Your staff chantal is so rude, I understand that there is little space on the counter, I mistakenly put my coat on the pile of thing she was ironing, then she quickly remove and gave a comment that "dont " like I didn't mean it, then i said well don't put that on the counter so no one will put thing on them, she yepping and giving side comments, when i ask her name she gave it and like being proud of her rudeness told me the manager is in every morning 7 to 3pm like, i work in a service industry but i never encountered any as rude as her. Will tell my friends not to do business with you guys you lost another customer here.

Was encouraged to leave my blankets rather than doing them myself there as the staff told me they would be basically the same price. I wasn't quoted a price when I dropped off my items, and then was charged a ridiculously high amount for 5 blankets when I picked them up. Will not return.

Been told by a worker that when I choose the hot water the $3.50 machines doesn't work good instead choose the warm. A control over customer on how to wash one lundeary!!!

I recently moved to an apartment with no washer so spent the past few months testing out the (poor selection of) laundromat options in Victoria. I've settled on Sqeaky's. The machines all work well and are clean, the staff I've met range from brusque but competent to very kind. They have WiFi and a comfortable enough sitting area and there are lots of nearby shopping and dining establishments if you want to wait elsewhere. The competition have everything from broken washers and dryers to dingy atmosphere to sketchy staff. Sqeaky's is the best of the bunch. although I still wonder why there are no 24hr laundromats in town or at least ones with late hours... Later hours here and I'd be as happy as can be.

The Laundromat staff were helpful, however the dry cleaner was absolutely awful. I split tea on a pair of work pants and a wool coat and took them to the dry cleaners as a precaution. The coat came back with the tea spot still there and no note saying they were unable to remove it. I had to bring the coat back a second time after I noticed the stain was still there and send it again to be cleaned as I was unsure if they missed it or were not able to get it out (which I doubted as it was only tea). They said they would take a look at it and I asked to be called before they charged me as I didn't want to pay again. I didn't receive a call, the coat then came back without the tea spot and with a note saying they were unable to remove the stain. They tried to charge me the second time which I argued and the laundromat owner called the dry cleaner to clarify the charge which they then dropped. The work pants came back an entire size too small and no longer fit. Terrible dry cleaners - never use them.

I love it because of the huge multiple load machines and the fact that you dont need to carry around a huge bulging pocket of quarters and loonies. You just have the attendent to run you a tab and when your done you pay your bill. Ive seen comments on here about how expensive they are....if you wash your own items its way less expensive. People dont work for nothing. The detergents cost and the electricity to dry large items. Down filled pillows take time. I would expect it to cost a small fortune to have my large items done for me. It is what it is. But i find to do my own wash and dry and all my blankets and pillows. Its the most inexpensive place in Victoria. I think its because they take good care of their machines. Its clean and inexpensive. Best laundromat in Victoria....id give em a couple extra stars if the staff were a little more friendlier and nicer

Very NEGATIVE ENERGY AS SOON AS WE WALKED IN. The two ladies working there are rude and crude. Prices are outrageous and they are very argumentative. I was just trying to get pricing and they argued with me about what size of washing machine a single bed comforter would fit in. It costs 9 dollars just to do one load of laundry. OUTRAGEOUS.

Why is the owners pet(s) running around this place? Thats against CRD regulations Im sure. Allergies anyone? Machines are EXPENSIVE compared to any other place in town and the last time I went there the price went up to 3 dollar a single load in a standard machine.. wow. While the place is kept clean the machines sometime phantom grease stain my clothes, its from the spindle bearing wearing out. Cleaning the outside is one thing but dont be afraid to do preventative maintenance.

Staff were rude, and the loads were ridiculously overpriced. Like their really expensive “premium” “triple load” couldn’t even fit half the clothes we could in our condo’s single load machine. Total ripoff.

Absolute trash! My wife dropped off a twin sized blanket and two pillows to be cleaned. When I went to pick them up, I was charged $56! This "company" is gouging people. I hope they go out of business.

When an issue occurred with the cleaning of one of my garments I reached out the the owner Frank and he made sure to understand my problem and refund me fairly while remaining calm, polite, and inviting. Mistakes are a regular part of life and it's nice to see a business owner who takes responsibility. Every other time I've used their services I've had no problems and the work was really well done. I'll continue to bring garments that need special care to Squeaky's and I'd recommend them as well.

Squeaky’s Laundromat is amazing! Staff is very friendly and helpful, place is clean, and you can keep a tab, so no having to find a cash machine. Also, it’s never crowded, which is nice. I would recommend it to everyone.

