridge was failing and it was recommended to replace the fridge. I went onto the Brick's website, but found the amount of options overwhelming. I contacted Codey Love, Sales Consultant with the Brick's Victoria (Douglas) store asking for his help. The tenant in our rental unit provided a photo and measurements, which I forward to Codey. Codey got back to me within the hour, having researched viable options and delivery dates. He even went as far as reviewing client reviews! He then offered to make room on a truck to have it delivered the same day. I asked Codey to coordinate the delivery with the tenant, which he did. The tenant was thrilled with the fellows taking away the old model and installing the new fridge and even provided me a picture of it in his kitchen. It was a wonderful stress free experience. It's more about policies and their company rules. Nobody cares about your service or if you are happy about it or missing something or what can be done to make it better. Anything else is just frustrating. I will never be shopping at this branch again.

Pretty horrific customer service. Ordered a washer dryer from Quinn, who was very helpful. He told me that delivery would be on the 21st, and that I would get a call on the 20th telling me the time of delivery. Didn't get a call, so I called them to ask. The two ladies I spoke with were horribly rude, told me it was my problem, and just to be at home waiting all day. I asked to speak with a manager for clarification, and the second lady (who wouldn't give her name) refused, told me "this is how we've done things for 63 years". I've purchased from the brick before, and have never been treated this poorly before. I cannot recommend strongly enough to avoid this place.

The employee who processed my order went ahead and checked off that I wanted the insurance for their Brick credit card that I was signing up for. I didn't notice this and signed it assuming she did it right because I said NO to insurance. I said no because I planned to pay the full balance within a month (had to move money around). Desjardins who supplied the Brick credit card has been charging the insurance to the card that I didn't know I signed up for. It's been 6 months since the purchase and I've not been paying the insurance because I didn't know about it. Now my credit is being affected. I'm extremely angry about this. I might have known about it if Desjardins actually mailed me a paper statement. Instead all of a sudden I was getting vague emails about checking my statement online - which I had no access to. Since I paid the card off in full within a month and had a zero balance I should not have been charged insurance for 6 months on a ZERO BALANCE CARD which it states on the insurance contract. Even if I had agreed to insurance this is still going against their contract! I have complained to the Brick on Douglas via telephone (I got nowhere with them, they basically have no idea what I mean and apparently don't keep records), also with Desjardins, Trans Global Insurance and now with the BBB. All I want is for my credit to be repaired. Avoid the Brick at all costs, they are shady! There's a reason their parking lot is always empty. I will never return and I'll be sure that everyone I know hears my story.

And they haven't even been shipped yet, god only knows when it will ARRIVE, and then actually arrange a time the TECHNICIAN can install this new "MECHANISM" that likely wont fix the warped frame of the couch. Try telling that to the brick though. If i was on my final year of the warranty, I would flip. Because I have a huge suspicion that this is how they slither out of their warranty. Figure it out. We recently moved and shopped at The Brick in Victoria for our downtown condo.We were able to completely furnish it from the one store.The living room sectional the cabinet and large rug are beautiful.The King size Bedroom suite looks spectacular and the bed is extremely comfortable.The prices were more than competitive and we were even able to purchase all the accessories including two large high quality TV’s including the wall mounts.We were particularly happy with CODEY LOVE our sales representative.I was unable to be present in store due to travel.My wife spent a good part of the day looking at various choices and felt unrushed.Codey was knowledgeable of all the products and his follow up was exceptional.He assured the delivery was on time and everything met our expectations.He even called and texted on his days off to confirm details ! He arranged the team that mounted the TV’s & they too were efficient. We could not be happier with our experience at The Brick and with CODEY and are happy to share it with other shoppers.

I would like to share what a great experience I had at the Brick. Right from the moment I entered the store I was greeted by friendly staff and felt welcomed not overwhelmed. I was very impressed with Don, he kindly listened to my needs and reached out to Cory to help me pick out a new mattress and box springs. Have never felt so harassed in my life. The most disorganized, ill informed, unapologetic place in all of Canada. Ordered furniture online and was to get it picked up on 4th. Called and confirmed if the item was there and informed them it was to be picked up by movers. Explicitly asked the person on the phone if they'd need my ID. Was told that not only the furniture was there but that only the ID of the movers was sufficient. The movers went there to be told the furniture ain't there yet. Rescheduled everything for 11th. Confirmed again that the furniture is indeed there and informed that the movers would pick it up. But this time again on 11th they sent the movers away stating their website needs to confirm the ID. Why wasn't it told in any of the 3 calls made to them! Called the manager up who acknowledged there's a problem with training the staff and that it was his 5th day working. But no amends were made. And now I spend my Saturday fuming and rescheduling everything all over again. Never never will I ever buy anything from this store.

