Typical Canadian Tire Found in a small Ontario city. Have used auto service for a number of e-tests while working in southern Ontario, and while they seem chronically understaffed for the amount of auto service business they do, service manager is always friendly and accommodating.

The challenge I have is every time I need any products for the instant pot pressure cooker they always seem to be out of stock.(eg. 8qt Inside lid rings, 8 qt instant pots, 8 qt liner pots , and any cooking accessories for that size pot) Staff in this department have not been knowledgeable at all. Do your research for your instant pot pressure cooker before stopping here.

Today I tried to buy a new battery for my lawnmower by going through the auto entrance. After all that is where the batteries are kept. I could not get into the store without a tremendous amount of trouble. I am in a walker as I have a broken ankle. Turnstiles cannot be used in a walker but it did say to use the other side, which I did but that side does not open and if it did there was a bin of goods in front. Seems Cdn Tire wants you to walk through their entire store even if you are in a walker or wheelchair. I bought my battery and by the time I got to the car after all that walking I was and still am in a lot of pain. Thanks Cdn. Tire. Can't say when I'll be back.

Had a problem with my car while crossing the border. Called and spoke to Casey. Instantly made me feel comfortable while I was panicking. He arranged for a tow to their shop. After my car was checked they told me it was just a loose battery terminal. They fixed it and didn't even charge me. I couldn't get over it. This is the best car shop I've ever been to. Cannot recommend them enough.

Went to buy gloves for working on a dirtbike, and they had literally 0 latex/nitrile gloves, only gardening gloves!! 4 boxes per person and yet they're so understocked that this is the only Canadian Tire that has none left in stock. I get that people want gloves due to covid 19 but c'mon, they're intended for mechanical applications so people like me can't find what they need because this seems to be the next thing people are hording unnecessarily! This last visit to Canadian Tire was awful. We were to pick up a kayak, which was purchased as a gift and to be picked up today. We went there and the kayak was nowhere to be found!! Five or six employees muddled about for over an hour, with no success finding the paid for kayak! My partner, because of a trip planned this week, purchased another kayak at $100 more than the one purchased, as a gift. Further to that, last Fall, I purchased 4 tires and some other items valued at over a thousand bucks. When I got to the till, the cashier asked me for around $300. I mentioned that couldn't be correct. She could not have charged me for the tires, which were $600. After a few minutes, fussing with the till, she assured me that the amount was indeed around $300. I paid her but when I got to my car, I could not leave the parking lot. I went back to the store, explained what had just occurred. I insisted there was an error and paid the $600 for the tires!! Cashier training: fail!!

Store is disorganized, cluttered, and a complete mess. Most employees are under-trained and or unpleasant. The "you must use a cart" rule is ridiculous. Using the same cloth the clean every cart is gross and unsanitary. On top of that they force you to use it. Go to Niagara Falls or Welland. Stores are bigger, cleaner, better staffed, and overall better.

The gentleman that ensured my nieces and I was still able to get bike ride today. You made her year. I know that the pick up is extremely busy and not easy to contact people easy for order issues. I was a desperate aunt willing to wait for bike today.. didnt know item was damaged until I arrived. I broke down in my car telling my sister in law, that I wouldn't be able to keep my promise. My 18 year old daughter and friend were traveling alone from the US to Toronto when they encountered car trouble. CAA towed them here. The guys not only went out if their way to get the required part, but stayed late to get the car fixed and back on the road. They charged a fair price and called the girls the next day to make sure they got to their destination OK. Would definitely recommend.

My wife bought some hats in cantire pembroke and I didn't like them so she took them to cantire ft erie to return them unused 3 days old with the receipt. Customer service was terrible, involving a supervisor and a manager, at one point employees questioning her whether the receipt was correct. The whole process took almost 30 mins. This is the 3rd time that I've been to this store recently, and every time I'm looking for staff to help. What the...? If you want to sell you need staff. Today I waited in line at the automotive departments for 15min only to be told that the belt I needed was in the seasonal dept. It wasn't and when I returned to the automotive department the line up was 8 deep. The place was packed with people wandering around looking for help. I thought it was a convenience having a Canadian Tire in town...I won't be going back. Ay least the Port Colborne store and Niagara Falls have staff to talk to!

