I needed a new washer and dryer during the pandemic to replace an old set that was no longer working. Buying new appliances is painful on a good day, but during a pandemic when supplies are limited? Forget it. I ended up going to The Brick initially which was my first mistake. Although they were extremely professional and kind during the purchase, after the sale there was no customer care whatsoever. I was given a delivery date and ended up having to contact them when the delivery wasn’t made, and I was told it was only an estimate, that they would contact me when they knew when my order would be in the warehouse for delivery. Hmmmm, not what they said at all, but I had waited 3 weeks for this delivery date to come and go, and now had the further inconvenience of 2 unusable appliances sitting in the middle of my bathroom!. Needless to say, I canceled the order and went straight over to CAS. They were efficient, helpful, and had my washer and dryer in stock! It’s only a week later and I am doing laundry with my new washer and dryer! Delivery service was great as well - polite delivery men who were efficient and careful. The best part is you can check the ETA of your delivery online on delivery day! 5 stars!!!!!

I dealt with Mohammad at CAS. Knowing how COVID has affected people getting appliances I knew that it would be difficult to get a washer and dryer in. I had just come from the Brick and didn't get any customer service there and was told they couldn't give me any timeline on when to expect appliances and the salesperson seemed disinterested in dealing with me. I popped into CAS because my neighbor got appliances there and Mohammad was amazing. He showed me what they had in the warehouse and could be in quickly (did not go with that option because of online reviews) but went with what we wanted. I know it's gonna be a wait but he spent the evening after the store had closed to ensure we got what we needed.

Friend purchased a top load washer CAS , had it delivered to his rental unit. The crew hooked up hot and cold water and left the drain hose attached to back of the washer told the tenant its was "Good To Go" His tenant put a load of laundry in and went to work. As a result the machine drained all its water onto the floor ruining $15000 of hardwood floors

After an infuriaring experience at Leon's, CAS was an absolute breeze to deal with. Found a much better deal, no hassle whatsoever from my vendor and the delivery team was simply outstanding! CAS says more than its prayers. We ordered a Maytag washer and dryer because CAS offered installation (for a fee). When they arrived, they said I needed a part for the dryer vent, which I offered to purchase. (I would have been gone 10 minutes -- we spent more time arguing about it). They refused to wait and even resisted installing the washer. One of the cheap plastic legs on the dryer broke while I was attempting to connect it to the vent, and CAS refused to do anything about it, claiming it was a Maytag issue. They did refund the installation fee but all other communications have been ignored.

Wow - first a text to remind you as well as a vm on your upcoming delivery. Glad they called about 20 mins of arriving bc both my husband and I forgot all about it. An exercise in frustration. I'll never buy from them again. Ordered dishwasher that was "in stock". Delivery date moved twice and I still don't have it and now the website says it's discontinued. They have tried to sell me other dishwashers and I'm now 4 days into trying to get someone to understand that they don't have what I ordered and I do not want anything else so I'd like a refund...Giving them another couple of days to sort it out before I start from the credit card company angle of charged for an item I did not/will not receive. They were slightly cheaper than other places only until I factor in the amount of time I have now spent on this. At one point they even said "can you come into our Scarborough store"...that is only 1,800 km away so yes, I'd love to just take a quick 4 day trip to get a refund sorted out...

In September 2020 we bought a washer a dryer a stove a dishwasher and a refrigerator They shipped us the wrong refrigerator They made a mistake with one of the letters on the order and even though they knew that they shipped the wrong refrigerator to us and knew we were moving to a new home They told us we couldn't use the wrong refrigerator until the new one came in its place so we had to buy a mini fridge and they told us if we used the refrigerator that they shipped in error they wouldn't take it back And they want to charge us a 25% surcharge because we don't have the packaging for the wrong fridge. And they're going to charge us $130 to pick up the fridge that they shipped the wrong model I would highly recommend to never use this company ever

I was apprehensive about ordering my appliances from CAS after reading some negative reviews online, however my experience ended up being fabulous! Our sales rep, TJ, was extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the different options. He gave me a great deal on the appliances, and helped come up with some creative solutions when the fridge/dishwasher model I wanted wasn’t available. Delivery was fabulous as well - only one day late (which given the pandemic and supply chain issues, I’d call basically on time!) lots of updates by email on order status, delivery, and even text messages on delivery day indicating what time the delivery would be, and when the truck was ten minutes away (seriously, awesome! Every delivery company should do this). I ordered a few other appliances from another big box retailer and the difference in experience is night and day. Great experience with CAS, I would recommend them to anyone!