We bought a fridge, dishwasher and stove through the Brick and could not be any happier with the service we got from start to finish. Ron was great to work with from the get go - helpful and very communicative. We knew when we purchased our appliances that we'd have to wait a couple of months due to the global supply chain issues, and Ron emailed or called regularly with updates on the anticipated delivery. Ron even provided alternative options with earlier delivery times that we could choose from if we wanted. The two gentlemen that delivered our fridge in particular were fantastic. They went above and beyond what we had expected. We knew it was going to be a very tight squeeze getting the fridge up our stairs (there was less than a 1/2 inch clearance on either side with the fridge doors off), but the two guys quickly took off the doors, carried the 300lb fridge up the stairs (without any dents to our walls), and reassembled the fridge in a matter of minutes. They took away the garbage and recycling as well. We noticed a couple of minor cosmetic issues with the fridge, and notified the store. Julian was quick to respond and went above and beyond what we expected to resolve our problems (he even switched out a chipped door tray with one from the floor model). Overall, we are extremely pleased with the service that we got. We will definitely buy again from the Brick and will recommend them to others!

I went to the Brick shopping for a Sofa sectional. The first time I went there, the sales person followed my partner and I around the store. I was even spooked by the salesman just standing quietly behind us. It made us feel very uncomfortable so we left. The second time the sales person wasn't flexible in the price of the couch, going on how it's on sale X% from regular price, even though I had been researching the couch, and it has always been on "sale" for the past two. I wouldn't recommend as the sales people seem to have questionable sales tactics and can't get social cues to leave customers alone.;

Offers good cheap stuff but the salesmen follow you around like a hawk and lie about the products as they try to sell them. Mine said a couch had "real italian leather" when it's tag said plainly it was made of "genuine leather" which is the name of a synthetic material. Just snakey to have to deal with and even if you ask them to give you space they'll ignore you and follow you around anyway. I don't know if that's protocol or what, but it's very off-putting. If you ignore that though you could get something decent.

I totally disagree with some of the reviews I have read about Talha. Not sure what department he has best experience in but certainly not mattresses as every question we had he had to go ask or look up on the computer. If it was not for the great price on the mattress we purchased my wife was ready to walk. When he made up invoice he tried to charge us double for the box springs. We then called Visa Desjardins as I wanted to pay out my current balance and then finance the bed. Charles from financing extended my financing for a week so I had time to pay off balance owing and we could do the deal that day. I asked Charles also about administration charges as I was doing same financing before and he told me that was not up to him it was up to the Merchant to deal with. I explained this to Talha and he did not even take the time to see what hje could do. He also then told us that box springs for King Size beds would not be available till 26th or 27th of May yet delivery dept called me the next day saying they were in and are delivering on the 18th of May. Again we told Talha that we only have Sundays and Mondays off and clearly did not inform us they do not deliver those days so now my wife is having to take day off which again has cost us money and inconvenienced us. Last but not least he told us pillows they had on stand were buy one get one free. Well unfortunately once again he did not know that not all of them qualified for that deal as he had to look up which ones did after we had picked ones we liked as they were not the ones that qualified.My wife at this point was frustrated and said the other Brick Store had them on sale and even Sleep Country had the cooling pillows on sale. His comment back to her was "I think you should buy from me seeing all the time I have spent with you" Good thing everything was already invoiced for the bed as she returned the comment back to him saying "Really, you don't want to go there right now" and we would of walked out. Bottom line is we were treated poorly and would not deal with him again as even one of the other sales people there apologized for way we were handled. I wish we could of done deal with him as I had actually asked him some questions (while Talha was looking information up ) about the mattress' as I overheard him training someone on beds and clearly new much more that Talha. Wish I had his name as he was the one that had information I was looking for and that was why we purchased the mattress. Very frustrating shopping experience and would suggest someone talk to this sales person about Customer Service and Manners.I know nothing will be done as far as compensation but had to write this review as have never been treated so poorly by Sales.

