Devon prepared a fairly competitive bid for five appliances for our new home including install. Gord's ordered in the selected appliances right away and cheerfully stored them until we were ready so we were comfortable having the cabinets custom sized. Devon pulled the stove template for me when needed. Delivery guys were OUTSTANDING! They were very professional, protecting floors and placing appliances exactly where desired. Unfortunately, despite a week's notice, installs were scheduling several weeks beyond our desired date so we had to handle that part ourselves (which is why I give them four stars instead of five). Having had poor experiences with several alternative suppliers in Kamloops, I would certainly choose Gord's again!

Excellent service from start to finish when we called about our 14 year old washer that had quit working. They assessed what the problem was and whether it was worth fixing or replacing, given its age. It ended up being a relatively cheap fix and their honesty saved us from having to spend money on a brand new appliance. Much appreciated. Highly recommend.

I bought 5 appliances from Gord’s wanting to support small business. I had to pay 250.00 to have the dishwasher installed, and 50.00 for each of the other appliances. The inexperienced men that came were very nice and polite but did not really know what they were doing, took 3 visits and me tell him how to make the dishwasher fit in the opening before he got it right, he had it sticking out past the counter and said the builders did not make the counter wide enough, in the end it was simple (just move the hose, instead of trying to push it back) the dryer was installed by the other guy and he left the insulation in the vent and placed the hose overtop and called it done. I did not see him do this so I ran the dryer causing the room to steam up (there could have been a FIRE) I called and spoke to the service manager, and he did not seem to concerned, he sent the same guys back to fix it. No offer to refund me anything even though there could have been a fire, he just did not seem to care. Long story sorry, I have a friend that just bought up here and needed all new appliances after my experience they went to Home Depot and got a great deal and they install for free except the dishwasher. When we found out that replacing a burner on our old Maytag would be about 1/3 the cost of replacing the entire stove, we phoned Gord's. Over the phone Kayla helped us pick out the right replacement, and three days later two very capable young men removed and took away the old unit, and quickly installed the new one. Prior to the new owners they were great but it's gone to hell since and not because of Covid unless there's a new symptom that makes people lie. They KNOW it's gonna take weeks to bring in a part from the lower mainland. Why not be honest and just say so? We ordered a fridge over the phone in July, as we knew what model we wanted and were told 30 days, super helpful when taking the order not so much once they had the order, twice we had to chase down information in the 2 months they sat on our $1000 deposit, only to be told November, maybe. The 2nd time both of us were treated very disrespectfully by staff, they were dismissive and condescending. It took 3 phone calls (and being hung up on for saying a bad word once - "crock of sh*t") to finally get our money back. Kayla was the worst, speaking so nonchalant and giggling and laughing, very unprofessional! We went to Best Buy and had our fridge 10 days later, delivered into our home by professional courteous delivery staff. This is the 3rd "local" business we have tried to support, but this encounter has permanently changed our thoughts on supporting local. Worst experience thus far!

I had a fridge delivery yesterday and they were running late. They called me about half an hour before they arrived to let me know what was going on, which I appreciated but it would have been nice if they had called sooner because I already emptied my old fridge, which means that I had stuff just sitting on the counter at room temperature. Secondly, there were handprints and fingerprints on the new fridge, which were left there after they left. Thirdly, they did not bother taking their shoes off when they entered my place. I understand that they were in a hurry but for what you charge for delivery, I actually expected more because I had had my furniture (couch, bed, coffee table, tv stand, and a rug) delivered to me for half what you charge. I still tipped them generously for their help so it is not about the money but more about my expectation.

My dryer broke down. As a mom of 3 kids with a postal worker husband during a pandemic, I am panicking. Our household does a lot of laundry!! The technician was fantastic and I had no issues whatsoever with him. He had the dryer working when he left but warned me it might stop working again. Again, I had no issues with the technician. However, Kayla in the parts centre was not pleasant either time I spoke to her (booking the original call and then me calling an hour after the tech left to tell her my machine was not working again and to order the part). She also accused me of not having paid the callout fee when I had already paid the technician directly using his debit machine. She then tried to give me a line saying the technician hadn't synced it up yet. The technician also told me that if the dryer failed again within 30 days that I wouldn't have to pay the callout fee again, however, Kayla told me that when the part comes in I have to pay for the part(not a problem), labor (obviously) AND the callout fee(um, okay???? Not what the tech told me...). She was extremely rude and patronizing. Based solely on my experience with her, I would NOT recommend Gord's. If I could afford it, I would go with Giddons however I've already sunk money into this.

I was very impressed! Joel arrived the next day after I phoned about a dishwasher problem. Although the issue had resolved itself, he explained the probable cause and also gave us an overall assessment of the unit. Also, if it acts up in the next 30 days, he will come out again at no charge.

Recently our upright freezer stopped working. A early morning call to Devon resulted in a service person attending our home. The service person quickly assessed the problem to be a gas leak from the evaporator. We contacted Devon again to purchase a new freezer which was delivered and installed by two employees who were very careful while removing and replacing the old freezer all in the same day.
