Would not recommend. We had to request for a second visit for cleaning because I felt the first visit was inadequate service. A second complementary visit was offered and fulfilled by the company. However, first impressions go a long way and the level of service during the first visit deters me from using this company in the future. For reference, the requested cleaning was for a 900 square foot space, two persons for one hour.

I have called about 10 places to look for a good cleaning services and decided to booked with Burley Cleaning. They were professional and politely explaining to me well about their services, rate and hours, didn’t rush me to book an appointment right away. The cleaners did a great job and I’m happy with it. Their rate is quiet good, at $90/hour, 2 cleaners and they bring all the supplies. I would highly recommend Burley Cleaning

Originally gave it 5 stars cause I worked there. From personal experience i now give it one star for the employment part of it. Cleaners dont get paid for thier whole day of work only when they are actually at your house, they are strong armed into working late shifts they dont want to, and employees problems are always pushed to the wayside. They also dont have coverage from worksafe and they typically do a bad job at cleaning anyway.

I booked Berely Cleaning for a move out clean in Victoria. I had lived in an 134 year old home (with lots of quirks) and I really did love the place, but I needed to move my family back to the mainland. I had a lot going on and had feared I would not have the time to give the place the cleaning it properly deserved prior to the new tenants moving in. Additionally--my landlord had a much needed surgery booked the morning after my move out date and I did not want to leave her with any additional stressors. I spent awhile looking for a company I could trust would do the job right, and after reading many reviews and checking the BBB I settled on Berely. They quoted me for 4 hours, and had the job done in about 3.5. They did everything. Especally all the things that aren't ever done such as all the blinds, under the fridge/stove, all of the lights/vents, inbetween every wooden pillar in the house. My landlord was VERY happy with the job they had done, and that's really all I could have hoped for. If I end up back in Victoria I'll be hiring them again.

I hired them to do a move-in cleaning of all things as the previous tenants didn't seem to clean at all, and I had some time for someone to clean the floors and other parts that would be much fast and easier without our stuff in there yet. I got two cleaners (one of which was the owner's wife as she told me), and asked them them to deal with a few specific areas, and also mentioned to not address other parts. After the two hours the areas we asked them to clean looked as if they hadn't even touched them, and I stopped by at one point as they were cleaning windows (something we said to not clean as we can do it easy enough afterward). In an effort to reach and understanding about the poor service, I called twice to speak to the manager and even left messages for them, and didn't receive any response. Avoid these cleaners, there seems to be lots of other great options in town that are less expensive.

Post construction clean of an apartment every tenant complained that the clean was horrible and back charged me on average $300 per unit. Scam!

The clean I got was not up to par IMO. The mirror in the bedroom was visibly not cleaned, the corners of the rooms were still dirty (despite asking them to pay special attention to the corners in the email while booking). There was still dust and dirt under easy-to-move furniture (ex. side tables). Underneath the burners on the stop-top was also not cleaned and I assumed that this would be included in the cleaning. I wouldn't be as disappointed if I didn't know that I had paid for 1.5 hours for *two* people to clean. They must of finished in less than 30 mins! I'm using my friend's account as I don't want to get the cleaners involved in to trouble as I understand that it is a hard job to do. I'm simply disappointed with the quality and will choose a different business to go to next time.

I initially gave a 5 star review after using Burley for about 6 weeks: "The team of Carol and Sue provide me with excellent cleaning service every week. They are reliable and prompt and easy to communicate with to discuss priorities. They pay attention to the details and notice things that need cleaning that I may have overlooked. Very professional and friendly team who are a pleasure to have in our home. I recommend them highly!!" However, the week after I wrote this, I was informed that Carol and Sue had left Burley and I was sent a team which included Naomi (who had cleaned our home with Carol once before and did a good job) and the new Assistant Manager, Vivek, whom I was told was excellent. I had a short list of cleaning requirements (vacuuming, kitchen and bathrooms). Naomi did the vacuuming while Vivek took the kitchen and bathrooms. Vivek did a very fast superficial cleaning. The kitchen sink and a toilet were still dirty among other things. Instead he spent most of his time randomly doing things not on my list, such as dusting, which we had already done ourselves and washing hardwood floors which we did not want touched. My husband was very upset to find Vivek nosing around his desk and dusting our bookcase with a wet rag and had to tell him to stop before he ruined our books. The most disappointing part of this was Ashley's response when I told her of this experience. No apology for the terrible clean and no thanks for the feedback. She has trivialized our experience and has ignored our concerns about Vivek. I must therefore retract my previous rating and recommendation of Burley Cleaners. Update: After I posted my review I noticed that the Assistant Manager, Vivek Kanojia, who did the terrible clean at our home, immediately posted his own 5 star review of Burley Cleaning. The following day, his friends Hansie and Harman, who also work at Burley, also posted 5 star reviews. (Sort reviews by most recent to see them). Makes me wonder how many other fake reviews are posted for this company.

