Got my shoes repaired here. Awful service. Replaced leather with a gross plastic after guaranteeing they would be done in leather. Took them back and it took 2 hours of phone calls to get them to do it right just as they promised. After all this they guaranteed they would be done by Friday it's past friday and they have delayed delivery it twice now once because they didn't even know where the shoes were. Terrible service.

I thought I'd try this place out since it was nearby. I took in a pair of sandals, a pair of boots, and a purse. I asked them to phone me with an estimate since they couldn't give me an approximation of cost. They never called, went ahead and did the work. I had to call them to find out anything more than a week later, to which they just told me they tried calling (I never had any missed calls on my phone?), and then they couldn't find my purse. They had also offered to clean my purse which they didn't even do. The sandals are pretty useless now the way they "fixed" them, it's like walking on a big lump. Not impressed.

They have managed to remove stains we could not and discoloring of shirt collars. They have done well repairing boys jeans with good looking durable patches to keep them alive til he outgrew the jeans for $10 per pair. DEAL

I've used Fishmans in Bankview for cleaning, shoe repairs and clothing alterations and they are consistently excellent. Customer interaction is very neighborhood personable and they take the time to talk to you about what the needs are for each service. Thank goodness we have this in the neighborhood!

Used Fishman's for years. Recently got some clothes dry cleaned and noticed that they came back horribly wrinkled and covered in hair. One of my blazers is now damaged. I think it might have to do with their new "green" cleaners.
