Here you will see the feddbacks of people like you who buy the services of Newtex Ltd (Laundry) around Kitchener area (Canada).
Right now the firm receives a rating of 3.5 out of 5 and the score has been calculated on 43 reviews.
You may have noticed that the average score it has is very high, and it's founded on a very large number of feddbacks, so we may be quite sure that the score is quite credible. If there are many people who bothered to value when they are pleased, it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to put evaluations when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Laundry corresponds to the category of Dry cleaner.
Not really professional service
They are terrible to deal with, sent several loads of laundry and dry cleaning to them and they kept switching the dates of when it would be ready. If you call on Saturday they say they don't have access to the system and that you have to wait till Monday. 1 star is the lowest I could give them but I wish Google would allow negative star ratings.
Very fast service and great price.
Extremely disappointed in Newtex over the last few weeks. I have used them for the last year and a half for my businesses linen services & in the past two weeks I have had to follow up multiple times in order to reach someone. We didn’t receive our regular delivery two days in a row which sent me to do the businesses laundry at a lunch mat. I was left scrambling to find a solution so that our clients had clean linens. I understand these are challenging times but there is no excuse for not showing up on a delivery day without any contact
Completely ruined our Moose and gave us nonsense about how it's "defected" from Moose's factory, when our jacket was worn for 2 years with not a hint of damage until they washed it. It obviously looks like it was jammed and pulled in their machines which caused this damage. Only sharp or hard objects can tear the jacket apart like that, and the down lining inside the jacket is also depleated from their wash. The worker there just tells us that we have to take it to Moose if we want it fixed and they never even apologized from start to finish. We didn't take their nonsense and demanded them to compensate/repair it and they start yelling at us about how they're not responsible for the damages they caused and demanded us to pay for the other jackets first. This was ridiculous! Eventually they called the self-claimed "owner"" at 135 Ottawa St, J.P. Renaud, who didn't even treat it seriously and jokes that the jacket is at the end of its lifetime? What kind of business owner speaks like this? What kind of business treats their customers like this? If they can destroy our jacket with not a single apology or compensation, what gives them the right to stay in business? I suspect they did not dry clean the jackets properly and are defrauding customers by secretly machine washing these items not according to dry cleaning methods.
The worst customer service I’ve ever received from a business! Their clerk was rude, argumentative, and would not even allow me to get a word in. Will never give them my business again. If you want to lose all your customers, and continue to have the lowest on line ratings, keep people like that working for you. No idea how to speak to people let alone a customer. Disgusted.
I bought in some clothes that had been in an apartment with bed bugs. Newtex did an outstanding job and the results were excellent.
Amazing customer service and an even better job on my clothing. This is the only Dry Cleaners you want to go to!!
Newtex has had some bad reviews but my experience with them has always been 5 star. The service is fast, friendly, and the prices for their services are great. My sincere thanks to *Ryan( rang up and processed my order)..and to Janet whom did an *amazing job patching up my event vest. If,as a customer, youre in this area of Kitchener and need any services Newtex provides then give these guys a try.Great and amazing servive.
Fantastic service.
I got my winter jacket cleaned here and it came back with animal fur on it. I do not have any pets. I'll never go back here.
We experienced the ultimate customer service experience when we left our dry cleaning for a wedding past closing time on a long weekend. Michelle the Sales Manager and Olivia at front desk arranged for us to pick up the clothes specially on a Sunday just so we didn't have to sacrifice the wedding attendance attire. Wish all establishments could be like this.
Love their service!!
Great experience
I had purchased my wedding dress second hand. It had not be cleaned yet, which made me a little nervous it would still looked stained from the previous person. I took it to Michelle and her team, they got it all cleaned up and looking brand new! Once it was cleaned I met with their tailor, Janet. She was welcoming and easy to work with. When something didn't feel exactly right she had no problem making the adjustments. It was a very comfortable experience, I would definitely recommend!
Good service, good price, good hours, good locations....
Pretty good, but no bike rack which is awkward considering the proximity of the store to the Iron Horse bike trail
Best Dry Cleaner in town, always have a great experience with Newtex and their staff. Reasonably priced and speedy service.
The team at Newtex are amazing! Candice is a sweetheart at the till and Janet, the tailor, can sew almost anything you could think of! Amazing job ladies!
This is my go to dry cleaners. Fast and quality service at a competitive price!
Good hours, friendly staff, no complaints from me.
Went in for a dress alteration by Janet and she did a fantastic job adding darts and a hem! She was very respectful to wear a mask and maintain as much distance as possible to ensure we both felt safe. The woman at the front desk was also very friendly.
Really like that they are open early so I can drop off before going to work. Never had an issue with anything I have taken here.
Fast, friendly, fairly priced.
Outstanding service and fast, reliable work from the tailor. They helped to avert a bad situation quickly (pregnant woman freezing to death! ????). All done with a smile at closing time. Many thanks.
This is NOT a laundromat, google.
Newtex on Ottawa st is terrible They charge for lint removal on the coat and didn t remove it . Attendant said that's the best they could do . I removed the lint with a lint roller when I got it home.
Good service, best price. Good hours...