Customer service is proportional to competition, this is why the experiences in some of the stores in Vitoria is not pleasant. The Birck is one typical example. Make sure what your are buying is the correct and COMPLETE material on your own responsibility. Once money is out of your pocket the game is over. NOBODY cares here about customer experience/ satisfaction. The sales person survive on the commission... you enter the shop like one nee pray. Codey helped me out from the beginning and was very knowledgable and confidant. He was easy to talk to, knew what I needed, and helped give me ideas for my new condo that I had not yet thought of. My girlfriend and I are moving into our first place together. We are on a budget and didn’t know what to expect walking in. I was greeted by the sales advisor Codey who was very friendly and patient with my girlfriend and I. He would gave us honest answers to our questions regardless of the cost of the appliance. I told him that we had a limit that we didn’t intend to go over and he honoured that and made sure even if they had to take a loss that we were happy wth our purchase. It was a lengthy process which felt effortless with every step and we were greeted by the manager before our transaction concluded and thanked us for the business. To make it even better if you don’t use your warranty within the given time that money goes back into your pocket you can use on future purchases. Looking for appliances and furniture in a new dwelling isn’t easy and I felt relieved leaving the store I managed to get everything I needed. They’re a great place of business and I’ll be telling all my friends moving into a new place to go there.

The worst staff. Went there because I was in a desperate need for a mattress and box spring. They were all nice and sweet till the sale had to be made. I wanted to to get a twin but the twin mattress wouldn't arrive till January 23, so I opted to go for the full mattress so I could get it over the weekend. I would have walked out if the full was not in stock and could not get by the weekend. In order to make the sale the staff told me that the mattress was in stock and would be ready for delivery Jan 11. I told the representative that call me the day before the scheduled delivery to just make sure the building issue had been resolved. I paid for the mattress and that was it. I waited till Jan 13 and I got no call from the store. I did not sleep over the weekend and I work night shifts. I called on Jan 13 and was told the mattress would not come till Jan 22. And if I wanted one right away I could get a different mattress. After I had seen other mattresses the first time I went I chose the one I wanted. I did not want another mattress, except the one I paid for. I told him I wanted a refund, when I went in the representative was smiling and all happy to see me like nothing happened and he had my order and hadn't screwed me over. I am someone who has ADHD and depression and am on medication. Without sleep if I take my meds, I start to hallucinate. But, I need my medications to help me focus in class and go about day. I had no where to sleep and I worked night shifts. I went to school during the day so my schedule was very busy. I called corporate and complained. The store manager called me back on Tuesday, he wasn't pleasant to talk to and did not understand or care about what had been done. I told him what happened was fraud as I was told everything would be ready to deliver by Jan 11, but your staff lied to me to make a sale. The representative knew I was in desperate need and took advantage. And I hadn't slept since Saturday cause of that and I couldn't take my medications. He said there was nothing he could do so I told him then I don't want to talk to you. Victoria got hit with a snowstorm that Tuesday so no one could deliver a mattress till Friday at least. I couldn't go those many days with no sleep. And had to put myself in a hotel which cost me extra out pocket expense, which sucks because I have tuition to pay and textbooks had just cost me $1200. I told them to pay for the hotel till I could get a mattress shipped because your staff are the reason I am left hanging or I would have been sleeping in my bed. But they were of no help. The regional manager still hasn't called back. I have been left traumatized by this situation, it took a toll on my health and mental health. Save your money, spend it at a place that isn't commission hungry to the point they are ready to forget humanity, ruin someone's day, and will not lie to make a sale and take advantage of you or your vulnerable situation. The worst place to shop.

I bought a table from there, but they didn't deliver it. When I ask them why they didn't deliver it they said their system is broken, my order wasn't recorded, and it will deliver in a week. After few days, I still didn't get anything. They said it out of stock until December second week. Final, I took one month and get nothing except angry. Now, I have cancelled the order

Instead of selling me anything that could have made him an easy sale, he actually advised me against paying for certain items since they would not have benefited me. I would definitely recommend dealing with him and if I were to purchase another item from the Brick, I would surely ask for him. When I received the couch, there was small damage. Looked around near closing time. Found it odd how there was approximately 6-7 employees on the floor. There wasn't anyone else except me and another man. Kept getting asked if I wanted help, which I said I was looking. Eventually they left me alone. When it was time to ask about a particular piece of furniture, I found all 6 of them sitting on a display table, every one of them typing on their cell phones. They ignored me until I basically asked one of them (the less desperate of the bunch) to help me. The man that did help me was very helpful and I felt good I was buying from there, but when he was ringing my purchase in, the others practically glared across the floor at us. They constantly were staring at us until we left. We came back a few days later to pick up a table we also wanted, and it was slightly better but we couldn't get anyone to help us even though there was only 3 people in the store. We ended up finally finding the same man that helped us prior and he walked us through everything. Selection is okay I suppose, though some is severely overpriced. I don't know how busy it normally gets in the daytime but early evening, you guys have way too much staff on the floor and they're all doing nothing. It's creepy.

