I was really happy with the deep clean that was done by Hellamaid. I am selling my home and really needed it to look sparking clean for the staging and showing. That is exactly what I got. and at a very reasonable price. The cleaners were friendly and very competent. The team of two cleaners came very promptly at our house and brought all their equipment. I quickly showed them around and I saw a good team spirit between the two cleaners, each quickly divying up tasks. They were also both friendly folks. They arrived at 11am and they were done at 2 for a two bed/2 bathroom house with a deep clean package. I'm allergic to dust mites, so I am very picky when it comes to cleaning all the nooks and crannies. I was blown way out of the water. Our house is cleaner than when we moved in. It smelled great. My allergies are not bothering me. I can see my reflection in our kitchen floor. Completely recommend.

What a nightmare! We ordered a "deep clean" for $298.00. The clean we received would hardly classify as a surface clean. We spent hours preparing the house to make sure it was possible for them to reach all of the spaces. Some of the many items that remained uncleaned were: sinks, faucets, floor corners, behind furniture, etc. We paid extra for windows to be cleaned. Dust and dirt remained on the bottom edges. (it just wasn't cleaned in those areas) I tried to reach out to the company after the clean. I had to reach out three times across the span of three days before the owner of the company, "Miz", got back to me. She did not listen to me and was very argumentative. She kept insisting that we should have mentioned something to the cleaning staff before they left. Forcing me to defend my position multiple times. It was quite odd and infuriating at the same time. I had to repeat my position, that position being: what was said when the staff left is not relevant. It's the quality of the clean that is relevant. Whether my partner, who didn't have the heart to tell the staff the clean was not satisfactory does not change the fact that the clean was of poor quality. She then went on to offer us 10% off or to have someone come by for 2 hours to rectify. In regards to someone coming back I was told that they are booked this week, etc., etc. To be honest, after the call with "Miz", I lost any confidence I had remaining in her company and I didn't want to have to speak with her or any of her staff again. Miz is rude, condescending, and argumentative. Stay away!

This was by far the easiest and best experience. Online booking was a breeze without the need for a home inspection. There's a drop down menu so you can choose exactly what services you want and they offer a number of add ons I may try next time. I have a dog and 2 cats so arrangements need to be made when cleaners come and I've had problems with cleaners not showing up so the text messages reminding me of my appointment put my mind at ease. It was wonderful to come home to a nice clean house. I would highly recommend Hellamaid!

We just bought a house and the day before our move visited the house to plan our move. The house needed a major overhaul.... The walls, baseboards, window sills, carpets, countertops, everything needed a thorough clean. Hellamaid Cleaning was able to accommodate us on very short notice (less than 24 hours) and did an amazing job in under two hours. I have used other cleaning services but have never felt customer service or state of cleanliness satisfactory. I will be using Hellamaid Cleaning services in the future.

I've had Hellamaid in to clean my house twice now. The first time the was for a deep clean with A LOT of extra services added (window cleaning, steam cleaning carpets and upholstery, etc.). Lots of TLC needed. They did a fantastic job. It took a little longer than anticipated -- seven hours! --because one of the cleaners had to cancel last minute, but Tanya and Joanne worked their butts off to get the job done despite being down a person. I had them back in again yesterday to do a standard clean and keep everything looking nice. Once again, everyone was pleasant and efficient and I continue to be impressed with how thorough they are. They were able to put three people on the job this time and everything was completed within two hours. I really can't stress enough just how thorough they were. Even on a really big job when they were understaffed and pressed for time, they still had a great eye for detail and really (I felt) went above-and-beyond. I have dealt with other cleaning services in the past and I really feel like this crew (Tanya, Joanne, Mary, and Jody) are top-notch for getting all the spots that might otherwise be overlooked. They found things that had fallen down behind the microwave and into cracks and crevices in and behind furniture that I probably never would've found otherwise! Management seems to sometimes get wires a bit crossed so it's probably good to double-check and make sure everybody's on the same page regarding any special instructions or scheduling changes. But the cleaning is absolutely top-notch and everyone I've dealt with -- both cleaners and management -- has been extremely pleasant and friendly. I've been left with a good impression overall.

