REVIEWS OF Fort St John Maytag Coin Laundry IN Fort Saint John

Adam Keele

These are some awful hours. This may spur me to open my own here, and give this monopoly a run and give FSJ a better option.

Claire K

Lady at the desk was SO rude, told us to shake off our clothes outside and said it would be $40 to do a single load of laundry with the drop off service. REALLY awful laundromat. Somebody please open another one so we don’t have to come back.

Jolene

Domjal

Clean, well kept and managed establishment with modern equipment, parking and refreshments but very expensive.

Anthony Burke

Very clean and tidy. Washing machines work great as well with dryers. Can handle ALOT of clothing. You can wash your rig coveralls in separate washers. Staff are helpful but you can tell they don't like working there.

Elize Joubert

Darlene M

Bring lots of coins, $11.75 for one small load. The place is clean lots of machines but super expensive.

DanielB. “Lorta”

This laundromat is nice and clean but very expensive. 15-20 $ for small load to wash and dry is ridiculous .

Michael Sawyer

Terrible hours. Rudely told laundry cutoff is 4:30pm. Laundry mat with those hours?

Linda Marr

Super expensive! Owners make you take your shoes off at the door so you don't muddy their floors...very clean establishment. I'd rather pay less to do my laundry and keep my shoes on!

Jane LeBlanc

Prices are outrageous...most unfriendly staff I have ever seen...dryers don't get hot! Better of hand washing your stuff.

Chris Crash

Wow, expensive... Probably the most expensive in the province. The woman are terrible to deal with and they can't do math at all. The Dryers don't work and will cost you even more money then the wash.

Lance Strangward

After phoning for hours of operation I was left wondering how they stay open? 9am to 6pm? Are they owned by a bank? How does that work for any of the HUNDREDS of construction and oil patch workers in the area?

Short lines and the rides here are at a good price point I find how they fill with water to be rather displeasing tho. Nearly drowned you folks really should have some safety precautions other then that, not a bad place to spend a Sunday with the family.

Dustin Hill

I absolutely love this place. Yes it is expensive, but the machines are great with large tables for folding. Also seems to have dry cleaning services?

Wayne Soles

Only gave it a star because it was clean way to expensive like out of hand expensive

Jeanne C.

The place is very clean, they keep the floor swept and mopped. Which can be a challenge get with a muddy parking lot. Bathroom was very clean also. The attendant is very helpful. They do offer drop off service. Whish you can tell is a busy service, since the oil fields are close and all the drop off washers were running the entire 2 plus hours I was there. The issue is the cost of using this place. You can tell they are the only gig in town based on price per load. I washed 2 loads of clothes and the wash cost me $10 & then to dry both loads cost me $14. Even when you pick high heat the dryer never gets hot. They have the temp turned down which makes it take an hour to get one load dry. My suggestion is skip this place and wash in Dawson Creek.

Taylor Bruton

Only giving two stars because of how clean the place is. I washed 3 loads of laundry. It cost me $39. Absolutely ridiculous to think a min wage worker needs to work 3+ hours to wash 3 loads. Will not be returning here again.

Beth Hurst

All in context - so i read through other reviews for this place before I went but as it's the only laundromat in town, I kinda had no choice. Yes, on the outside it seems expensive and yes, being asked to take your shoes off at the door seems a little odd but lets just look at it in perspective. The extra large washers are $10 per wash HOWEVER the take 4 loads at once. I got all my washing into one machine. Now if I had used her smaller machines at $3.50 a load then I would have spent $14.00. The large driers take a lot of washing but I think it dries quicker and therefore more economical to spread it over 2 driers. The place was spotless. Tables and chairs. Snacks. TV/Radio. The only thing this place is missing is some WIFI. The staff although very helpful when asked for something, we extremely miserable. Tip - take your slippers!

Ashley B Cardin

It may be clean but there is no wifi for patrons to use. I was hoping to do extra school work while waiting. With no competition they hold a monopoly and can get away with it. At the prices they charge I would think that wifi is the least they can offer their customers.

Machines work well, although for the cost they should. I've been doing my husbands coveralls for 6 months once a week. $10/load washing only no drying to do them myself seems steep but there is nobody else in town so they can charge what they await. I've been in once a week for 6 months and the women who work there are SUPER unpleasant. Like no please, thank you, have a good day nothing. They should get a different job since they appear to hate working there. I have tried to be nice in hopes they would warm up, but their attitudes suck.

George Fruean

WAY TOO EXPENSIVE

Jean clinton

$10 to wash $5 to dry 3 loads fits in one washer machine.

Tyler Morrison

I will say this is not a great place to go, however, I get that this is the only one. We had 4 loads to do and the ladies kept giving us a look for some reason. It is well over priced and the dryers are not even hot. I looked up the temperatures for the may tag Commercial dryers and they say it should be 125-135 F.on hot settings. There is no way they were that hot maybe 85-90 F ( I know we are in Celsius) One lady actually accused my wife of giving her to much money because she was short in her till which was not true she did apologize for her mistake. After a conversation about some pests that we have heard about they kept giving us a look and proceeded to bleach the 3 washers we used as if we were dirty while we were there. Shame on you for your childish behaviour. This place is a joke and we need another laundromat in town.

They insist you remove all footwear like it's a genkan. Never going to happen!

Crystal Ladouceur

awesome laundromat, very clean, all the machines are well taken care of. will definetly come back if I'm in the area

Abraham Kelly

I FIND THE PLACE CLEAN & MACHINES WASH WELL , THE PRICES ARE A BIT HIGH BUT YOU CAN DO A DOUBLE LOAD IN ONE WASHER FOR 10.DOLLARS ! MY ONLY DOWNFALL OF THIS FINE ESTABLISHMENT IS THAT THEY CLOSE WAY TOO EARLY ! IM A WORKING MAN 10 & 12 HOUR SHIFTS & THERE LAST WASH LOAD IS AT 4:30 & THEY CLOSE AT 6 !! C'MON MANY WORKING PEOPLE ARE OFF AFTER 4:30 & I MENTIONED ABOUT THEM POSSIBLY OPENING LATER & I WAS TOLD THAT THEY WOULD SEE IF IT GOT BUSIER THEY WOULD SEE & I REPLIED THAT IF THEY WOULD OPEN LATER THAT THERE WOULD BE BUSY AS I KNOW MANY OF MY OWN COWORKERS THAT WOULD COME THERE ?? JUST A THOUGHT !!!

Darryn Kelly

Kristie Carlick

Harry Heyduck

Lousy customer service!

Michael Whiteaker

Pathetic. Went twice this am an could not get any service

Duane Lloyd

Scott Edgar

$10 for a small load of laundry, are you kidding me? That doesn't even include the drier.

Denise Wetzel

This is FSJ. Closing at 6pm is really ridiculous. Most of the people who have a need for a laundromat get off work after it’s closed ????

Colin Dinwoodie

It permanently closed.

Jon Downes

They’re boarded up and out of business!

Agoogle User

Clean, well run outfit with good equipment but very expensive.