I created this account just to warn people not to go here. I am NEVER one to complain, but this truly was the most egregious service I have ever experienced. The prices are OUTRAGEOUS. The night staff is friendly, however don't expect to by treated well by the day staff. As soon as I walked in, I was told not to put a laundry basket on their tables (I had no intention of doing so) then the old lady very condescendingly told me "you wouldn't put a dirty basket on your kitchen table now would you." To which I replied "ummm" from being so taken aback from her rude tone. Again, she responded, very condescendingly, "nooo you would not." After I loaded to my laundry into the washer, the same woman put in dry powder soap (to which I am allergic) without asking me. I had brought my own soap. I left my basket there and when I came back I noticed dirt in the basket. Asked them if they had a napkin I could use, another old man who worked there told me I could use a wet rag. I went to clean it and he grabbed it from my hand, and told me I was doing it wrong. Another time, I brought in a two loads of laundry and a douvet and it cost me a total of 45$ to do. I left the bag I brought the stuff in there, when I came back it was gone. I asked the women if she had a garbage bag I could use, and even after spending 45$ at their facility, she demanded I pay for the garbage bag. I absolutely DO NOT recommend going here, especially if you're a student such as myself. I plan to drive to Scrubby's just to avoid this establishment.

Staff have been very nice and helpful. I have been going every couple days for a week or two while I fix our washer at home - no big rush when I can do a wash here while I walk the dog. One staff member noticed the washers were all full one time and helped me use one of the commercial machines for the same price. Another time I realized I walked into the store 10 minutes before start time and started to say sorry to the staff member, she said "no problem at all, have a great day!" I don't know about the staff from 5 years ago but everything seems just fine now.

The girl with brown hair and glasses manning the front is very very rude, not friendly at all. not willing to help or give you any information regarding the washers/dryers. She just sat behind the counter the entire time texting. I can not believe how unwelcoming she was when I was there! unfortunately I will not be coming back.

If you want good customer service, go elsewhere. The lady working the day shift clearly does not like her job and it shows in how she handles her customers. Short tempered and snarky would be the best descriptors for how she treated me. I had a couple of questions regarding their policies and she acted like I was an idiot for asking and a waste of her precious time. I could not have felt less welcomed and promptly left the premises and took my business to a cleaners in Oak Bay, where I was treated in the exact opposite manner -- like my business was welcome and they were genuinely kind people and enjoyed dealing with the public. I will never set foot in Squeaky's again.

This laundromat gave incredibly AWFUL customer service. There was a middle-aged woman working who was abrupt and rude. Firstly, she was curt and was slightly racist. She picked apart everything and made snide remarks. When she asked if I would only be washing items and I replied yes... she stated "I thought so." I'm not sure if she was implying I was being cheap...but what she didn't know is that my washing machine had issues earlier this week, otherwise this laundromat would be the last place I'd go to. You shouldn't be working in customer service if you want to treat people badly. We are paying for your overpriced service, the least you could do is be decent.

I have been a patron on and off at Squeaky's for approximately 30 years, my neighbourhood laundromat. As a longtime sometime customer (1-3 times a year) during this time, I have seen a tight family business transition to a new model of ownership; as the owners aged and morphed the business to another model of ownership. Obviously, I have also aged and have morphed my intermittent laundry visits into a more community focused experience of slightly more regular visits to Squeaky's along with my already very busy Oak Bay life of on-going professional work, volunteering, commitments to my adult children, friends, and regular Fairway and Cobs visits in Shelbourne Plaza and other nearby businesses I choose to support and I support Squeaky's as an important local business in the community. In the last 6 months, I have seen a commitment from the new owner and his new staff to do their best: Their commitment to customer service is strong; the facility improvements are a work in progress; the music choices are most refreshing; and the prices are fair. I do not post very often but decided to post this review because I saw the current review rating and am hoping people will remain more open to visiting Squeaky's and judge for themselves. I know negative reviews can be important and useful but time proven analytics also demonstrate that people may not always take the time to post their positive experiences. We won't be going here again. Brought in our drapes to be drycleaned - they washed them instead, pretty well ruining them and stinking of detergent to boot. The staff (owner?) was condescending, overly familiar and just plain rude. Incompetent is bad, rude is bad, rude and incompetent is fatal.

I have been going here for the better part of a month and liked it up until this past weekend . The female owner was so rude to me, she asked me in a very rude voice why do you need to wash your sheets in hot water , I told her that i liked to wash them in hot water . she then went on to tell me that i dont need hot water for sheets and the dryer sanitizes them. she also muttered about using her energy , This is not the first time she has been rude to me . I mean you pay 5.50 to wash your stuff i think that is enough to let you do what you want with it . All of the other staff is nice and friendly even her husband, she is just down right rude. i well give them the place is spotless and they do keep the machines really clean ,. head over to scrubby on Burnside rd much better prices. The staff is amazing.
