It is with a heavy heart I write this poor review, but after receiving my husband's suit pants with 2 identical tears by the back pockets (and they got dropped off without any damage done to them) I did what anyone in my situation would do and went back to bring it to their attention. The lady in charge belittled me and was extremely rude; constantly repeating how it is in no way their fault and impossible for this to happen in their facility and flat out refused to give any sort of refund or to help solve this problem in any way. I stood there in disbelief as I could not believe what I was hearing, and she had the audacity to say "You're looking at me like I'm crazy." And proceeded to tell me another 3 times how it is not their fault and there is no way it could be, and they were most definitely dropped off with tears in the pockets as it was from wear and tear.. I replied that she could possibly be right from the wear and tear, but I'm not stupid they weren't dropped off like that and she doesn't need to repeat herself over and over again. She STILL continued to repeat herself and say how it is no way their fault and there is no way they would ever give a refund and it wasn't until I burst into tears from being treated so terrible, that she finally said they could "try" and fix them but she guarantees it would look terrible. I replied and said you are clearly too busy and don't want to take the time to help out and she then rolled up the pants and handed them back without the hangar I brought in with me. My husband stopped into the store shortly after to talk to the owners (not wanting any sort of reimbursement JUST to say this is not professional to berate a customer to the point of tears) as he knows them personally and either the old owners sold the store or the manager was pretending to be the owner, but he had the same story and absolutely flat out refused to take any responsibility for their actions and behavior/word choice. I am not a difficult customer to deal with and all I can say is this lady could've been 100% right in this situation, but there are a million ways to explain it to a customer who has been giving your company business for the last 5 years instead of being extremely disrespectful and refusing to keep a professional behavior. We will certainly miss the old owners as they were amazing to deal with, but the new management is dispicable. There are signs around the store stating they value their customers and to have a good clientele relationship, but clearly choose not to follow this. It is with a heavy heart that we will no longer be choosing Richmond Dry Cleaners to give our business to as I refuse to be treated like this again.
