I am furious about our experience here and I’ll try to remain calm and civil while writing this review. To be fair, we have had good experiences here before, and we sent our expensive stuff here for dry cleaning which were nicely done - wedding gown, coat, and dress, they have done a good job until something terrible today happened. So today my wife found out her jacket which was sent to Busy Bee for dry cleaning a few months ago was actually damaged and Busy Bee deliberately covered it up without telling us and didn’t even try to fix it! We only found out today because after picking it up from Busy Bee a few months ago, she has never worn this jacket. All the inner sleeve seam was damaged as you can see from the pictures and they just used safety pins to cover it up. I mean they claim themselves as master tailor, and they didn’t even try to sow it and make up for their mistake?? Just wow!!! Anyway, as I don’t have the receipt anymore and don’t want to confront them without any solid proof; I don’t need anything from them either because this is a easy fix. I just want to inform people about my experience here and let people make informed decision whether they should patronize here or not.

Had my wedding dress cleaned here in 2018, and really appreciated the care that went into both the cleaning and packaging. The monogrammed cloth cover over the box is an especially nice touch. It's not cheap, but worth it for a cleaning that removes all residues, and will preserve that special dress long term.

Another false advertisement on google maps in this city. Apparently they are not 'Busy Bee One hour service ' (as is states) even though it's their address on the name. Commerces of this city seriously need to realize they are responsible for updating their Google info. When I comment on that all I get is 'oh yeah that's not right'. Never a 'we should fix that'. Meanwhile another hour on transit wasted for me to get a service that apparently does not exist. Please do everyone a favour and update your online information.

Dry cleaning with exceptional attention paid to details. One of the very few dry cleaners I have used which I can ALWAYS rely upon to get address every single spot on a garment and also notice the fine points such as a loose button or a failing hem stitch. Recently I took in the long cardigan pictured here. It had been snagged in probably 20 spots but a cane chair at a restaurant. I was pretty certain it was ruined. But, as you can see from the images here BUSY BEE GOLD returned it to "as good as new" condition. Also amazing is that they did so at what I believe was a very reasonable price. BUSY BEE GOLD is aptly named. I recommend them for all your clothing finery!!

I can’t speak to their cleaning/laundry services but I can tell you that they helped a lady today who desperately needed to pee. All the washrooms at 7-11 and Subway were either not for public or not in service. And I ran into the Busy Bee to ask to use their staff bathroom, they were very nice and accommodating especially since I had an important job interviews right after. They even wished me luck as I ran out! Thank you to the staff and manager there for accommodating me in my desperate need :) I am so grateful. Remember that Seinfeld episode where the dry cleaners were running some sort of clothes leasing business on the side? This place kind of reminds me of that. Left some shirts on Monday, they want to return it to me Friday. When I asked about earlier I got contemptuous looks. Also beware when leaving pants for dry cleaning. The price will not be what you expect. For example if they are hemmed its more, if it has lining then there is an additional extra charge. I think I ended up paying $25 (maybe $30?) for washing pants.

I was looking for a place in the area to get clothing alterations done. Took my new pair of jeans for hemming to Busy Bee Gold and that was a huge mistake. Asked to keep the original hem and they DID NOT. The stitching looks like someone with no experience has done it, so sloppy and uneven, left side is 1 cm longer than the right one and on top of that it took one week - which is absolutely ridiculous. I wouldn't recommend their alteration services to anyone.

They lie and make promises about doing specific things to fix or meet expectations and end up doing worse or nothing at all. Before I start this review, I need to take a moment to let out a sigh of relief. *le sigh* Okay, I'm back! Here goes: My husband and I got married nearly three years ago, and my wedding dress has sat in our office closet ever since. We got married in Hawaii and so took a lot of photos out on the ocean on top of a bed of black lava rock. It was never my intention to “trash the dress,” but it was certainly worse for wear once all was said and done. Since then I’d always meant to have it dry cleaned and put into a nice box, but it was one of those chores I just kept forgetting about and putting off because I thought there was no rush. I recently heard about Busy Bee Gold and how well they preserve wedding dresses, so I pulled it out of the closet to bring it in to the shop. I was pretty horrified! Three years of neglect had turned my dress a faded yellow colour, the black lava rock stains were still there, and I was pretty sure there has been a Mai Tai spilled down the front it. Moments after I entered the store, I was greeted by Mohamud, the soft-spoken and kindly owner of Busy Bee Gold. I told him I was slightly embarrassed over the nearly three years of neglect I'd inflicted on my gown, and that I'd all but lost hope that the dress could ever be revived to its original glory. He was confident that he could work a little magic. Mohamud explained that my wedding dress would be cleaned by hand (yes - really!) and then washed with a custom-blended solution, tailored for my gown. Then it would be stuffed to maintain its shape, laid out beautifully in a box, and wrapped in soft muslin fabric. He said their process is eco-friendly and that each detail of my dress would be carefully protected. I was pretty confident that my wedding gown was in good hands! After nearly six weeks, I finally picked up the gown on Monday. When Mohamud carefully opened the box to unveil my gown, I was speechless! Each lava stain (and the Mai Tai spill) were gone. The yellow tinge was also gone. Inside the box was a perfectly-presented, white, pristine gown, more beautiful than I'd remembered. Thanks to Mohamud and his “magic,” I fell in love with my dress all over again. Ladies – go see this man! My dress had been stuffed in a closet for years, so I promise there’s still hope for your gown too. ;-)

