Beware, these dryers are dangerously functional. If you've been to any other laundromats in town this may be shocking to you, but you don't need to load up 2 hours worth of quarters for your clothes to dry

OPA! Who knew I would find a Greek-Canadian in Halifax! Google reviews are correct, THIS is the place you need to come when you are a tourist in Halifax and need clean clothes. BTW, the Cappuccino next door is good too!

The owner was extremely defensive and combative when I asked if he had more than one triple loader because I had a lot of blankets to do. He said he didn't need someone LIKE ME who is never satisfied with what he has because he's the biggest in the city. And why are people like me bringing our sex blankets to his washing machines? What a pig!!! My family has a king sized bed and no home washer fits a king sized blanket! I didn't need that kind of disgusting, misogynistic comment simply because I wanted to wash our warm blankets because it's autumn and winter is coming!

I keep meaning to review here. I accidentally found this place. The laundromat I normally go to was full and I searched for a new one and found here. This place is amazing. Not only is it spacious but there's so many washers and dryers I'm never competing with anyone plus the dryers are SOOOOO fantastic my stuff is actually dry when I leave. Another perk is I saved money when means I can spend more here. I highly recommend this place. The hours are better and its just the best. I'm so thankful my other place was full. It brought me to a better place. ***** I have to add an update, my review says 5 months ago (and now probably just now) but it was closer to 3 years ago I found this place and I'm eternally grateful. The owners don't need my help, they are strong, friendly, amazing people who respond to everyone but I feel I need to SPEAK UP and remind people that giving a place 1 star and stating you don't recommend because of a store policy is like giving a restaurant a 1 star review because they made you wear shoes and shirt. Their policy is use our washers to use our dryer's. As a regular someone who goes weekly, I appreciate this immensely. Policies are there for good business. I highly recommend this place.

They are open for 7 days and until 9pm! So you can do last minute laundry. The down part is getting parking, even for a short visit. They also only accept cash. They do however, provide excellent service. The staff is friendly.

Parking is a bit thin even on the quiet days, you can get in and out in about an hour, even with a lot of clothes! The owners are the sweetest local people you could ever support.

By far the best laundromat in Halifax. Owners Bill & Maria ate some of the friendliest people and hard working people I’ve ever met. I’ve been a customer in and off over the last ten years and even though I have laundry in my home I’ll still head over and do all my bedding in their big commercial size washer. The other bonus with Bluenose is all their dryers double capacity propane heated, so your clothes are dry in under thirty minutes. Bluenose is also in a great part of the city with lots of good eats and drinks within a few minutes walk.

After a delightful phone call with the owner, I decided to bring my industrial sized Ikea bag that was overflowing with laundry, down to the Bluenose Laundromat. During my walk, I was looking behind me to ensure I wasn't leaving a trail of unmentionables behind me. Thankfully, I arrived with everything, and I was greeted by a lovely woman. I, literally, dropped my bag on the floor with relief ( it was heavy) and was told it would be done by 6pm. Could it be this easy? Sure enough, I arrived at 6pm with my 6 year old, and it was as if we were family. She told me she was able to do two loads. The total was $20 taxes in. I was pleasantly shocked! I had two Queen sheet sets, a Queen duvet cover set, towels, bath sheets, and jeans and the list goes on. Everything was beautifully organized and wrinkle free! I highly recommend the Bluenose Laundromat!

So I have yet to take clothes here but I called today and spoke to the manager of the main depot to get advice on dry cleaning an evening gown. After describing the dress, he actually advised me to wash it myself as the fabric would do better with washing than dry cleaning. I was very impressed! So now, I have a few things that ned to be dry cleaned. Guess where I will go!

This place is an experience unto itself. Classic laundromat with good quality machines, and a great atmosphere. They will make change there, and are pretty great about it (unlike other places in town). Definitely a place I would go to again.

Great Owners, onsite 100% of the time. Dry Cleaning Service is always timely and the cheapest in town. When I first moved to Halifax I searched high & low to find the cheapest (but still quality dry cleaning service) but by far, min 25%-50% cheaper than any other spot I could find in the city. Then to get good quality on top of that, I can't really say more. Great Job, Great People, Great Price.

This laundromat has at least 3 different washers to wash clothes in and definitely less than 58 washers so don't worry you're covered if you go in with all your clothes at once like I usually do when I go to the laundromat. There is a place to get gumballs and oftentimes there is soccer, or football as it is known on the tv, or yak box as it is known. I prefer bringing my own book or staring at my phone and NOT INTERACTING WITH ANYONE while I'm at the laundromat but you could interact with people if that is your jam I don't know I don't know how you operate but you should totally go wash your clothes here and your towels and your bedding and all of your wigs okay thank you.

Super overpriced for their laundry service and the clothes did not even smell fresh clean or they were not soft I don’t think they put fabric softener or anything in there because there was a lot of static and the clothes were hard would not recommend

Friendly staff, option of changing coins for you to pay the washing machine and dryer if you do not have the precise kind of coins needed and decent opening hours. Point of improvement: Would like to see a bike rack and the option of paying with a credit card instead.

Garden Cleanup

Very good laundry facility. Just spacious enough to feel comfortable, and plenty of washer and dryers available the 2 times I have been there the past 2 weeks. I recently moved into the neighbourhood, and will be returning tommorrow. The prices are modest, and thankfully they have free Wi-fi with a strong signal, as well as adequate washroom facilities. I am pleased to give a postive review.!

Lots of washers and dryers. The washing machines are so clean! I watched two staff members wiping the washing machines off frequently after use while I was there. No gross dusty crud around the top. They were pretty friendly too.

Unfortunately I didn't get the name of the man and woman who work here but they were both very pleasant and friendly. We were on road trip and this laundromat was the closest to our hotel. The establishment was very clean and there were enough machines and dryers which was nice because I had to wash and dry for my family of five. In addition, the gentleman suggested a nearby restaurant where my family and I could go have breakfast.

It‘s a messy rainy day, the dryer in my apartment was broken, I have to run 1.5Km to find a dryer for my wet clothes, you know how frustrated it was for a student without car. Very very sincerely thank you to Maria, she let me used the dryer there, my tears were out of my eyes at that moment. Thank you Maria again, your service is excellent and friendly, she deserves all five stars.

Very well managed laundromat in Halifax. $2.50 for a normal size washing machine and 25 cents for 3 minutes in dryer. They gave me change and also can supply you detergent if you need it. Very friendly gentleman running it. Parking is available on the street.

I brought two duvets for washing and they were ready as promised, neatly packed in clean bags. Great service. The laundry products that were used had a very strong fragrance. It still lingers even after being out on the clothesline overnight. Next tim I would bring my own soap if permissible.

This is a good-sized laundromat with lots of different sized washers. The owner is a little disgruntled gentleman but helpful..! He will answer your questions or help you out. It’s best if you just take his advice! It’s clean and efficient here. We went on a Wednesday morning and didn’t have to wait for a machine. Lots of side street parking too!
