After our over the range microwave of 11 years stopped working we began to search for a replacement. We found the Laundry Store was recommended by the manufacturer of the microwave we chose. After reading the reviews, we decided to take a trip and see what everyone was raving about. When we arrived we met Spencer. He took the time to listen to us and helped us find a replacement microwave. After Spencer found the microwave he did a search to see if the price was the lowest in the city. In other words he did the "price match" search for us right away. We discussed the installation with him. Although it looked pretty straight forward online the installation cost was reasonable enough to have it done by a professional. Spencer told us when the microwave would be in and we left. A week later, Spencer called to let us know that the manufacturer had delayed the delivery and that the microwave would arrive a week later. We appreciated that he called to inform us of the delay. Spencer did offer us to purchase another unit if we were not able to wait but as we were not in a rush we waited. Spencer called when the microwave was available and we picked it up. While picking up the microwave Spencer arranged with the installer Aaron to have it installed. Aaron was very accommodating and arrived a few days later to install the microwave. Aaron and his partner Tom were quick and efficient. They cleaned up as they went and had the microwave installed in under a half an hour. We are sure it would have taken us 2 hours to do the same job. Overall - our experience with the Laundry Store has been amazing. From the professionalism of Spencer, Aaron and Tom, the reasonable prices and the worry free experience, we can see why many others have left positive reviews. As our other appliances are also 11 years old and are most likely at the end of their life, we will be back to the Laundry Store to deal with Spencer and know that we are in great hands. We have never spent two hours in any store let alone an appliance store. However Jonathan was so informative and answered all our questions regarding washing machines. It's been twenty years since we bought our last washer and a lot has changed since then. We went in thinking we would get a top load high efficiency washer and walked out with a front loading HE European brand. The commission free experience meant Jonathan wasn't pushing one particular model over another. There was no pressure.

My late Dad, who wouldn’t touch a laundry machine unless it dispensed Scotch, was visually impaired and would have gotten a real kick out of the Braille! Last summer I renovated my kitchen. I stopped into this store to see what they were about. The owner was very informative and spent some time with me discussing options for a new counter depth refrigerator. He told me about a Moffat for $1890 that supposedly is a Bosch without the label. We also discussed washers and dryers as I want to upgrade soon (my dryer is limping along so that soon is within a couple months). That same week I saw an actual Bosch at Lowe's for $2090 on clearance. I chose to support a local business that told me I would get assistance with warranty calls and great follow up care. For the last few weeks the Moffat refrigerator has been making extremely loud knocking noises. I know that fridges aren't completely silent, but this goes on and on and can be heard from other parts of the house. I called the Laundry store and they asked me to send a sound clip so they could help. I did so that same day. 6 days later I hadn't heard anything so today I called. I was told they couldn't hear the sound clip. Unfortunately no one returned my email or called to let me know. At least they apologized for not replying and sent me a copy of my invoice so I can handle it myself. Really, the only reason to pay more at a local store is to get great service and support local economy. If one of two of those things doesn't happen, there is no point (except for the business owner). I am now dealing with Moffat directly and like all these issues, I'm sure it will take hours and hours of my time. I'll buy my new washer and dryer from Lowe's this week during the sale. I will be selling this refrigerator on kijiji once it is fixed and buying a Bosch or Kitchenaid, also from Lowes.

Our original delivery of our washer was delayed due to illness of the delivery guy, but the staff at The Laundry Store made it happen the next day and we were so impressed! They were awesome. No need to shop anywhere else, everything you need is at the Laundry Store. Incredibly helpful people, case and point, recently I thought I would have to purchase a new machine as I had washed a rubber mat and my AEG machine would not finish the load I couldn't open the door. Glenn could have sold me on the spot a new machine as mine is thirteen years old which I bough from Glen instead he guided me to try a few things first and bingo it worked. I was fortunate I did not have to have the extra cost of calling in a service man which would have cost me $$$ . I only wish I had known about the Laundry Store years ago when I was remolding my kitchen. However I since replaced two dishwashers from Glenn at the laundry Store. A few weeks ago our old decrepit washing machine cratered. The guys at The Laundry Store spent a lot of time helping us determine what kind of machine was going to be best for our family’s needs. We picked out a sleek European model with large capacity, and after a month of multiple loads per week, we are thrilled with our purchase. Our laundry is coming out cleaner and fresher than it ever did out of our old machine, and the machine is nearly silent, which we love because our laundry room is close to our family room. I especially love the extra settings for doing loads at hotter temperatures for washing towels, or for washing handwash-only items like wool sweaters. I bought a Haier 24" 2.0 Cu ft front load washer - dryer combo unit from the laundry store and they offered an extended warranty. I fell for it and bought the extended warranty. I had an issue with the unit and made a warranty claim in Nov 2020; three visits from the repairer since Nov 2020 and each time with a wrong part; they cannot seem to get the right belt for the machine. Stay away from w3solutions and Transglobal Service. Disappointed with The Laundry Store as well for selling a service that does not work. It is 20th of July 2021 and after 8 months, numerous email and phone calls, the Washer - Dryer unit is still not repaired.

