He is always on top of things, remembers you and makes you feel like you've been there 1,000 times over a 15 year period even if it's your first time. Joe is knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and will always make sure you're taken care of. The tailoring work is the best I have ever seen. The dry cleaning services have never caused any harm to my clothes, unlike other dry cleaners in the area that i used.

Just recently moved to NY and needed a bridesmaid dress altered. I was able to get fitted immediately and felt very comfortable with the man that was working there. He was very friendly and polite. You could tell he knew the value of customer service. They did a great job and were able to complete it within 5 days. The price was also very reasonable. He also removed a broach for me last minute without charging. I also liked the fact that they will press it for you for free before the wedding. Overall they were very impressive and I will be returning next month with another bridesmaid dress...

This place and its owner Joe are amazing. I've been there a few times before and they always do a great job. But today I showed up at about 5:45 PM and they close at 6. I really needed it as soon as I could get it because I'm leaving town tomorrow. I asked if maybe I could get it tomorrow morning, but Joe stopped what he was doing, went in the back, and I walked out of there with a perfect job done this very afternoon. I cannot even begin to express how happy I am with the quality of work and the customer service. The suit and shirt I had tailored came out perfectly. Joe even understood how I didn't want an old man's wide leg and gave me the skinny leg fit I was looking for. The fitting went so quickly because I was so comfortable there. I also noticed that he had taken the time to remember each and every customers name. He even pronounced mine correctly when I went back to pick my suit up which was done before my scheduled date. I've already sent one of my friends who needed work done too him and just as everyone I asked referred me here so would I also refer anyone that asks. I did read a few bad reviews on here which made me skeptical at first. But that had to have been a while ago or someone else because based on my experience those reviews were false or either isolated incidents and I don't plan on letting anyone else but Joe at Chayban's tailor my clothes for a long time. I took it to them and allowed me to pick it VERY early the next morning (the day of the wedding) and they did it perfectly! I was disappointed to find one pair of my pants with uneven, messy stitching on the hemline, another with two different length legs and noticeable stitching where there shouldn't be any, and a third with thread sticking out the end of the leg! (It appears that if I cut this off the whole hem is going to start unraveling) To be fair, the last pair was fine. I was especially displeased that one of my pants was misplaced due to a lost tag, and the whole order was not ready until several days after it was supposed to be, and no one called as they said they would. FYI: This Elmwood shop sends out alterations to a different location.

Just picked up my bridesmaid’s dress from Chayban’s. Very fast! They called me three days after I dropped it off to let me know it was ready. Fits perfectly and was very reasonably priced. Staff is friendly and accommodating. They even gave me back the extra fabric in case the bride and groom want to use it for any decorations or bouquets, so considerate. I definitely will be back with future alterations!

Just go here to get your suits tailored.. Thats it. I tried to get my 100% polyester curtains shortened, the guy said 20 bucks per panel, and it'd take 2-3 weeks. I asked why so expensive and why so long for the wait time. The answer was that it was "labor intensive." I'm not a dumb guy man, it's a simple cut with sewing down the line. I did stuff like this before. Just tell me you guys don't do that stuff.. Or that you guys don't want to do it. Then he called me out.. "you think you can do it better? Go ahead and save yourself the money" of course I can! And I did. I found a guy on Craigslist, did each panel for 10 bucks, and I got it the next day. If you guys could do affordable services for non suit apparel, I'd be happy to visit more often for side projects and even recommend you guys.. But im sorry.. I have no suits for you guys to tailor. Even though I got nothing done, I'm pretty sure the quality would have been excellent.. But not worth the price.. It just added more burden on me.

I brought my hood in with a new fur attachment I purchased offline and they made it look like new! The execution and end product looks so good. I recommend them to everyone I know.