After looking at the reviews, Burley Cleaning looked like a great choice. Unfortunately they didn't live up to their rating. I would like to think they are suffering from the same issues that other cleaning businesses are currently facing, too much demand, not enough good staff. Unfortunately, I sent them an email stating my concerns and heard absolutely nothing back. I totally get that things happen and mistakes are made. I just don't have a lot of tolerance for zero effort being made unless someone writes a bad review. I bet I will hear something after this review. To summarize, they arrived half an hour late, cleaned what they wanted and not what was asked of them, did some minor damage to our hardwood floors, cleaned about 30% of what a good clean should have been and then left a half hour early without having completed their tasks list. They were also supposed to give me an invoice at the end of the clean and take payment. They rushed out without doing this. I received an annoyed email from their office manager essentially asking why I hadn't paid yet. I was hoping to use them on a regular basis but I am less than thrilled. Upon booking, I emailed, called and left a voicemail about a week before I heard back from the company. I just figured they were super busy as many cleaning companies are swamped due to COVID. When they called back, we had a good discussion. I asked if they could come and clean for a couple hours or so and do what I had on a tasks list. I do most house cleaning myself, I just needed some supplementary support. She said that would be no problem. She said their staff wouldn't move furniture but would clean wherever else they could reach, including under couches. When they were supposed to show up, I got a text saying they would be 30 min late. I understand these things happen and said as much. They showed up not wearing the professional attire shown on the website. Just plain clothes and dirty shoes. No aprons. Not that it really matters but it was a very good look on the website that didn't match reality. Don't advertise something you don't plan on providing. I gave them a list of the things I wanted cleaned and a tour of the house. They then started telling me how they would clean the house. They wanted to start with things that were at the bottom of the list or not even on it. They were supposed to get as far down the list as they could in the time they were there as discussed with the office. I headed out to do some work in our garage. While they were supposed to stay 2+ hours, I watched them leave the house 1.5hrs in. They told me they had completed everything and I thought wow, they are fast. Then they left, didn't hand me an invoice, didn't show me around to make sure they had done everything. I headed back into the house to look at their work. Their were still quarter-sized dirt spots on our floors, dust in various places, a bathroom that hadn't even been touched and so on. There were also some new scratches on our pre-finished hardwood. A few days later I go an email from the company essentially asking why I hadn't paid. I asked if they accepted e-transfer and I was told I could pay by e-transfer this one time if I paid right away. In other words, they offered e-transfer because they thought I wouldn't pay otherwise. I sent an email saying I had paid and described my experience with their cleaning staff. It's been over a month and have heard absolutely nothing back. This is the first review I have ever written (that I can recall anyways). My issue isn't with the cleaning staff, sometimes you get staff that just aren't that great, things happen. My issue is with the company completely ignoring my concerns after the fact.

Against the advice of friends, I decided to try a professional cleaning service. I could not be more pleased. What a treat to have well trained cleaning personnel arrive at the door and do a thorough job. The office staff and the cleaning staff from Burley are exceptional. You will not be disappointed.

We had two cleaners in our empty home cleaning up between renters, so there was no furniture to negotiate. It took them 6.5 hours to clean the 1400 square foot home and upon review, there were several areas that were still not clean: the stove and oven (they did not remove the elements/reflector bowls to clean and the oven was also left incomplete), the fridge was mediocre (outside was poorly cleaned), behind and around the washer/dryer was left dirty, walls and tile in our studio were not cleaned, all window seals were not thoroughly cleaned (still visible grime), around the floor vents had grime (did not lift them out to clean), under the sinks there was dust and cobwebs left and at the top of the drapes dust and cobwebs were still there, even after we asked them to clean this. I had mentioned my disappointment to them, so they did send another worker to come for an additional few hours to clean some of the areas above. In the end, my husband and I ended up cleaning another 6 plus hours to get the place to a standard of clean that in my opinion I was hoping for from Burley Cleaners.

The first crew might have missed a few things, but I did appreciate their kindness and the fact that they were respectful - especially about the idea of wearing masks. A special thanks to Linda for being so receptive and for ensuring that the cleaning was done to my satisfaction. I appreciate the extra mile you went by cleaning the exterior windows (as requested by my neighbour - which was not part of the original deal!) You are definitely an asset to the company. I would not hesitate recommending Burley Cleaning to anyone.

I had my house cleaned by Burley Cleaning, in anticipation of upcoming house sale. I wanted the house to sparkle for promo photos and prospective buyers. Initially interactions with the company were great. They showed up as booked and took a careful look around. However the cleaning was not in depth as we expected. Obvious dirt on blinds, dirt in window tracks, dust on light fixtures. I contacted the company and sent some photos suggesting they refund some of our money. I have not heard anything since that email. They have now responded and refunded some of our cleaning fee.

I hired 2 cleaners. The appointment was for 2:15. They called and said they needed to change it to 3:15 because "something came up" Ok, so I scheduled for that change. Did not show. I called only to find out my job was now going to a different crew but they didn't know when they would arrive. Long to short, they were still at their last job and didn't really have an idea when they would be done. My timeline was just a day, I could not move it to another day but I was assured when I booked them that they would be there. Will never try them again. Communication was non existent and I would still be waiting if I hadn't called.

Carole and Gus were absolutely amazing. I had a tenant move out and leave the place filthy. A complete and utter mess. These two came in and made the place look brand new again and worked extremely hard and were efficient. I would highly recommend them.