My recent experience with The Laundry Store was very frustrating. They are very unprofessional after they sell you something. They appear to know the products but then have difficulty getting them, do not have services in place to deliver and instal although they say they do. You find out later after weeks of delay that they just hire installers after the product arrives. They are at the bottom of the list from Samsung for delivery and cannot even find out when appliances are coming and waste so much of your time telling you unrelated stories and excuses. I am still waiting after over 3 weeks when promised a week. They have no training in customer service and nickel and dime you to death over everything that can be added on after the sale. They do not take responsibility for giving you inaccurate information just excuses. They do not keep their word when quoting delivery and instal prices. Very unhappy customer:(

Sales people talk too much and provide minimal information. They claim the installers are excellent and do high quality work. The dishwasher installer "eyeballed" the work, yet the dishwasher is not parallel with the counter. The installer put a screw through 1/4" plywood and the screw sticks out the other side where it will hurt people. Moving the screw up 2 cm would prevent the issue. Easy to do but the installers just don't take care to do a quality job. Similar story for the washer / dryer installers. They claim to do a great job, but then install the units too close the wall. The hoses and electrical cords rub and wear out. Moving the units an appropriate distance from the wall prevents the issue. But the installers don't take care to do quality.

I had the most amazing service in the Laundry Store! I needed to replace a stacked washer and dryer for our small condo in Canmore. I spoke with a man who turned out to be the owner. He listened to what I wanted, and then proceeded to educate me on on the differences between European and North American laundry machines. When I asked for his reccomondation for the condo, he suggested 2 makes - the Blomberg if our dryer outlet was less than 20 feet, or the electrolux if we needed a nonventing dryer. I went home, looked on line to see the dimentions and ratings of the Blomberg and electrolux machines, and checked how far the venting pipe had to travel. I chose the Blomberg washer and dryer. I called the store and asked Glenn, the owner, if he could deliver it to Canmore, install it and take away the old machines. I knew that the Laundry Store doesn't deliver to Canmore, but he found 3 options for me to choose from! Imagine! How often does on get this kind of service! I made my choice, and told him when I would be in Canmore. He arranged for the plumber and his assistant to come early Friday morning, gave me his name and phone number, and sure enough, I got a call at 8:30 saying they were on their way, and be in Canmore in an hour. Everything went smoothly. I am so delighted to have found a store that knows its products very well and are willing to take the time to make sure the the appliance you buy will fill your needs. They also see Persil products, which I have been using for the past 2 years ... one box of detergent for white clothes and one for coloured, lasts me for more than a year. I highly recommend the Laundry Store for your home appliances (not just washers and dryers).

Update: Just bought our dishwasher here now too, different salesman (Kirk) but again amazing product knowledge. We wont even shop around for the next appliance as the prices are the best as is the service. Came to get an idea in price for two different brands of stackable washer and dryer and end up buying. The level of knowledge when comparing different brands is supreme with specific details about everything you ask.(Not the typical sales guy who learns the brochure and says the same thing to everyone). Thanks guys for keeping the doors open 45 minutes extra for us!!!

I just bought a new dryer from The Laundry Store and I couldn't have been more impressed with the knowledge and customer service from the employee (Alex) that I spoke with in the store. I had done enough research that I was down to my top two or three options, but Alex took the time to educate me on the differences between the different manufacturers and the characteristics of European vs. North American washers and dryers. He was full of knowledge on the options and on the do's and don'ts of laundry to get the most out of your appliance - things that I didn't know and will be putting into practice from now on. They even had a sheet with all the laundry information to take home. I had gone to a major retailer just beforehand and I felt like I had learned nothing but the prices they were going to offer. I even had to find one of the models I was looking for myself. So The Laundry Store was a breath of fresh air by comparison. I would definitely recommend The Laundry Store to anyone who is looking for any new appliance (they sell more than washers and dryers). You will get great service and no pressure, since they aren't on commission!

