Dryer wasn't heating up. I called Jay and left a message, and he got back to me the next day. I had already booked with another company, but they couldn't make it until mid-next week. Jay was nice enough to tell me the part number for the heating element just in case so that I could ask if the other company had it on hand. That was appreciated as he didn't need to do that. Luckily though, Jay was able to fit me in for an appointment this week Friday. It turned out to be just the thermostat that was broken and not the more expensive heating element. Did first load of laundry tonight and dryer is back up and running.

Jay fixed our fridge in the summer. It turned out to be the circuit board. He ordered the board and replaced it quickly. The price was reasonable and the service was prompt. Recently (winter) I had some temperature problems with the same fridge unrelated to the work Jay had performed. I called him on the phone and he gave me a few tips on what to look for so I could solve the problem myself. It turns out a large plastic bag at the back of the fridge was keeping the air from circulating properly. He was right and the fridge is working fine now. Thanks Jay!

I had him repair a dishwasher, it wasn't draining. It needed a new pump. In less then 2 months the pump went again. Tried calling him back and he wouldn't return my calls. Would not recommend.

Called on Thursday July 25 about my upright freezer not freezing. Asked that I call back Friday morning. Called first thing Friday and was told that he would be out late afternoon. No show. Called Saturday to say truck broke down. It is now 4 pm on Monday the 29th still no call as to when he plans on coming. Had to call another company or risk losing everything in our freezer. Very poor business practice. No follow up. Would definitely not recommend this company.

Jay is fantastic!!! Honest. Knowledgeable and gets right to the problem. He took apart our dryer in front of me in seconds and pointed to the fried belt and another part that was stiff causing it to pull. He fit us in when the wait was a week or more elsewhere. I’m so glad I found him and would recommend him in a heartbeat

Extremely rude customer service in my own home. He wouldn't make eye contact or have a respectful conversation. I wanted to explain that I had taken the front panel off so I could check for a clog in the drain and wanted to show him where I put the screws. He wouldn't make eye contact and told me he's worked on a thousand machines. Then he said he had another 16 calls that day and didn't need me telling him anything. He left angry after confronted for how he was treating me. I called my landlord to let her know of the treatment and he had already called and justified his behaviour saying that I was trying to tell him how to do his job. The reality was I was just wanting to show him where I put the screws, all in order on the dryer. I even made sure I lifted the dryer off the washer for him, as its a stacker. My landlord had to come to the house with him so he could complete the job he was hired to do. Just a horrible experience with someone that should be trained to be professional.

Jay is simply the best person in town to call if you have an appliance that needs repaired. He made an emergency call to the medical office that I work at after a pillow exploded in the washing machine. He fixed my dishwasher after getting the model # and diagnosing the problem over the phone and ordering the part so he could install it as soon as it came in with no over charge on the part. We have used Jay a few times now for both our fridge and dishwasher. He has been great to work with, professional, fast and courteous. He won't replace parts that don't need to be replaced and gives his honest opinion before working on anything. There is a good reason all reviewers have given him 5 stars. We won't use anyone else. Great customer service is a rarity these days so finding someone like Jay goes a long way in taking the stress out of dealing with broken appliances.

I called Giddens for a broken fridge and was told they were busy and I'd need to wait at least 2 weeks. The Giddens employee couldnt get off the phone quick enough. I call Doing It Right and he gave may a quick fix to get the fridge running while he ordered the part. He called back a day later and said he was on his way over. Had the fridge working again in 20 mins for a fair price. I wouldn't go any where else!