TL;DR we're left with a dryer that doesn't work, no refund for the first dryer, lazy movers who left us with the brunt of the work, and a call centre that is just an answering machine. Don't make our mistake -- if you care about quality products and good customer service, stay away from CAS. Their behaviour, at least in our case, has been terrible. My partner and I ordered a dryer and went with CAS since they had the fastest delivery times. When the dryer arrived, we couldn't fit it through the door to our basement -- that's our fault, we forgot to measure -- and returned the dryer, and ordered a second one that was on sale. Here's where the issues begin: 1) it's been almost two weeks since the first dryer was returned and we've yet to receive a refund. I'm happy to eat the delivery fees, as that was on me, but I'm still about ~$650 + tax for the time being. 2) Every time we talk to the store, we are advised to call the CAS call centre for help. Curiously, the call centre has you stay on hold for ~5 minutes and then links you to a voice mail. This has now happened to us twice. Why keep us on hold only to speak to an answering machine? 3) Our new dryer arrived, and the movers claimed it wouldn't be able to fit in the basement and left it upstairs for us to deal with. My partner and I were able to move it down ourselves once our work days had ended... it wasn't very hard. 4) The new dryer does not work. It spins, but won't heat. We called CAS (who had told us when we purchased it to call them if there were any issues), and they advised us to call GE for a service call. We have a date on September 2nd. Until then, we won't have the use of our dryer and will have to use a laundromat. 5) We realized when looking at the bill of sale for the GE call that although we'd purchased the dryer on sale, we were charged the full price ($524) rather than the sales price ($482). It's not a huge difference, but that is incredibly sleazy of them. So, we're left with a dryer that doesn't work, no refund for the first dryer, lazy movers who left us with the brunt of the work, and a call centre that is just an answering machine. Don't make our mistake -- if you care about quality products and good customer service, stay away from CAS. They're behaviour, at least in our case, has been terrible.

Dont ever buy anything from this store. They really have bad service. I orderd 5 appliances 2 months ago and I paid for the washer installation; the sale guy said that they will do installation for the other 3 appliances (fridge, ranges, and over the range microwave). The appliances arrived yesterday but the delivery guy said he did not do the installation and he only dropped appliances in my garage (did not even bring them into the house). Chat with the agent online and she provided me contractor for installation and it cost me 450$ plus 100$ for moving appliances into the house and she refused to covered that money. I will try to return those appliances and get the refund.

The store is so beautifully laid out and allows you to get a great feel for how the appliances would look and feel in your home. Once all appliances were ready, the delivery process and notification system was effortless! We received a 4 hour window the day prior, as well as a “30 minutes out” text, which was right on time! It can be few and far between to find good customer service like this these days, so we wanted to share!

The purchase process was from site in Halifax good service good variety. Some items not available out of stock due to the make and type of fridge freezer required limited options one week for delivery and delivery on time within a four hour window. Would have been nice to have fridge set up but that is not part of delivery. There are companies with white glove service all install included. All in all we are grateful that we were able to get what we needed. Pricing was similar to others but did notice on some items they have better prices.

Word of warning, do not buy from here. My husband and I had a horrible experience as things that were promised to us were not followed through, and they deliberately avoided mentioning costs when going through the invoice only to charge us on things that were promised to be thrown in as multiple appliances were purchased. After weeks of trying to get a refund for said charges, I realized it is was lost cause as customer service is horrible. Better off buying form home detail, trust me!

