A lot of the time it's here before I even get to work with just a note on my desk, which is sad because it mean's I have missed his smiling face! To start things off I used to be employed by UniFirst, as well as received their uniform service while working for another employer. UniFirst's promise is to "Do It Right The First Time", and it's really true to their heart of customer satisfaction. These guys work to make sure the customer has a timely delivery service, clean uniforms every week, as well as a fair and honest bill. You'll know pretty quick when you've got a poor Route Representative - you are allowed to ask for a new driver. Most complaints come from the Representative not doing his job right or from having to wait for new garments to come in. Unfortunately in this industry, garments have to be made elsewhere and shipped to Calgary - which often takes a minimum of about three weeks. UniFirst's Calgary plant has been ranked at the top of the North American charts for a while now. If you're looking to be employed by UniFirst, try it! Be prepared to enjoy the freedom of being a delivery driver, being self-reliable and sociable. Don't be fooled by the promise of competitor's offering you jaw dropping deals "for the first year". UniFirst will offer you a consistent bill and an honest relationship.

I was approached by an employee in Calgary named Stephanie O’Neill. She was unkept looking, needed to shower for sure. Extremely rude and unprofessional. Part of me didn’t believe she was actually employed. I am the controller of a large corporate business with employees in uniforms. Stephanie tried to convince me why our current supplier, cintas, is a horrible company. I was blown away by her appearance, attitude and unprofessionalism. After speaking with a couple of my colleges, I found out that this wasn’t the first encounter that this creature has had with others. Buyers beware. This company may be outstanding, but they need to check out their employees.

Several months ago the company I'm employed with, a manufacturing center in Calgary which employs around 100 people made the switch to Unifirst from another large uniform business. My role traditionally is machine maintenance but I have also taken on the responsibility of managing facility related issues and all the associated vendors. I ended up meeting with some individuals from Unifirst on a cold call visit and they provided us with some information that was beneficial for both parties. We were with the past vendor for close to 15 years, a decision was made to change services. Although we were initially hesitant for the transition, it couldn't have gone smoother. Every person that was involved from the sales team, account manager to the representative who is here weekly they seemed to do all they could to make it easier for us. Personally, communication is key, this to me is there greatest strength, having to only mention something once and receive confirmation and excellent follow up. Even though we have only been with them for a short time, I would recommend them to anyone looking. Fantastic service!

Also he writes out all of the forms or anything that he fills out in front of me so I can see what is being done. He definitely takes to time to make sure everything is done right and if I find any uniforms after we have been charged he is sure to credit us back. The gentleman thats comes by is so great, But the call center/ acct dept is brutal to deal with. To cancel acct its quit the process then you send registered letter to cancel and they just refuse to sign it and send back. What terrible business practices was with them for over 10 years then i found out i was being over charged

If I can rate 0 of 5, I would. This company is atrocious and overall ethics is horrible. We returned all the coverall and was sent a bill of lost coveralls. Price is over the room compared to other coverall companies. Service was horrible, the driver forgets almost every time. The durability of the coverall is also below average. If you are looking for a coverall company, price other company and you will see Unifirst over charges you everything. I was also charged handling fee for a product the driver forgets.

Unifirst Canada has been providing uniform service to Compass Energy Systems Ltd. since December 2014. Prior to that date, our uniform services were provided by another provider that was mis-managing the program. From our initial install until Compass’ peak employee level, Unifirst handled all additions very well and within the promised timeframe. Weekly communication is open with our Route Representative. Through the years, as business levels have fluctuated, resulting in employee losses and additions, Unifirst has continued to be very responsive to Compass’ requirements, When Compass consolidated operations into one building, Unifirst partnered with Compass to ensure a seamless transition to move the employee garments and ensure there were no interruptions in service during this consolidation. Further as Compass expanded again with the addition of another facility, Unifirst was there again to support the move by ensuring employees that were moving, did not miss any service to the coverall supply. Having worked with four different uniform service programs in my 20+ years in this industry, Unifirst is the benchmark by which Compass measures our other service providers by.  Compass has accurate and timely records from Unifirst.  Compass has professional representation, not only from their management, but from their Route Representatives, as well.  Compass has realized a significant cost savings on delivered products, damage repairs, and lost uniforms.  And finally, Unifirst has managed the uniform program for Compass so that our involvement is minimal. With easy to read and understand invoices and a caring representative, Unifirst has allowed me and my team to concentrate on matters that are of more importance to our business than uniforms.

UniFirst has taken over our linen service about a year ago and we are very pleased with the service. Our old linen company should take some lessons from them for customer satisfaction. Mark Fleck is an awesome rep and is always concerned if things are up to my standards. If I am not in the office Mark knows what to do and where the linens are to be placed. Unlike the old company I know when Mark was there and I have a clean supply of linens. Top notch service.