The only place I will ever shop again for appliances. No more going from store to store. They are knowledgeable, friendly, priced competitively and the marquis for customer service including the delivery and set up. My stove needed to be moved in order to set up my new microwave. I asked them to give me a chance to sweep under the stove before they put it back and too late, the installers had already cleaned the area. Ended up replacing the stove a month later-painless and now we need to replace our washer. No worries-off to The Laundry.

There is something to people who are passionate about things. All the employees at the laundry store are super knowledgeable and have a passion for laundry. This family owned store is doesn't pay their employees commission so you never feel any pressure to buy a certain brand or anything at all. We've been shopping at The Laundry Store for years, and it's always our number one place to go when we need an appliance replaced. Glenn and his staff have incredible product knowledge, and always give outstanding service. We just purchased a Bosch dishwasher from TLS. It is the most wonderful dishwasher we've ever had. Our old dishwasher required tons of pre-rinsing, and often still came out with spots of food that were now baked on. I was also frequently doing 2 loads of dishes per day. Our new Bosch leaves everything sparkling clean with no pre-rinsing, and is so quiet that I have to be standing right beside it to even know it's on. And a huge bonus is that I now do only one load a day because of the super roomy triple-rack interior. Thanks again for another great appliance!

My wife Melissa and I dealt with the manager Glen Isbister, and he was very helpful and knowledgeable, even if he did tend to ramble on a wee bit. He had a lot of information to convey! We purchased an entire kitchen: induction stove, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, We had done our due diligence beforehand, and we estimate that we saved about 25-30% as compared to Lowes or Trail Appliances. I think the key point is their staff are salary; NOBODY IS ON COMMISSION. We never felt like they were working us over, and they respected our decisions regarding price points. With regard to the negative post above, they did advise us that set-up and delivery were arranged through a separate company. They gave us 3 names to call, but I don't think they are responsible for someone else's snafu.

We needed to replace the 20+ years old washer/dryer in a home we just moved into, and decided to check out The Laundry Store based on the fact that it's one of the few appliance places in Calgary with a good rating in Google! We were already seriously considering a pair of Kenmore washer/dryers from Sears, but decided to make a quick visit here anyway because of the reference in the reviews to the unique washer/dryers offered. A few seconds after entering the store, we met Jonathan and were proceeded to be educated in depth about the mechanics of how a good washer washes your clothes, the correct way of doing laundry, and how machines in the North American market are built all wrong. Now I'm usually a skeptic when it comes to sales people telling me ANYTHING, but what Jonathan told me actually made sense. He was so knowledgeable about ALL the machines on the sales floor, and the cycles offered by each, which had the latest and greatest washing technology, etc. By now we've completely ditched the idea of the Kenmores and left the store to sleep on it and to try to decide between two different pairs of Blombergs and a Miele pair. The next day we went back to the store and was helped by Chase. We decided on the Blomberg pair with heat pump dryer, and Chase helped put together the order and delivery details. The pair we wanted wasn't in stock (it would be another week or two) and I was in dire need of doing laundry (I refused to use the old top loading agitator machine), so we purchased the floor model and arranged for delivery a few days later. We were even set up with some samples of laundry detergent & softener, which was greatly appreciated! Day of delivery, two guys arrived with our new Blomberg machines, had our two old clunkers removed, and new ones installed in less than half an hour. Both machines were in perfect condition and came with all manuals and parts even though it was a floor model. Rates for delivery, installation and removal of old machine were very reasonable and the guys were great. So far, we've only done one load of laundry (late at night after delivery) but I'm already impressed with our new machines. I washed a few white towels using the box of Persil detergent we got and have not seen tthe towels as white as they are since the day they were new. I'm confident that we will be offered support by The Laundry Store if we run into issues. Thanks Jonathan and Chase for a great experience and for your wealth of knowledge on laundry machines! If you're in the market for washer/dryer or other appliances, be sure to check this place out. Do keep an open mind (bigger is NOT always better when it comes to appliances) and you will be rewarded!

I never once in my life thought I would spend this much time in a laundry store. The folks here are awesome, and took their time explaining all the various technologies within the laundry world. These guys really take the time to educate you on what your purchasing, along with teaching you how to use them properly with the right detergents. I highly, very highly, recommend these guys if you're in the market for a new washer and dryer set. Be prepared to be schooled in the world of laundry.
