I gave this a bad rating ONLY for the fact that the woman that was working did not wear a mask and not go around sanitizing what people are touching, considering there was no sanitizer to use when you walk in. It is mandatory to wear a mask, workers the public we all know this and she did not.

I had a show in Kingston on a Friday night and on the way I spilled some sandwich goop on my pants. I wasn't planning on staying more than the night and hadn't brought any other clothes. I explained the situation to the attendant and they were able to get my pants to the dry cleaners in Kingston and return them SAME DAY in time for my show! Incredibly amazing life saving service in a time of need. Thank YOU!

Everytime I go, the ladies there are nice and always helpful. The place is always clean and tidy and the ice cream is Reid's, therefore it's delicious. They're open early and close late so if you go at a reasonable time, no one will say anything or turn you away. If you show up at 8 or 9 expecting to have it washed and dry before 10, you need to take a time management course. Just sayin'.

Surf's Up! provides terrific service, with competent staff who go out of their way to be helpful. We've used their big machines for washing heirloom quilts and big blankets, and they saved us when our washing machine went on the fritz. Furthermore, they are a community-minded, locally-owned business, who consented to having a collection box for the charitable organization Joe's MILL, a local instrument lending library, front and centre on their service desk. I just picked up my Canada Goose from Surfs Up and it looks absolutely beautiful! Not single mark left on it. It had little rub marks and darker spots in the usual spots from wear. Even inside the collar where makeup and stuff rubs... gone! Thank you ????

First few times I came here GREAT service. Older, shorter lady with brown hair was working. Always polite, answered any questions I had and at the ready (with a smile :) when I needed change or to buy a drink. Last two times I’ve been here it was a different lady with blond hair. She is so rude! Is never at the counter and acts as though it is a huge inconvenience when you go to the counter to get change or buy anything. Also this place is open until 10pm, sign says last load at 8:45pm. I loaded all my machines by 8:00pm but when I went to get change (of course she wasn’t at the counter but outside) she stood there and says “you know we close at 10 right”. I replied yes and then she stood there for a minute before giving me my change. I come in all the way from Amherstview because I like that this place has an attendant and the facility is clean and well maintained. But I will not be coming back again, people deserve to be treated better.

In Kingston dry cleaners might seems the same but this place made it so fast and simple! I mostly do laundry at Surf's Up! but I tried their dry cleaning services and the turn around time was two days after they told me three days. I thought that was the best part but of course the real test is how good your clothes look. The were like new! Add great staff and a really comfy cozy spot I wouldn't recommend anywhere else. Two thumbs up!

Asked to shorten the pants, took almost a month. Yet length of two spans are different. Well done so called "15-years of experience" .Terrible terrible place, I wish they take their buisness more seriously. You are not kid selling lemonade. Nontheless, Wosrt service i have ever had in my life. If you would like to get mad I recommend using here, else don't use this place

I was just turned away 40 mins before closing because it was too late for me to use their washers - and I didn't need to dry anything. The women even said so her self it only took 25 mins for the machines. She was RUDE and I will not return!!!!! I have used this laundromat regularly for the last 7 years and will not recommend them again to anyone! If your open till 10 PM then let me use the washers until 10 PM!!!

February 6 2021 I was there today and found it to be very clean and tidy . The lady at the desk was very courteous and helpful . The only one thing I was miffed about was the lady did not wear a mask , otherwise I would have given a 5 star rating .

Don't think I will come here again, only stopped in to do laundry because we were in kingston. Asked the lady for change to use the machines she asks what ones I'm planning on using so I tell her the really big ones, she sais "well how many" ofcoarse I didn't know because I had 3 totes of laundry.. then she sais well that's why you should load your machines before asking for change.. like wth really I need to go to through a questioning or application process to get change... she then stops the next customer and tells him he can't have change till he loads his machines... this woman is kinda rude and a bit of a bully

Convenient location with plenty of washer's and driers available including in commercial size. Staff always on hand to make change for customers or sell laundry soap and drier sheet's. Sitting area while you wait and a restroom. Snacks and Ice Cream also available for purchase as well.

They repaired all their driers! A six-loader, four-loaders, three-loaders. Sort by colour at home. A big lug means fewer trips and better social distancing.

The washers that are working are good, but lots of them have a sign saying they're out of service. There's a mix of top and front loaders, which I appreciate. The dryers are too expensive!! A real plus is that it's clean.