Definitely dont spend your hard earned money here. Great appliances but customer service is seriously lacking. If they do promise you an extra like delivery or appliance removal, make sure you get that in writing and you keep a copy because they will go to great lengths to deny responsibility for promises made by their sales staff. We ordered all of our appliances here 6 months prior to moving in to our new build. They said we would be guaranteed to have all our appliances delivered on time due to us ordering so early. When it came time to pick a delivery date they said all of our stuff was back ordered for over a month. They informed us of this "fluid" system they have. This means any appliance of ours that comes in, if the rest of our stuff is not there or we can't take it right away they give it to someone else. They do not hold these items for you. Would have been nice to know instead of a month before our house closing day. We got a full refund and went to Home Depot that can actually get these appliances for us on time and not give them away after we paid in full. They will tell you no one else has these appliances in stock but that is not the case. Home Depot had 20+ of all of our appliances in stock. This was possibly the worse retail experience. We bought a brand new Bosch which we found out was damaged when we opened the box at home (it was completely bashed in the back.) These things happen so we understood. The problem we faced was with the customer service once we asked for an exchange. When I called the store to tell them it was damaged there was no help in terms of how to go about it we were told to call the customer line and no "bye" they just hung up on me (and I was being so nice at that point!) The follow up on the customer service end was non existent. It was only when 3 weeks had gone by that I was fed up and called the customer service line to cancel my order entirely that I finally found the one employee at the entire company was not only was helpful- she went above and beyond and my dishwasher was delivered shortly after. Jane O'Donnell thank you so much for your assistance, I was beyond frustrated and you were the only one that helped us out. I truly appreciate you taking your job seriously and I am so grateful that I was finally able to go to bed before midnight (as often after a work day and kids at home all day I would spend hours at night doing dishes.) I really hope this is a learning opportunity for this company- be more like Jane.

The microwave I purchased had a damage - it happens, its ok, BUT their customer service is terrible. They force you to upload photos to their website, wait who know how much time and they also may reject your claim. so they are may be good untill sonething happens. I have had my appliances ordered since March, paid for in full since August, and had delivery booked for Oct. 19, which is today. I find out today that they lost my booking for delivery, all of my appliances were given away, and everything is now on backorder for another 3 months. Nobody, and I mean nobody, customer service, sales rep, anyone, has answers. When you call, someone from any store across Canada picks up. I ask questions to customer care: Where is my delivery that I expected tomorrow? Its on backorder. What happened to all of the appliances I had available and ready to delivery tomorrow? They weren't on backorder when I booked delivery, everything was in stock and available for delivery, so why did you give my appliances away? I can't answer that. When is my next delivery date? AVOID AT ALL COSTS. "Canadian Appliance Source will lie to your face," is what a very reliable supplier told us--unfortunately, after we had already parted with our money. It took CAS six months to figure out that our fridge was discontinued. When it came to having our stove delivered, we had to make no less than 25 calls to determine whether or not it was actually coming and which parts were actually included on the order. Several people we encountered were rude, none of them had the same information, and almost all of them told us that it was impossible to tell us when we could expect delivery on a $7,000 range. All efforts to speak with management were completely rebuffed, and we eventually couldn't even get in touch with our sales rep. On the day we were told the stove would absolutely not be delivered, we got a text while out saying that it would be there in under 10 minutes. Thankfully, we were close to home. But then when we arrived, the delivery team refused to bring the stove into the house and instead wanted to dump it outside. I am shocked that Blue Star and other high-end manufacturers allow CAS to distribute their products. Just a nightmare, wall to wall. There are plenty of other options out there; I highly recommend using one of them instead.