I am a regular customer with Brick. I purchased an entertainment center from Brick Victoria location during black friday. During the purchase I have confirmed that price guarantee exist for the product. I got an offer on Brick insurance which is worth $250 for $70; and in the invoice they adjusted the price of entertainment center as they cannot add the adjustment ($180) to the insurance. For boxing day the same unit came on offer $100 less than the value I purchased. I went to brick and requested for price guarantee, initially they claimed that I purchased the product lesser value than the current value citing the invoice and I was able to explain the situation with the manager there. He assured me price guarantee and would get back to me. He called me next day after some follow-up from my side and said another person will call me. Which never happened, tired of this follow-up. If they are not willing to do price guarantee, don't offer it.

I feel like the saleslady is looking down at us, I feel really disappointed about how she reacted when I say the price of the mattress that we are looking for, her reaction was, "oh oh we cannot talk anymore if that is the price you're looking for..." she was the one who insisted that we tell her the price of the mattress we wanted. She doesn't possess the quality of a good salesperson. That is why we went to sleep country where the salesperson is so nice and accomodating.

Caught the end of their semi-annual sale on a Sunday evening and bought a sectional + picked out a new mattress in about 30 minutes before closing with help from sales rep Gary Smith. The whole purchase process was smooth and efficient, he answered all my questions about the warranty option and helped me a few minutes past when they should have closed to find the SKU for the mattress so I could buy it online. EDIT: Have not been getting the communication about order delivery that The Brick says it provides, including on the day the delivery is scheduled. For two deliveries I’m having to call the store to find out when it’s coming despite them saying they’ll reach out to you before the scheduled date to confirm. When I called the store about my couch on the date the sales guy gave me for delivery, they said they have nothing scheduled yet and are expecting the order to come in “before the end of the month”, more than a month after I ordered it. Why did I have to call THEM to get this information? Way to negate good in-store service with terrible follow-through, downgraded from 5 stars to 2 because a couch shouldn’t take an entire month to get delivered.

This review will start strangely however it speaks to the quality of the staff at this location - without exception they were 100% amazing!! We purchased a fridge to fit a kitchen with very odd dimensions for the fridge space as the old fridge was failing. The sales person searched and amazingly found one where other stores we unable to help. The price was right as it was a fridge from storage and the brand was Frigidaire, which we thought would be reliable. It fit perfectly; however, it had several issues, which the Brick Canada customer service couldn't seem to resolve, however, the store was fantastic and resolved all of them for us. Skip forward 2 months and the handle broke. After spending way too much time - several hours - to get a hold of Frigidaire customer service only to be disconnected and when I tried to follow up with customer service by email received no response. Live chat got to me back to our local store's manager and he had it resolved within a couple hours! So thumbs down on Frigidaire customer service - No stars. Five stars for the Local Brick team - you are all awesome! You turned a lemon into lemonade :)

My issue was finally resolved satisfactorily, so I've rated it 3 stars. But I remain undecided on whether I will shop there again. --- While I thought Gary was very helpful and friendly in the store, he incorrectly told me I was paying for and would receive a service that The Brick, in fact, doesn't even offer. When I called customer service they said they'd call me back. When I didn't get a call I phoned the store directly and spoke to the manager who also said he'd call me back. That was 5 days ago.

Horrible place to shop. Was not even greeted after entering and looking around like a deer in headlights I saw 3 sales people look at me and say nothing. The service is non-existent. The sales people are very stuck up in their demeanor. The product is lacking of any kind of quality. When leaving I turned to say thank you as I usually do and saw a sales man just standing watching me leave and he said nothing. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere.

His name is CJ, and he really truly worked hard with me to make my home beautiful. My aunt experienced a very stressful and disrespectful experience after she purchased her stove and warranty services. This negative experience went on for over 4 months with no satisfaction and having to return the merchandise for a 3rd time for a complete refund. The Brick out-source their repair technicians and delivery service which is not always accommodating! Also their warranty costs were approx a 1/3 more than another reputable store. Better customer service training starting from the top down needed for some of their employees.

