I am unbelievable disappointed and appalled with the service I received at Pal’s. I have been going here since high school to get my uniform dry cleaned and expected the same amount of professionalism and quality for alterations to a dress. I took my dress in to be altered ten days before a wedding; it was not taken in enough when I tried it on after the first alteration. An employee there, who was very kind, pinned my dress again and told me it would be ready for Thursday, two days before the wedding. I came in Thursday looking forward to taking the dress home and to relax, but again it was not taken in enough. I was pinned again, and was hoping that it would be done the following day. The next day I received a call stating that because the dress was already taken in twice before, I would have to pay a fee to have it done a third time. I did not understand why this would be the case, since I already paid and the alterations were not satisfactory, and I felt that the dress should have been altered to fit me properly the first time. Frustrated and disappointed I told the employee that I will be taking the dress elsewhere to be altered, I did not receive a refund. Upon arriving at Pal’s, I was handed my dress, and had to request the dress to be put in a bag. I brought the dress to Pal’s in a bag, and expected to receive it back as such, like I did every other alteration, as I did not want it to get dirty. I took the dress to Stitch It, they made arrangements for me to have the dress altered the same day. When I went to try on my dress to be altered at Stitch It, I found that the safety pins were not taken out, but left in my dress from Pal’s. The company I went to was able to take in my dress the exact way I want it, and I am happy to say he dress now fits me perfectly. I do not recommend Pal’s for alterations, I will not be continuing here in the future for alterations or dry cleaning.