When called Leon's I was told it would take 2-3 months to get this exact same Whirlpool dishwasher model. I easily picked it up at the Bayers Lake location.... took it home and installed without any issues. So CAS seems to focus on selling appliances, and they generally offer about the most competitive price, at least for us in the greater Ottawa region. Their consultants were quite helpful in helping us decide which fridge to get. I ordered one from GE, which they told me would take 6-8 weeks (!) but which in fact was delivered in less than a week. The delivery team were really excellent, very polite and helpful. It was January, they could barely turn their truck around, and they had to slide the fridge down my snowy driveway... but they knew what they were doing, and it's now safely in our kitchen and making ice. I won't say I'll always buy from CAS, but I'll always check their prices, and I'm happy with their service, so would not hesitate to buy from them.

Worst retail experience I've had in a very long time. Avoid at all costs. If you need more proof check their BBB reviews. I went to purchase a washing machine from Canadian Appliance Source and was told that it was in stock and that i could pick the item up two days later, and that I would receive an email the next day with a set pick up time. I paid a 45% deposit and left the store. The next day I don't get the email from my sales rep Mohammad E, so i follow up by phone and I am told he is unavailable and will call back. I don't get a call back. I call again the next day and send an email, still no call back. I then call the customer care line and i am told that i was misled by my rep and that you are not able to pick up large appliances from this store as the store is too small and they don't have a warehouse. The only reason i purchased the appliance from C.A.S was because i could pick it up and I needed it right away, and didn't want to wait two weeks for delivery and pay 150$ more. So i say fine, cancel the order and ill order somewhere else. So then they tell me that I will be charged a 25% restocking fee for returning an item that was never even available to be picked up! None of this was mentioned to me prior to buying the item besides it being in size 8 font hidden on the bottom of my receipt. And to make matters worse, to cancel the only way i could do this was to send an email to a separate cancellation department. In the end i was given a full refund (refunded within 7-10 days) so they get one star for that, but overall it was not a good experience. I ended up re-ordering the appliance from Best-buy last night and paying extra for shipping, but I already have a confirmation email for a delivery day 4 days from now. I cant imagine this store will be around for much longer if they continue to do business this way.

Beware--delivery charges are not what they advertise! Last spring I purchased a range from CAS and it was a great experience. In the fall I ordered a freezer which was back ordered--not CAS's fault. The item is now in stock but the delivery charge I was quoted online was 109.95. In order to have my item delivered they now want to charge me $625.00. Their excuse is the trucking company they used to use is no longer in business. So I am on the hook for their inability to procure a reasonably priced delivery company and their inability to honour their website promises.

Unprofessional Delivery Service. I mostly blame Ovation Logistics delivery company for not sending enough man power to move heavy appliances. Uves at CAS was very professional and knowledgeable. He understood that I had done my purchase homework prior to arriving to the store since he had seen me and greeted me in the day prior. He knew that I was buying a high end appliance and respected my attention to detail and knowledge as well so he did not look to sway me or steer me in another direction. Due to Covid I was told if I ordered my appliances in July for a November delivery I would be guaranteed delivery. The staff was very nice and friendly when they took my order and money. November came around and my Appliances were due to be delivered when I was told my oven was on back order. I discovered that there were two in Laval Que. but they were for other people. Those people however ordered after me. After multiple phone calls that were not returned Gary my sales person finaly told me there was nothing he could do and I would just have to wait. It was only me threatening to take them to small claims court and/or standing outside there store and tell people arriving my story that changed things so my oven got delivered. I will never order anything from this company again and would recommend against anyone ordering from them as well.

I recently ordered a refrigerator, range and OTR microwave. I was told the fridge was in stock in Halifax and the other two items would take 2-3 weeks. I agreed to take delivery of the fridge right away. Delivery date was initially Nov. 20th, then 27th, then told I would receive it the 24th. Received a call on the 23rd and was rescheduled for the 26th, then another call for the 27th. Last night I got a voicemail message AND an email telling me my delivery was scheduled now for the 26th (today) between noon and 4 pm. At 2:06 I received a call telling me that delivery is now rescheduled for December 2nd because my item hasn’t arrived in Halifax yet and is still in Laval. I was told this item was in Halifax at time of order. Meanwhile I had a buyer for my current fridge and it was to be picked up today. I had everything out of my fridge, fridge cleaned waiting for pickup. After rescheduling several times with buyer who was once again planning to come today, i had to cancel him from taking my fridge until new one arrives. He got fed up and is going to look elsewhere (can’t say I blame him). So just put everything back in the fridge. I am so frustrated I feel like cancelling the entire order. I read the reviews on here before ordering and felt I was making a good choice. Why can’t you just be up front and if item is not in stock, say so. If you schedule a delivery, make sure item is physically here first.

