one of the worst Victoria locations of Save-On-Foods if you like their bakeries. quality of their baked breads/buns is so poor. Their display shelving for the bakery is also lacking so most buns are packed so tightly they are dented from each other and the racks.

If you want something in (perhaps a large order of something), they'll get it in for you. Only complaints? The red onions for some reason always seem to be in bad shape, and the meat section could often use a bit more variety/selection.

Absolutely terrible produce, the worst of any grocery store in the whole city. You will be hard pressed to find any vegetables or herbs that are even slightly fresh. Their meat and deli sections are small with a very limited selection. They also seem to have difficulty with their ordering system/methods since half the store is always out of stock. Even if you happen to find the ingredients you are looking for among the limited selection, there is a good chance they will be rotten or out of stock.

I was in save on today at around 1130 am and was following social distancing and the arrows.. One of your employees was hauling boxes or something and was going the wrong way of the arrows.. My aunt commented to him he was going the wrong way.. His snooty response to her was social distancing and the arrows do not apply to him, he could do what he wanted... So I will never shop save on again as they do not care about customer safety....

I have been coming here years; usually without an issue. Brought my backpack to carry groceries home today. Every second item , the self check would stop until a grumpy employee came over to check; mildly frustrating except grumpy-girl would inspect the interior of my bag (stealing something?) before clearing the screen (at least 4 times on maybe 10 items). 100 miles from good customer service; I left feeling like a criminal. Have no intention of returning. There are two more options with 5 minutes and you are not treated either as a criminal or a bother. The gestapo-like security guard at the front entrance has to say something too.

My "home grocery store" in Victoria. A few weeks ago while shopping in the store - had my personal clothing item irreversibly damaged as a result of an improperly sealed bleach bottle. Reported the unfortunate incident to store staff and was promptly attended by a member of their management team - Charlotte. They listened to my concern and reimbursed me for the damaged item. Certainly a team of staff and management that cares about their customers by providing a superb service. Even though I moved to a different community - will continue shopping here.

I saw something this morning that impressed the heck out of me. I was in Save On to pick up a couple of things and was at the self-check outs and I overheard an internal call asking if the person on the other end had "time to take Kim shopping?". A young lady who was blind had entered the store and the service desk had called an employee to help her with her shopping. A very cheerful young man appeared and after impressive pleasantries offered her his arm and off they went. WELL DONE, Save On.

Compostable plastic bags or at the very least paper bags with handles need to be brought in. As a single woman who lives in an apartment building it is extreamly difficult to carry 6 heavy paper bags all at once. To make things worse, the cashier did not give me the option of purchasing reusable bags and he did a horrible job packing my groceries. The bags were over filled and he did not use care with delicate items like eggs, bread and bananas. He just tossed everything in with out a second thought. My bags tore, bread was squished and im lucky my eggs did not break. This was a horrible experience and I will not be returning.

Pretty good selection on things. Most of the food is "lower quality" and very processed/packaged. Their produce selection is average, however the Organics section is seriously Lacking. The store has a small organic section which has packaged dairy, pizzas, soups, jams, vegan cheeses etc which is great! Another awesome thing that Save On offers is an entire section dedicated to people who are Gluten Free or Celiac! How time saving is this?! The bakery offers many varieties of baked goods, however, again the quality is that of your average grocery store, and doesn't come close to a "bakery". They always have hot food in the deli with a good selection. The staff are often whining to me at check out how much longer their shift is or how hard they day was, who have often makes me hate the thought of actually going to buy something from there. But! A beautiful soul who is always ready to smile is a lady named Joy at the Duncan Save On. Shout out to you for being so cute!

The best part of shopping here is the meat department's announcements about their features and sales. I usually stop in after work in the evenings and it really lifts my spirits. Went back 2 days later, and it's still there. Why is this even out? Remove broken shopping hardware from service and spend a little bit of money so customers have some hardware to shop with as they walk around gathering food.

It's a smaller Save-On, but it's okay for product variety. Save on as a chain doesn’t do cash back at the POS. Their emphasis on self serve means that cash registers with people are uncommon. The pharmacy has a phone line that goes to voice mail and they never return calls or do follow up.

Not my usual place but I was in the neighborhood. The lay out is very disorganized and the isle are cluttered with boxes. Also the cashier I had named Cordell was incredibly slow and managed to sneak someone else yogurt into my bag which was charged to me.

Thank you for posting signs on your entryway door that say 'Thank You for wearing a mask'! I avoided the store for months, because Covid 19 safety was lacking! But now I feel better about occasionally shopping here again, at my neighbourhood store, because of your decision to support mask-wearing as an additional layer of protection, and for providing masks to your employees :)

The staff and selection are good. The layout of the store forces you to buy your vegetables and bread products first, and then all your heavy groceries later. Get yourself a buggy even if you only want a few things or your veggies and bread will be squished.

Very disorganized, poorly run, very dusty & dirty in the water filling section, not enough produce to match their sales fliers - & U can return up to 4 times, for things advertised on sale - & those products are still not there!!! One entrance is virtually blocked with displays that could be/ should be set up in a much more appealing & accessible way. Considering this store is in Canada, it's set up like it's in a 3rd world country. In it's day, this store used to have competitive sale prices, be clean, & well run. The best - & only thing good about this store, is it's friendly staff...esp Jim, who went out of his way, to try & satisfy this disgruntled customer!! The staff need to keep smiling, bcuz this is the only - & best tjing about this 'store'!!

I went to purchase the chicken strip meal with fries and the lady gives me 3 of the smallest pieces in the deli tray and charges me the full price when I technically only paid for one chicken strip this is absolutely ridiculous