Closest laundromat to my place in Portsmouth, good location for bus, clean and lots of machines, nice waiting area, affordable supplies (dryer fabric softener sheet only 25 cents!), close to stores and food places for something to do while you wait

What an accommodating establishment! I was in late to do a load and although they weren't supposed to let me start I was able to strike a deal with the attendant on duty and pick up my dry clothes the next day. Since I was in such a rush the lady working there helped me through picking the best size of washing machine and as I was loading up she took cash and bought my detergent and brought it back to me! Not even my mother has helped that much in over 15 years! I had a great experience doing my regular laundry and if I need dry cleaning in Kingston I will be sure to give them a try.

Friendly, helpful staff. Top quality machines, that do a great job. Magazines/newspapers, to help spend the time. Or snacks from a well equipped snack bar. Clean. Solar panels on the roof! Lots of parking. In amongst other interesting shops. Best laundromat I've been to.

This place used to be nice about 1.5 years ago but recently when I returned the lady working was HORRIBLE to the customers. She refused me change for the machines because I had too much laundry to do.. Its a damn laundromat...they are supposed to have change available aren't they!? .... so after lugging ALL of my stuff in I had to turn around and haul it BACK to my car! She didn't even help hold the door open while standing right beside me watching me struggle. Horrible! I ended up checking out Frontenac Coin Laundry (I think that's the name) based on amazing reviews and wow was I ever impressed with the service! The owner is the sweetest man ever and so attentive and helpful. Skip Surfs Up and their god awful staff and head over to Frontenac's!!

A large variety of washing machine sizes from regular to giant ones that can handle large comforters etc. Attendant on duty. They also offer drop off service. No one likes doing laundry. This store makes it easy and comfortable.

They're current attendant has a very rude attitude. After a flood of our basement we took 4 bags to Surfs up and were treated like garbage for needing to do laundry. She became agitated because it was 830 and they closed at 10. Very unacceptable for a company trying to make it in today's economy to almost deny and turn away people. Guess from now on we use the Divison street laundry mat since they don't treate people poorly.

Went to visit my daughter at Queens and dropped by here to take a look at the services offered at this laundromat. Although it was for a short time, I saw that the place had converted a pizzeria and laundromat together. It was nice to be able to grab a bite while doing laundry. The staff here are friendly too.

nice and clean. 6$ or 7.50$ or even 9$ for a load of laundry!!! so expensive! im from toronto, and its like 2.25$ in the downtown core! dryers are 25 cents for 4 minutes. i think these prices are a little crazy. nice staff, clean and comfortable environment. nice tables and chairs to sit on while you wait and snacks are available to be bought.

This review is for Dry Cleaning only. I brought in a cashmere half zip sweater for dry cleaning in fall 2019. Surf's Up was close to my home so I chose them, despite not so great reviews. Service was perfect, price was competitive, and time for dry cleaning was as expected. They got the stain out but ruined the sweater. The sweater was form fitting especially at the waist, but when I got it back it was about two sizes too big and kind of wrinkly, so somehow in their cleaning process they had stretched it out and it is not possible to regain the shape. Expensive sweater is unwearable now. I didn't go back to complain because i figured there was no point and I had no proof of what it looked like before. I would choose somewhere else for dry cleaning needs unless your're desperate. Facility overall looks clean and well equipped for laundry.

I had a really wonderful experience at this laundry mat today. The lady there was so kind and helpful. My laundry was ready and folded 3 hours sooner than I had expected it to be. She also was kind enough to put the laundry in new bags for free because the garbage bags I had brought them in were wet. Very pleased with the experience.

Great facilities! I was looking for dry cleaners in Kingston and this place popped up out of nowhere while driving down bath road. I was in and out in minutes and my leather came back looking like when I bought it! I have had bad experiences before when taking leather to be cleaned but I found my place for all my dry cleaning! I highly recommend this place!

The mat itself is lovely, many machines, it's clean, all machines are in working order and adorable inside. BUT. Everytime I come in to use the driers the lady working is just the RUDEST woman that I have encountered in a service location. I asked her a simple question, if there were any driers that may be higher power and she spat back at me "they're all the same" in just the rudest tone, I could not believe it. I then needed change, and she did not speak to me at all... dumped the change I had asked for in my hand and then stormed away. I manage a retail store and I have encountered rude customers before but I am just astonished as this is the THIRD time I have had the same experience with this woman. If this weren't the only mat open late then there is no way I would continue coming here.