CAS sold me a dishwasher that arrived wet which Bosch confirms is not their practice, it’s levelling tools is broken, the top spray arm is maladjusted and the drying feature does not work. They’ve obviously sold me a product that was previously returned and defective. You cannot request a return any other way but online and they state on their return page their decision will be final. They’ve declined my refund request because the unit was installed and used. Well how else would I have known it didn’t work?????? If I wanted a third rate used product I could have found one for 1/4 the cost. The local store will not help. Avoid CAS at all cost!

Ordering our washer and dryer was easy, but we decided to pick up our new appliances instead of waiting for delivery. The dryer was crushed on the top corner and dented in the front, but we didn't notice until we got it home and unpacked. They authorized an exchange but it took 2 weeks to get another one in. They refused to pick up the damaged appliance and deliver the new one, so we had to do it ourselves. We didn't mind doing it once, but they could have offered removal and delivery since they sold us damaged goods.

This is the 2nd major Appliance that we have purchased through Gaurav Sharma at CAS in the Bayers Lake Park. Gaurav has provided efficient, knowledgeable professional service on both occasions. Their new Halifax Store is modern with a good range of Brands and Models on display. We would certainly recommend Gaurav and CAS to family and friends in the market for household appliances. Our rating would have been 5 Stars but there is a production delay on the manufacturer’s end that’s resulting in a delay in us actually being able to acquire and install the appliance we have purchased.

And when the appliance was finally ready the delivery team threatened to dump our brand new stove on the lawn. Buyer beware!

DO NOT BUY FROM THAT STORE, ZERO customer service Or No service at all" I purchased Appliances from Canadian Appliance Source and agreed to deliver at the beginning of April. 3 days before delivery I received an email that one of the appliances "Stove" is not in stock?!!!!!! I replied to the email and until today I did not receive anything, I went to the store and that was the worst service treatment ever I have received. I asked to meet with the store manager " Paul " and I do not know how would by any means that man at the customer service department. He showed no care at all and with careless attitude, he was telling me " you have 3 options 1)refund your money, 2) choose an old model, or 3) wait for it which estimated 3 weeks from now" When I told him that the 3 options are not acceptable, refund my money means paying the same model from the different store with 300 $ more " because the sale in the other stores was over", choose the older model " why would I do that?" or wait which is might be in3 weeks?? So, He started to not looking at me while he is speaking and not answering myself asking questions, I left, and after thinking I thought to return back and calculate how much would I be refunded because I purchased protection as well, he literally was going to throw me out of the store with my wife and the kids " my wife accompanied me " and he said" have a nice day" stopped talking and looking and said leave the store I cannot do anything for you, call the call center, after an argument, he canceled the order and throw a paper in front of our faces. I contacted the call center " which is the first time to find a message telling you that the customer service is not available to leave a message" Until now I did not receive my refund. " DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THAT STORE"