I took my wedding dress to another dry cleaners for cleaning and preservation and they RUINED it and scammed us out of $250. I desperately looked for the best dry cleaners in Vancouver and found Busy Bee Gold. I took it to them and they cleaned it and restored it and preserved it. It looks better than new now and the preservation box is so incredibly fancy with layers and layers to open to keep the dress in pristine shape for years to come. Love it. Definitely appreciate all the hard work, enthusiasm, and care that the owner put into it. He clearly treated my expensive dress like he treats higher-end designer dresses that are 10x more expensive; he wants to make sure we feel just as special. He clearly loves what he does. We were surprised there was no tipping option on the machine when we paid. Highly recommended.

I have used Busy Bee Gold before and they have always done a good job. Recently, I took two coats there and asked if I could pay upfront but the girl said no. I then asked how much it would cost to clean the jackets and the girl said it would be $53. I asked if this was for each coat and she said it was the cost for them together. I came back a few days later to pick up my coats and was shocked to hear that the price was $102. I told the person that I was quoted as $53 and she said that was wrong and the girl who told me that was new - it was my problem, not the business who gave me the wrong information in this first place. I was happy with the cleaning but extremely displeased with the price which was nearly double what I had originally been told. Needless to say, I won’t be going back.

The staff is always friendly, work's done on time and they always take the time to look over any garments on bring in before cleaning and advise on any potential issues. I haven't used their repair services so I can't comment on that but I do like that they have some on site services. Also love that they're always striving to use the greenest methods available.

I really was excited to try this place out as I was looking for a new alteration store. First time using their services, the lady charged me a whopping $80 before tax for alteration of a jacket and when I got it back, it was basically the same size before I had brought it in. I will not be returning.

I had some beautiful and irreplaceable wool dress coats and a leather jacket damaged by water while in storage Some mold had also developed by the time it was discovered. A friend who was Wardrobe Head in the film industry recommended that I take them to Busy Bee Gold because of her previous excellent experience with them. They did not disappoint. Grace spent a lot of time thoroughly going over each coat and the damage and explained in detail what they would do to try to save them. Note: This location has a Master Cleaner on site. In the end, my wool coats came out looking amazing. After a detailed explanation of the pros and cons of dry cleaning the leather coat, I was able to make an informed decision that it was not worth the effort to try to save it. I have not found anyone to clean leather since the Ace of Suedes closed, so I was very happy to discover that they do clean leather. Grace showed exceptional customer service skills including follow up phone calls and other staff I spoke to were all very friendly. Even though I live in New Westminster, I will be using this location for any future dry cleaning. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Thank you so much Grace and Busy Bee Gold Team!

Brought in a women's cotton jacket for dry cleaning. When I went to pick up the jacket, the price was $10 more than what I was originally told when I brought the jacket in. Their excuse was it was a sports jacket. They must be blind because it's clearly a women's jacket. I should of inspected the jacket as soon as I brought it home but waited til the next season. They did not clean the jacket at all. There was a stain under the collar that I told them about. The stain was still there; not even faded and still had the green sticker they taped beside the stain. Pure first class scammers. Never will I visit this place again.

After our wedding we took both my husbands suit as well as my wedding dress for cleaning. I researched beforehand for the best place in Vancouver to have my dress cleaned and they did not disappoint. Their service was great, both the owner and the attendant took the time to walk us through the process and answer any questions that we may have. The dress had gotten quite dirty, but they cleaned it up as new, checked all the beading and fixed what needed fixing. Their online booking and automated confirmations are very handy too. Very happy with the result, the dress is stored in a box, and covered up with a nicely embroidered fabric. I recommend them, but be aware they are quite pricey.

Customer beware, this company prides themselves on 'full disclosure' pricing but charged me an additional $20 for dry cleaning suits when I tried to pick them up. I was quoted specifically $27+tax per suit when I dropped it off but when I came in it was $37+tax per suit (which is even higher that the $30 listed as a standard price on their website). I was accused of being a liar by the employee and then all of a sudden they came up with justification for the additional charge saying that my suit had a lining and suits with linings require an additional charge. I don't know of any suit that does not have a lining so I would have expected this to be standard. After all, it wasn't even an expensive suit. If you do decide to go here, be sure that the quote you receive is on your receipt so that you can hold the company accountable. The receipt I received when I dropped off the clothing only had the pick-up date and a price of $0 which allows the company to then charge whatever they want when you pick up the clothes. The suits were cleaned well at the end however so that is where they get their 1 star.

If there was 10 stars then that is what I would give. Yes, there are cleaners that are a less expensive, but you get what you pay for. I am not a fussy person but I was tired of getting stuff back from my regular cleaners with notes saying that they could not get stain out, or a cream shirt coming back white. I left about 6 items of clothing with Busy Bee Gold last Saturday and got them back yesterday - and honestly, you would think everything was brand new. Great cleaners and can't say enough of their staff at the front end as well. Lovely, friendly girls .....just great all round.
