Got a quilt from there and washed it before putting it on my bed. When it fell apart at the seams, I called only to be told that u should never wash a quilt! How disgusting never to wash something that u sweat on nightly!! Then I was hung up on! Obviously they don't stand behind their products. I had stopped grocery shopping there due to outdated food and rotten meat. Guess I won't be shopping there at all anymore

Northmart isn't bad; it's clean and typically well stocked. Their prices are higher than other stores in town, and they're not very involved in the community. I only buy meat and sugar here because they are less expensive than at other stores.

Excellent local northern chain grocer that's usually well stocked for groceries but a little lacking in other merchandise. Prices are generally comparable, but those who shave the dollar may want to shop around . Its nice to have a Tim Horton's Express, but they don't take Tim's cards. Freezer section is one of the largest in town as is produce section. Shop daily to catch specials.

Good variety of different merchandise to purchase. Some Costco stuff, some giant Tiger stuff, a small selection of clothes, lots of food. The store was clean and the people were friendly!

Double check all fresh product and best before dates, and expiration dates. Often have to pick through all the vegetable to find the least mouldy one.

This place has a good selection of groceries, some clothing and footwear, pet supplies, household appliances, limited selection of hardware and furniture, a pharmacy, a coffee shop and a pizza and chicken snack counter. Remarkably the place even sells snowmobiles. Northmart is an extremely old building which has been severly neglected by its parent company Northwest Company,Winnipeg, where shareholders get generous dividends while Northmart employees work in a grungy, dirty outdated, poorly lit, fire trap. The public washrooms have been closed off due to misuse. The best thing about Inuvit's Northmart is the employees are consistently friendly and helpful. Prices are mostly high, with a few loss leaders occasionally and the occasional 50% off on near expired items. Yes you can buy sunglasses, sunscreen and bug repellant. Sorry no alcohol sales here or loitering.

NorthMart is part grocery store and part department store, and all convenience! The biggest store in Inuvik.also features a pharmacy, a lottery kiosk, and eating options in the furthest north Pizza Hut and KFC in the world.