I’m giving a 1 star rating only because that’s the lowest I can. This place is a joke! My daughter, who is 38 weeks pregnant, and myself went into the Halifax store last week to purchase a washing machine. We walked around the store for about 30 mins and not 1 of the 3 people working came to speak to us. So we went up to one, Mohammad, and inquired about a washer my daughter was looking for. He said they didn’t have that one in stock but would have it in a weeks time. He said that orders leave the warehouse on Sundays and arrive at the store Thursday’s. We put down a deposit of 45% and purchased the 5 year warranty. The washer was to be in store for pick up today so my daughter called the store this morning to make sure it had arrived and was told yes. She made arrangements for a truck and helpers to pick it up. They arrive at the store and paid the balance owing then the guy working went out back to get the washer. He came back about 15mins later and apologized saying the washer wasn’t there that it must have just missed getting on the truck from warehouse. We explained that Mohammad told us that the truck leaves the warehouse with orders on Sunday and since we were there at the beginning of the week that order would be put in and leave warehouse Sunday and arrive in Halifax on the following Thursday. The guy said again I apologize it must have somehow got missed. So my daughter said ok then just give me a refund because I need a washer as I can go into labor at anytime. The guy said I can’t do that you have to call head office. She said I paid by debit not credit card so why can you not refund and he proceeded to show that when he put in for refund it asked for supervisor code. So we said ok where’s the supervisor and were told they wouldn’t be in until Monday. So then my daughter said ok I really need a washer so can you at least give me a discount on one that you have in stock even if I have to pay a little more than the original amount. The guy said I can’t do that because Mohammad isn’t in until Saturday and since he was the one that had sold you the washer that only he could give a discount. This is completely unacceptable that we had to walk out of the store with no washer and no refund. We had to go to another store to purchase a washing machine. I think that the Head office better look at whom they have working at the Halifax store as they obviously don’t know what they’re doing. Needless to say there will be a call placed to head office tomorrow morning and I expect a full refund including the warranty purchased!!! This store will NEVER receive any of my, my family’s, friends and coworkers business!!! Good luck with your stores success!!!!

We live in Ontario and purchased a freezer by telephone from Nishant Gopiwala who works in the Halifax store in early October. We knew the freezer was on b/o and were expecting it in mid November. Nishant advised us there was a delay from the manufacturer (out of his control) and the freezer was delivered Dec 1st. The delivery guys (Myron Pinto in Ontario) were excellent, cautious, respectful and polite. We're very pleased and based on our great experience, I've noted Nishant's extension and would purchase from him again.

Borderline fraudulent. I order a range hood that was on sale for $61 final total was around 72 with tax. I double checked everything as I always do and clicked checkout only to see they charged me over $330! It makes no sense what so ever. I will not trust this supplier again I thought the price was too good to be true. Shame

He was the utmost of Professional, courteous, friendly and offered the best deal possible without a lot of time-wasting negotiation. He also held the offer for a few days while we made a decision. Purchased a dishwasher from them in July 2021 and now in November 2021 it has completely stopped working. Warranty repair requires backordered parts that would be at least 7 to 8 weeks at the earliest through Whirlpool. Spoke to 3 different people on their customer service line and they all said the different things, all of which I recorded in order to compare. First guy says all they need is a report from the technician that assessed the dishwasher and they can replace it in a couple of days! I thought "great! This is a good process". When I called back the second time to determine where this "report" is supposed to be sent I'm told that they don't accept reports from the technicians, it has to come from Whirlpool. So I thought I better call a third time just in case I get a different answer. I was not disappointed. Third person says that the report has to be sent to Whirlpool who will determine IF I am worthy or being issued a replacement or I will simply have to wait the minimum of 2 months to get the parts to see if they will or will not fix the dishwasher. Then, Whirlpool will decide if I should get a replacement. Meanwhile, CAS has the same dishwasher in stock but won't replace it. It's like this appliance dealership just absolves itself of all responsibility and don't care one way or another the endless waiting hell we have to endure just to get an appliance that works the way it was intended when we paid them hundred of dollars to purchase it from CAS. If this was Home Depot, the appliance would be replaced immediately. Save yourself the hassle, buy your appliances somewhere else where customer service actually means something.

Scott was very knowledgeable about the ranges we were interested in and did not pressure us into making a decision. Prices were very competitive, if not better than other places we looked prior to going to CAS. Floor was damaged when appliances were moved in 5 months ago. I have followed up multiple times but nothing has happened. I did not sign the courier slip saying everything arrived without damage. Apparently there had been a ticket opened with the customer service department.