Very poor service at this store. Tried to return 5 miscellaneous items (valued $20) that were accumulated over a few months during COVID. Could not find items in the plethora of receipts I I accumulated. Customer service desk and several associates including a supervisor were unwilling to help and offer solutions to resolve this issue. During the same visit I went to the auto parts counter to obtain product information on brake parts. As I was a first time brake part buyer I asked for help. The associate was very unwilling to provide product numbers and information on the parts so I could research the products on my own. Said you will only see the information he was seeing on his computer. He also told me the only parts he had in stock where the parts I needed and he said he knew what the quality of the parts were because "he's been in the business for 30 years". I explained that I needed to research the parts on my own to ensure I was comfortable buying the parts. He reluctantly wrote on a scrap piece of paper the words brake pads and rotors with prices. I asked for him to at least add the sku numbers so I could research. At that time he quickly snatched the scrap piece of paper from my hand and scribbled the numbers down. At the same time the manager walked by and said they are master craft and that they were good, rather than helping to improve the service experience I was receiving. I then tried to find a few flyer sale items in the store. Shelves were empty, despite the store indicating several dozens were in stock. All the associates that I noticed in the store were doing all kinds of tasks other than working customers. As I waited in line on several occasions not one associate made any contact with me or the other customers to thank them for their patience and that they'd be served as soon as possible. In fact I felt responsible for taking up the associates time while other customers waited. Why did I take on this problem as my own? Probably because not one paid associate was doing so. After this lengthy store experience I took the time to send a detailed email to the store dealer. The store dealer failed to personally reply and to resolve at least the return problem I still had. Instead he passed my email onto the general manager who briefly replied and offered no solution or empathy to the experience I had. I had to reply and ask about the 5 miscellaneous items that I wanted to return which I still had in my possession. Once again the dealer passed my issue onto the general manager who said "sure we will process a return for the items". He said come to the customer service desk and I'd be helped there. Upon returning to the customer service desk to attempt returning the items a second time, once again I was met by the same challenges as the first time. Once I indicated that I received an email from both the dealer and the general manager the associates and several managers who had approached the desk continued to provide an awful customer experience. Essentially the items were finally refunded and the cash tossed on the counter in front of me. Appalled by the service from each and every employee there, I sent a new email to both the dealer and the general manager about this second terrible experience. Many days later not either of them has had the decency or professionalism to reply and to make a very terrible experience better. I vow to never ever do additional business at the Fort Erie Canadian Tire store. I'd encourage everyone to shop at other Canadian Tire stores in the Niagara region, especially the Welland store. The level of service quality at the Fort Erie Canadian Tire store is probably the worst customer service I've ever received. It wasn't once or twice, but most of my experiences at this store are pathetic. At this time of changing customer behavior as a result of the pandemic, I will do everything possible to purchase my products elsewhere whether it be online, from Canadian Tires direct competitors or even abroad. Customer service quality starts at the top.

Really poor customer service and lack of flexibility especially given current situation. I called in this morning about purchasing a bike. I was told that it was unassembled and was still in a box. I could come to the store and buy it but I would not have a warranty. I was fine with this. I drove 40 minutes and waited 30 plus minutes in line. When I got to the counter I was then told this was not the case. The manager was adamant the policy was the policy and non negotiable. Canadian Tire would not sell any bikes unassembled. I was told I could come back at another time for the assembled product once I paid for the purchase. So basically if I wanted to buy the bike I would need to spend more than 4 hours doing so. No thanks! I will take my business elsewhere. When many companies are now trying to retain business through superior customer service. The Canadian Tire store experience is dismal.

I purchased a socket set online for curb side pickup at this store. I placed the order on Monday evening and had the pickup notice in my email on Tuesday morning. Drove there, found the curb side pickup location clearly marked and with a large sign clearly explaining to call the listed number and extension to have an employee come out. This all went smoothly and quickly. Employees were incredibly prompt, pleasant, and helpful. I would drive out of my way to deal with this store again.

Tried to exchange a jug of oil in store. They couldnt find the purchase history and i had no receipt. After 20 mins of wasted time i started to raise my voice in frustration only to have the customer service person scream and yell at me and tell me i was embarassing my mother who was in fact frustrated also. They finally manually exchanged the item as they should have done within the first 2 minutes. I left the store with one unkind word and was again yelled at. Their manager on the phone a day later said "I would have told you to get the F out of the store."..... and all because their employees took 30 mins to do a simple exchange with no refund needed! This is customer sercice at its worst. Also they let garbage and debris build up around their store grounds like they are a garbage dump! Need a whole new staff at this deplorable store

I felt extremely unsafe shopping here due to being surrounded by employees and customers near customer service cashier while waiting In line. I asked and mentioned that social distancing should be enforced and then the employee Alan that doesnt seem to be very friendly purposely entered my personal space getting less then 1 foot from my body. I'm sure just to bug me. I then continued to stand and wait my turn while multiple employees came within 1 foot of me trying to squeeze by I hope I dont get sick now. Employees are not concerned at all about social distancing. They block half the area up front with shopping carts forcing everyone in line to be pooled up near customer service counter. The whole store is laid out in a way where social distancing is hardly even possible. Maybe some shelves and products should be removed to make proper room for covid regulations. Either that or lower the amount of people allowed in the store at one time.

Went to the store on sat,Jan 4 to look for a couple things and decided to use my points(over $90.00) At the Yarmouth store I was told that because I don’t have a card,just use my phone number,that I would have to have my driver’s license as proof of identification. The cashier didn’t understand this so she called the floor manager over and she wasn’t much help either. When my wife replied that we didn’t have to come to this store again , the response was”whatever”. Guess I will stick to my local store.

Called in advance to check stock and they auto guy assured me they had some and warned there are different styles (w/ & w/o center contact). Got there and he came to check my trailer to make sure I got the correct one and found it on the shelf for me. He also gave advice to prevent corrosion on connector. He had no other customers so we shared perspectives on life and politics from different parts of the country. Thanks Andy!

My tail pipe came loose on the hightway just before the cut off to Fort Erie. I went to Canadian Tire and the gentleman said they could not help but would take it off so it would not spark and suggested a muffler place in town to go to the following day. He said it would be cheaper there than him ordering in all the parts. He was correct. My son took the car the following day and was please at the service and price. If it were not for the service guy taking the time to help me I would have ended up spending double or more. I go there for everything I need now because he was so helpful and caring.

The store is a little chaotic at the moment as renovations are taking place. Shelves are empty in a lot of the aisles, and their covid protocols seem to have lapsed as there was no hand sanitizer available. It appears that the shopping carts are also no sanitized after each use by staff. We had to ask for wipes to clean the cart before using it.

came for an oil change. they brought it in changed oil parked it. paid my bill ,went outside and wouldn't start. they say it now needs a starter. never had a problem some wires hanging from under dash. i told them i will take it elsewhere so they pushed it outside in middle of firelane with the keys still turned on and left it.