My house was just cleaned by Hellamaid and I have to say after reading the reviews prior to booking the service, I am deeply disappointed. The cleaners were very considerate and friendly, however the job was not done to my satisfaction. I had purchased a standard cleaning package for my 3-bedroom, 1.5 bath, 1300 sq ft home. which I had discussed with the owner prior to cleaning. The regular package was described as differing from the Deep Cleaning option because it did not include baseboards cleaning. As the Deep Clean would have added $100 to the $200 I was already paying for the standard, I took a miss. Hellamaid's policy states that any excessive clutter that cleaning staff need to move around will incur an additional cost (which is fair), so we ensured to clear the kids' toys off the floor and make the spaces as accessible as possible. The quote suggested it would take 6 hours for the two staff they were sending. They were finished and out the door in less than 2 hours. Upon their arrival (which was punctual), I'd expressed my main concerns were the bathrooms and floors (which needed mopping) and dusting for my small work desk. I made a quick inspection following the cleaning job and was surprised to find a ring around the tub, spotty faucets in the bathroom, fluff balls under the chaise longue, and the kitchen floor still had visible dirt and spots (I have a one-year-old who throws most of his food on the floor). While the staff were very pleasant and friendly and did a wonderful job vacuuming our entrance way area carpets, this cleaning job did not compare to a similarly priced service we got a year ago with a competitor (Tidy Team, alas, now out of business).

I had booked a move in cleaning service with multiple add ons which total over $700 and a carpet cleaning service which totaled over $200. First and foremost, the carpet cleaning service was a bait and switch. I was told on the phone when I was asking for a quote and to book that the carpet cleaning was a proper steam cleaning. This is the exact quote I was told on the phone, "it is not a Home Depot rental carpet cleaning machine. The machine is a van sized unit". So to my surprise, on the day of my carpet cleaning service, a guy in a sedan pulled up to my house and brought out the carpet machine from the trunk. The exact carpet cleaner can be bought from Canadian Tire for $600. In addition, the cleaner decided to empty the dirty unsanitary water in the bathtub. The day after we complained about the dirty water, they did offer to clean it again. After they cleaned the tub again, there was still bits of dirt laying around at which point I saw no value in the company’s offer and zero confidence in them to reclean anything that we were unsatisfied with. For the move in cleaning service, the cleaners did not thoroughly clean everything. Some of the cabinets and areas around the house were still dirty. The carpets that they had vacuumed were not clean either. I vacuumed the 2nd floor again after they had left and found considerable amount of dust (had to empty my vacuum twice). The cleaners did not clean some of the shelves down in the basement even though we paid extra to have the basement cleaned. We had to spend extra time to properly wipe and clean the shelves ourselves. In addition, the drywall was damaged during the cleaning service and the cleaners did not acknowledge it when asked. The mistake was only admitted by the manager when we reached out and showed proof that the drywall was not damaged prior to the cleaning service. Please stay away from this company. They do not deliver the services as described.

Wow! This service was absolutely wonderful! : ) I was gifted a certificate for a clean with Hella Maid and it came at the perfect time - right before the Holidays! I set up the appointment for the day before my Christmas party and Amy and Deborah came in while I was at work. They arrived on time, had no problems finding my unit and gave it a dang good cleaning. I signed up for the Standard clean and had relatively low expectations of what I would receive (Just because my apartment is very... let's say... lived in? AKA cluttered with lots of items) But these two went above and beyond to ensure every surface was a sparklin' I had basically nothing to do to prepare for my party and their work even made clean up the next day a breeze. I would send a picture but hosting Christmas has kind of defeated their work lol but once I put a little effort in I hope I can restore it back to their state of clean! (I'm still finding surfaces that I wouldn't have thought to clean that they managed to make dust-free and squeaky clean. THANK YOU!!!

I am 9 months pregnant and we decided to invest in the deep clean package to ensure our house had a nice deep cleaning done prior to babys arrival. This is the first time we hired Hellamaid and did so based on the reviews online. The cleaning team was punctual and extremely friendly. The first cleaner to arrive asked to do a walk through of the areas being cleaned which was a little confusing to me because the breakdown of the deep clean checklist is pretty clear but I walked her around and showed her the main floor and basement areas that required cleaning. The cleaning team was scheduled for a minimum of 4 hours but finished up in just around 2 hours - which seemed great until I did a thorough walk through after the team left. Our house was extremely tidy (which is a requirement prior to the cleaning team showing up) but because of this I feel like the team overlooked a lot of areas. None of the faucets on the first floor were properly cleaned. The kitchen sink and faucet were missed entirely (which unfortunately needed the most attention). Behind the doors in the bedrooms weren’t vacuumed where accumulated dust was hiding. Not a lot of effort or attention to detail was done in regards to dusting as in - behind the TV was still dusty and you could see where they dusted around the base of the TV. The book shelf was also missed. The basement, which is an additional service/fee, still had spiderwebs in easy to reach corners (near the baseboards) and the baseboards didn’t look cleaned/dust. Most of the attention seemed to be focused on the laundry room which looked spectacular but again - the sink faucet was not clean and was still dusty. They suggest a deep clean if the house hasn’t been thoroughly cleaned in 2 months so.. yea things needed a good cleaning which didn’t happen. It felt more like a weekly cleaning service than a deep clean. I had to go around with a handheld vacuum and tidy up all the rooms and basement and clean all the faucets myself. Even when I wiped down the kitchen counter later in the day, the cloth was dirty. Which defeats the purpose of the service and what I was trying to avoid being so pregnant. A survey was sent out the following day which I promptly filled out. I was contacted within a few hours of the survey being completed and a 15% discount was automatically applied. While I appreciate the prompt response and action, I think an actual conversation should’ve been warranted. Either way, you could tell the cleaning team worked hard, so I think this can be chalked up to an inexperienced team being assigned to the cleaning where attention to detail will come with time.