Where do I start? I hadn't been to the dry cleaners forever, but I got tired of washing and ironing so I took 18 shirts in for cleaning. The reason for the18 was that every third shirt was free, so basically I would get 6 shirts cleaned for free. The price worked out to around $45+. I also asked for a couple of buttons to be sewn on with holes. I was asked if I wanted starch which was free so I said yes. I came back when they were ready and they told me the price was around $75. I was really upset by having to pay an extra $30. When I asked why they informed me that some of the shirts were different materials so they charged more. After arguing with the girl for a refund she said she would talk to the manager. They would not refund my money but gave me a store credit for only $17.50 which is less than I should have gotten. The tailor did a great job with the buttons but during the cleaning process two other shirts came back to me, each with a missing button. There was no starch in the shirts as they had promised. One white shirt had obvious stains on it that they missed. I had to return it three times before it was cleaned. I asked the girl to put a note on it because the employees weren't cleaning it. Had to wait 3 days each time I took it in. The people working behind the counter seemed really friendly and eager to help but I feel cheated by the job that was done. One last thing, they had a promotion running that for every $10 you spent you would get a card stamped and after you had ten stamps you would get free service. I asked why they hadn't told me about it and could I get a stamped card now seeing that I had just spent over $70. She refused. Not a nice place!
I bought a cardigan for dry cleaning, and I got charged for more than I was told. When I mentioned that to the sales person, she just said she didn't know the cardigan had a hood (she did check the cardigan before hand, but evidently missed the hood, but no apologies about it), plus there was another extra charge added on removing some pet hair and lint (which I could have done myself for free). They never contacted me to tell me it would cost me more because of those two things. I mentioned that , but all she said was that was their normal procedure. And that the estimate she gave me before was just an estimate. In my opinion, charging extra without customer's consent (even with good intentions) is not honest business. Granted, I didn't ask for a written quote, but I never had to in the past with other cleaners, so that never even occurred to me. All they had to do was to contact me and ask if it was OK that they charge me more for extra things they wanted to do. I am not going back.
Good service
Staff was very friendly and dry cleaning was done just in time. Lately I could not find a shirt that fit and I was unfamiliar with tailoring, but the staff member there gave me a lot of advice and help regarding it, and the best times to visit for that service. Highly recommend going here for any clothing services!
came in and asked them to specifically be careful with my shirts as they are very expensive, received them back all shrunken...
BEST CLEANERS OUT THERE! I am from out of town and no cleaner around would clean my dress. But I had family that lived in the Waterloo area so I decided to try it out. I am beyond thankful I did. They didn’t clean it once, but twice to ensure I was satisfied. I can’t believe they were able to get a 2 year old stain out of my prom dress. I am so beyond thankful for all that there company did and the sales associate Candice who was so kind in making sure my every need was met! You won’t regret your decision to go there!
I have always taken my dry cleaning to Nextex since I moved to Kitchener in 1985, but recently they impressed me immeasurably. I tasked them with cleaning my late husband's 1970's Leafs hockey jersey, replete with 40 year old stains, so that I could give it to my son. It wasn't easy, but they managed to make it look like new. It was a difficult task, yet Newtex was able to do it. I wouldn't trust my cleaning needs to anyone else.
They always do an amazing jib cleaning whatever I bring there. Knowledgeable & friendly staff.
I've found the only dry cleaners I will ever go to! The prices are great and the lovely lady who works there is the best! Professional and polite and my clothes now look great! Thank you Newtex on Ottawa St!
Very disappointed regular customer… I had never had an issue with them before, but Newtex shrunk my wedding dress, leaving me stuck to try and get it fixed (and requiring me to pay for a second round of rushed alterations) 4 days before my wedding. When I called in to discuss the situation, JP (owner) was condescending, telling me that my story was suspect”, scoffed at me for purchasing a secondhand wedding dress, berated me, and commented that my seamstress didn’t know what she was doing. All this without apologizing, acknowledging my situation or addressing the fact that my wedding dress is now ruined. Needless to say, this is not what I needed to deal with in the days leading up to my wedding. I later called back and spoke with Michelle (other owner) who was much more pleasant to deal with; listened to me, explained their process and offered some options to try and assist. Unfortunately, my appalling experience with JP and his lack of customer service has ruined my perception of their company as a (previous) regular customer of theirs.
Amazing customer service from JP! Job well done! Highly recommend Newtex cleaners to everyone!
Good, friendly, fast. Expensive, but maybe I just think all dry cleaning is expensive - $60 for 4 blazers and a pair of pants.
Went in with my dress clothes, asked the lady how long it was going to take she then decided to yell at me for the amount of clothes I had and said it was too much! And what was I thinking in waiting so long to bring in my clothes that she was having a good day up until then. I asked if I could possibly split the order into two dates because it was my work clothes to which she said she couldn’t do that and if I wanted to pick it up Thursday or Friday and that if I thought I was the only one that went there. So I left and went to Newtex waterloo and they were more then glad to take all my 22 shirts and 3 pairs of pants
I had my wedding dress cleaned here. The staff are very friendly, they did a great job and it was a great price!
Brought a suit to be cleaned so I could attend a funeral. After assuring me the could have it ready for noon the next day I arrived to find that the woman behind the counter couldn't find my suit. After eventually tracking it down in the back she brought me my suit that had clearly not been touched yet. She tried to tell me that it had gone through once but needed to go through again as they couldn't get it clean in the first try. It was shocking that she said that because the suit had clearly not been touched. She also said that the guys in the back were on lunch and said they wouldn't be able to get to it for over an hour. As the funeral I was to attend was a three hour drive I had to take my suit back and wipe it clean at home so I could get to the funeral on time. After calling to voice my displeasure I was told that they couldn't give me a discount as they had cleaned my suit as I had asked. Incredulous....... they are thieves and liars. I'll stick to sketchley from now on, they may not be fast but at least they will actually clean your clothes.