I have been doing upgrades to my place and needed new furniture. I attended the Brick location on Douglas Street in Victoria and found everything I needed. I met a salesman named Codey Love and he has been fantastic and a big help. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. After selecting a dining table and 6 chairs from the Bricks in January. They had the table available so I took it and they promised that the chairs will be delivered within a month. I waited until the beginning of April I heard nothing from them. So I called them to get an update. They told me that we are expecting to be delivered end of May ( not even confirmed) so I asked for a different table that would be available. I went to the store and choose another table that is available but I need to pick it next week so I paid the difference. When I went today to pick it up, I was surprised that the customer service guy telling me we had another customer and we sold it to him so I have to wait..... what kind of business would do that with there customer not even call me ahead of time after I did all my arrangements??

Staff is ample and yet service is non existant. The showroom displays a empty husk of what once was a great furniture store. The furniture seems dated and overpriced, while the floor layout is confusing and has no flow. Do yourself a favor, if you are looking for good quality furniture at reasonable rates, shop elsewhere.

Changing my review from 2 stars to 4 after some updates. We ordered a couch on Boxing Day, got a delivery date set up, paid for the whole thing, done. The Brick screwed up the delivery date, apparently didn't have a couch for us, and made things pretty difficult so I left a 2 star review because couches are $$ and I took time off work for nothing waiting for a couch that wasn't going to come. They ended up calling me to apologize, refunded the delivery fee, and got the couch to me in a timely-ish manner. Everybody I worked with was genuinely kind- my 2 star review had nothing to do with how anybody at The Brick treated me, just with the actual saga of getting a couch.

I did not realize you could make that many mistakes, likely closer to 10 times something wasn't initially charged or delivery/installation wasn't booked. Very bad customer service even from manager of store I went today to get bed room furniture and we liked a bed on good price and found after long waited time that the BIG HUGE sign of price board with big tent sale stand was on wrong place . The man on floor with already took more than 20 minutes just to check in their computer but unfortunately couldn’t find the and called the manger of store he came and took couple of minutes again to check and got back to us with a very silly smile said this price is wrong .. he was not accepting their mistake initially and when I mention couple of time check name of product and number was all same on wrong price board he was just took the board away from that place not even say sorry or any compensate just went away from us I Never had have that kind of customer service before in my life not even grocery store .... Don’t go and waisted your time and money there ...

Vefa is a great sales associate that really wants to get you the items you want in the budget you are aiming for. I went in looking for a specific kind of sofa that would not only able to fit in my apartment, but also have a pull out and a sectional piece. He showed me multiple options, not once trying to push me out of my budget. He is upfront with information about when each option is available for delivery so you can make an informed choice. After one visit me and my partner left with an awesome couch!

UPDATE !! So the brick has called me and they will take back the sofa (tomorrow:)) and refund me !! Thank you so much. I have ordered a sofa online, big mistake. Service client : very nice people. The problem is : not refund possible if you have opened the boxes for your sofa, I don't like my sofa the sit are too firm, and the sofa has a weird size, miss few centimeters to be comfortable. With the pandemic they could have changes their policies...

For the past year I have been dealing with Cody Love at this location and he has taken great care of me (and my family) matching us up to the furniture that suits us and our space(s) the best. Any issues we have had (not many) have been addressed to our satisfaction and beyond. This location really takes care of its customers and values their business. I can't think of anywhere else that I would go to get furnishings or appliances for my home. Not to mention the great payment options! I had a wonderful experience purchasing from The Brick. I ordered online and it was super easy and convenient! My desired item was in-stock and was deliverable within a couple of days from placing the order. That is the main reason why I choose to purchase from here. The delivery fee was also reasonable. On delivery day the delivery people were punctual and dressed accordingly to COVID protocols. They were actually employees of The Brick and not third party personnel unlike some other furniture cooperations use. This made it more professional and qualified. The delivery people opened my new furniture box within seconds and took all the garbage and packaging with them, which many other furniture stores don't do. They would even assemble the little bit that was needed, but couldn't due to COVID. Also which many other furniture stores don't offer to do. Overall, I'm really happy with my purchase from The Brick, my desired furniture item exceeded my expectations and so did the delivery team! I'll be returning to The Brick again surely.
