Prices are competitive and the business model is pretty cool. Drop your cleaning off in a locker (lockers are located throughout downtown, plus in many condo buildings), use the app to let them know the locker you placed your stuff in, and within a few hours you get a text message telling you your stuff has been picked up, plus pictures of what they will be cleaning, and an estimated delivery date. When your stuff is ready (within 48 hours), you get a text message telling you the locker number, and you pick up your cleaning where you dropped it off. Fast, convenient and cost-competitive. Here's the kicker- the customer service is ridiculously amazing. I missed a cutoff day to have something back within 48 hours and messaged Alfred for help. Within 20 minutes someone had messaged me back. And within a half hour I was told that someone would personally drop off my items at the locker that evening. I've never had a company go above and beyond like they did- and for that reason alone you should try out Alfred. I know they'll be my primary dry-cleaning service going forward because of it.

Five stars for concept and convenience, four for cleaning quality. Nothing has ever been ruined, but things don’t seem as clean or nice smelling as dry cleaned goods I’ve had cleaned elsewhere.

Brought my two shirts to get them nice and clean he gave receipt thats says its gonna be ready on 24th 2020 at 4:30 pm , I came to pick it up but they were closed. Very disappointed very upset very mad. One star for you guys will never come back

Very disappointed in their service. Had multiple items for dry cleaning and two shoe repairs. Dry cleaning did not get stains out which means they didn't do any QA checks on it. If the stain was too hard to remove, at least leave me a note saying that. The two shoe orders were complete failures. We were told that prior to making any changes, they would contact us to get approval. No communication whatsoever. They just let the order sit there for 2 weeks and one day, they were suddenly "completed". What's worse is that what was requested wasn't even done properly. Request: Replace the sole of shoe with rubber What was done: replace 1cm of the heel with rubber Request: replace the insole of the shoe because it was broken and stitch up the side What was done: stitched up the side and didn't even touch the insole Although the service may be convenient, I would rather go to a storefront where you can actually communicate with someone. What's even more sad was that the first time using this in our building, there was actually a person taking the order and writing everything down. Edit: Reply from "Director of Operations" an hour after posting of this review. It's rather explicit in the review what was wrong with the service. This type of "customer service" is just offensive. Hi Ronson, I just saw the review you left for Alfred on Google. I very sorry you had a disappointed first experience. Boo Alfred! This is my second attempt to use this service. The first was a few months back. Their instructions for opening the locker location were not apparent on their website or app and I was told that I should have found it by going through the FAQ's but how would I know to do this as a first time customer? Wouldn't it be better to outline each step of the process so that there are no surprises? Then tonight I tried again and this time their vague instructions on using the digital locker didn't work. I did hear back from them in an email explaining in a bit more about how the lockers work but by then I was home as I wasn't going leave my stuff in a locker that didn't lock. Again, too late. Why wouldn't the instructions for using the locker be clearly outlined in the locker? On to another and hopefully better laundry service...

I've been using Alfred at least once a week for over a year and they have always been excellent. Ran into an issue where all the lockers at our condo were full. I email asking what to do, within minutes I got a call and an email, they wanted to make sure my dry cleaning got done, they said they were on the way to come and pickup and to leave it at the front desk. It wasn't just a form email or a try again later, but a real solution. I really appreciate the extra effort, it makes me so happy to see service is still alive and well.

I live in a condo in Liberty Village which has the Alfred lockers. I've been using their services (mainly for laundering dress shirts) for about 2 months now and I'm a big fan. I drop my shirts off in the locker (day or night) and they're back in the locker cleaned and pressed a day or two later. Due to my work hours, I was having trouble making it to the dry cleaner to drop off/pick up, so Alfred solves that problem. The fee is about 50 cents more per shirt, which I think is well worth it.

I figured that for the convenience of being able to drop off and pick up my dry cleaning right in the laundry room of our building, that we would pay a premium. But it wasn't so! We found Alfred to actually be more affordable than the dry cleaner we used down the road previously. The order was picked up very promptly, and it was really easy to contact customer service, they responded quickly even on the weekend and after hours! I'd highly recommend it.

So convenient! Like other people I work long hours and don't need the hassle of trying to get to a dry cleaners before they close. They do a great job and although the prices are hard to find they are reasonable. I use the Wellesley location and you just need to register your credit card in the app and you can then swipe your credit card to enter the facility. It takes me 30 seconds to put my things in a locker and input the locker number into my order in the app. Love the efficiency of the whole process! I sent my husband's 2 year old Marc New York coat to Alfred. It had been dry cleaned twice before without incident, but that cleaner is closed due to COVID. The coat came back from Alfred with most of the heavy black coating missing from all of the 14 grommets/snaps on the coat. It was fine when it was sent to Alfred. Now - a coat I bought only 2 yrs ago for aprox. $400 US$ is a mess. Actually, the owner says she wants to send it somewhere and have all the 14 grommets/snaps replaced so the coat is not "trash." Nevermind there are no alteration stores open during the COVID lock down. It would never be the name coat after someone removed/replaced most of the extensive hardware on the coat. Not to mention: why did they send it back to me this way with no comment? Use at your own risk.

Bad service. First off, they say the process takes "48 hours" yet it almost took them that long just to pick up my item. Apparently they then sent my item to a "specialist" so it took even longer and I thought it would be worth it at the end so I waited.. I saw them charge me a surprising amount, about 300% more than the pricing list on their website.. so I emailed them and they told me some weird explanation which I just brushed off and agreed to, and waited a couple more days... Next thing I know I get a notification saying my item is ready. I pick it up and it doesn't seem like it was even touched. But anyway I put it in my closet and when I took it out to wear it later I noticed less than a day later when I accidentally saw a receipt in the pocket (from the so-called specialist) mentioning that the item was in fact not cleaned and that the Dry-cleaner (Alfred) had requested it to be sent back, because it required my consent for something and they hadn't even told me. So I email them asking for an explanation .. and that's when they apologize and tell me something went wrong with the operations manager or whatnot and offered me a refund then.. I got it like 3 days later.. So I basically ended up waiting over a week for nothing, I was charged initially and my item was not even touched. I wanted to wear it to a special occasion but couldn't.

Their drying quality is poor for a start. But, the most disappointing part was they lost a $145 sweater of mine, did not take ownership, claimed they were not their responsible after item leaves their facility. Confusing and extremely disappointed. I should have checked their rating prior to using services, as I can see why they were given so many 1 stars.

I have tried to call and email your customer service as to when I can get my winter jacket back. It's been over a week and I haven't heard of anything from you. No one has ever answered the customer service line. Your voice mail is apparently full and there is no room to leave a message. I emailed but there is no reply so far. As everybody in Toronto knows that it's been -10 degree in the past week in Toronto and I desperately need my winter jacket. This is the first time that I try your service and I am sorry to say it is my last time. Your sloppy service is horrible.