I booked a deep clean and was very disappointed. There is no way I received a deep clean. The floors were left with some white powdery film and I needed to rewash the floors. The stove was not rinsed. The faucets were not cleaned well. There was dust left behind in numerous places. The amount I paid for this service did reflect what I received. I have a regular clean booked for this week, as I am willing to give them one more try. If it’s no better I will be cancelling all future bookings. UPDATE: the 2nd visit was much, much better than the first!! Victoria did an amazing job!! My hardwood floors looked amazing!! Very pleased with this clean. I will use them again.

Booked this company in advance for a specific time and date before the long weekend (because I was coming from out of town) only to be informed last minute that they had to change the time. Time change was sent in a standard confirmation email with no indication of a time change. No phone call, nothing. Not impressed with this type of treatment. Not a dependable company!

I have booked an appointement for deep cleaning and when I went all pace just vinegar sprayed. Nothing was clean. Not web, not fridge, not bathroom counter, not window glasses, Half of the stuff I have discussed and they agreed over call denied when they come to perform the service The remaining stuff they just did sloppy job, Microwave was dirty from.inaide, outside and underneath, around fridge so many hair( previous owner dog hair) and all over vinegars smell. I used your deep clean services for the first time today. I wanted to share some feedback as I was very underwhelmed by the service. For context, I have 2000 + sq ft home 4 bedrooms, 2 baths. One cleaner arrived at 2 and the other 2 arrive between 2:30&3. At 3:30 the one cleaner asked me to give final approval of the clean ... I started upstairs, there was still dog hair all over the floor and when I asked if she vacuumed before mopping she replied ‘ ya but my vacuum is broken so I didn’t get everything’. The other cleaner offered to do it again with her vacuum. The baseboard hadn’t been wiped down, the door frames hadn’t been wiped. I had to go through the checklist and ask them to redo the majority of the upstairs. Then I came downstairs, and had to do the same things- in the kitchen they just wiped around thing not a detailed deep clean. Similarly the door frames, windows sills, baseboards had not been wiped down. In the living room and dinning room they had not cleaned under the furniture. I had to follow them around with the checklist to ensure the items included in the deep clean were done. The worker had an argument among themselves as one wanted to leave at 3:30 and the other was saying “no we have to clean until at least 5 and make sure the customer is happy’. In the end they did stay until 5 but I have to direct the tasks as they weren’t able to self identify what needed to be done. And even with doing that, the clean was not satisfactory. For a fee of 400+ dollars I am very disappointed, the result was not worth the cost. I was hopeful to be a repeat customer, but unfortunately based on this experience I will not be. I wanted to share my experience as it was polar opposite to what I read in other reviews.

There are very few cleaning services out there where the owner will check in afterwards and actually get down to clean cabinets under a kitchen sink. We hired Hellamaid for their “move in/out” package when we were moving out of our rental after having purchased a house. It was our first time using a cleaning service and were very happy with the job. We were out of town and there was no problem with them getting in via the electronic deadbolt as per our instructions. Only gripe was a small few spots on the kitchen floor could have used a bit more attention, but unless you knew they were there (they sort of blend in with the pattern on the floor) you’d never know to focus on that area. No harm no foul and overall we’d highly recommend Hellamaid to anyone in Guelph. Am curious to see the kind of clean you’d get for their less expensive packages.... having them come in sure beats having to do it yourself!

This is our first time use Hellamaid cleaning service and we are very happy about the result. I am a landlord in a student condo rental business. the elevator was broken down on the last day of the month and they have to lift the heavy stuffs to the top floor via stairs. No problem, they just make it happen! after they get job done, the result is day and night. the toilet finally return to the original tile color. the oven and fridge looks like new. I have no problem to recommend their service to any of my friends.

He also followed up by phone and email to ensure that everything was arranged so that my parents would not be inconvenienced.
