Agree with most on here. Too pricey. $3 minimum for approx 2 min 30sec. Went through the drive in wash bay. Pressure was low compared to other washes I've visited. I only used the rinse and wash features and the only positive I have is that there is lots of soap on the wash feature. Will not be back.

I regularly go here for a car wash and my experience back then was great but I wasn’t expecting this bad of an experience tonight. An old lady working there told me to leave and that i had to find a different car wash because I was being “disrespectful”. The first thing she said to me was “Are you playing music? Take that OUTSIDE!” She aggressively said i was playing LOUD music. Take note my volume was at 3!! She said a customer complained about it and i have to leave because she says so... I cant even hear it from outside the car because of the pressure washing noise. Worst experience ever!!!!!

Have been going there for over 15 years until the owner sent his worker over to tell me I was taking to long. Informed the worker if I was taking to long the owner could tell me himself in which he never did....have never been back since nor will I ever. Should learn how to treat loyal and repeat customers. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND, found a much better place who values my business.

DO NOT GO HERE unless you absolutely have to. They’re extremely cheap on the time they give you. It’s a minimum of $3 using coins and that only gives you 2:30. Not worth it imho. Better to head to the one in Bowness. Take care, don’t get skimped.

Big with lots of options. Do it yourself or drive thru. It's on the expensive side. And the attendant can be extremely annoying. I was there to wash my vehicle and when I was done the attendant wanted me to hose down the bay ....., On my coin. I don't think so That's the attendants job. Get after it Babba.

I love going to this Big Bucket Location! Always clean, all mat clamps in tact, vacuums work, the bays are always clean, nothing is broken! I also like that it’s safe to be there in the evening. Always see Barry there and he’s very helpful and attentive to what is going in the facility!

Always a pleasure to bring my car here. They have a large number of bays so the line never gets too long, very fair prices, and staff are constantly out on the floor cleaning up the bays so you don't have to pull your dirty car into an even dirtier bay. Would recommend if you're into wand washing, I have not tried their automatic bays though.

On a normal day, I really like this carwash and often will go out of my way to go there now that I live in a different neighbourhood. Great service and reasonable prices for the quality of carwash but the experience I had yesterday with Barry's help was amazing. I locked myself out of my car, keys, wallet, cell phone and all. He went above and beyond to help me and was so friendly and reassuring the whole time (something he definitely didn't have to do). When a company tried to overcharge me to come and unlock the car, he called back and said absolutely not (and saved me some serious coin) and was able to help me get in. He took time out of his day to help and chat like we were old friends while still keeping on top of the other customers in the wash bays and keeping each bay spotless as they left. He turned something that would ruin most people's day into a pleasant story about great customer service and reminded me there are still good people in the world willing to help. Barry's the best!!

My go-to car wash. Reasonably priced, employees are friendly, option of wand washing or machine, and they don't skimp on the soap additives or foam. The only thing I would love is if the rinse function used hot water like the soap option, so the car would dry faster. But, you can't have it all eh? They will continue to be me go to car wash until they decide to change their soap ratios to get more money, or slowly start decreasing the time per dollar of washing (like every other car wash inevitably does)

The stalls are cleaned as soon as the previous car leaves which is a good thing. Unfortunately the rest is a little disappointing. For reference I used the wand self wash. The majority of the products don’t seem to be as high end as some of the other car washes, although the power dryer is very powerful. All in, this car wash is about twice as expensive as some of the higher end car washes in town as my 12$ usual (at another wash) cost me 24$ here. The value for dollar just isn’t there in my opinion.

I went to big bucket knowing that this car wash is good for having all components of the car wash functioning. Unfortunately that was not the case. I put $7 into the machine and chose the high pressure soap. After a minute or more, there still was little to no soap coming out of the nozzle. I mentioned it to the lady working and she said she would go get the manager. While i waited for the manager to show up (which he did not) i rinsed my vehicle with the remaining time left for my money. I then went to ask the employee if the manager was coming to speak to me and she pointed me in his direction. I asked for my $7 back because i could have rinsed my vehicle at home for free. He went and adjusted something in the supply room while the employee went to investigate the sprayer further. Manager said the line was full of rinse water and you just have to wait for the soap. Well actually the employee saw that there was no soap coming out while i was washing my car(more than 6 minutes should be sufficienttime for the soap to show up). I asked again for my money back but he told me my car looks clean. Well yeah, when you spray it with water for 6 minutes obviously it will look clean. I paid for high pressure soap as advertised on your control panel. Then the manager said "you washed your car lady" umm wow, way to have ZERO professionalism! I will never be back. The owner should re-evaluate management and how they speak with PAYING CUSTOMERS

Went through the touchless wash with my truck the other night. Facility is definitely showing its age and could use an update. Given the price is a few dollars more than a coop wash, it's not worth it. The machines only wash one side per pass so the wash takes much longer than new facilities. The dryer also has very low power and does not offer nearly enough time to dry a truck. I'll stick to coop going forward as this wasn't worth thr cost.

I have been coming here for years and although I have had good experiences today was not. First of all if your hours have changed make sure Google knows it. Very frustrating to turn up at 10:45 am on a Sunday on one of the nicest days we have had in a month only to find it isn’t open until noon?! Upon returning the same afternoon and after waiting about 20 mins in line I got inside to see that every other bay is closed due to COVID. I do not know if this is government imposed but it seems overly cautious and excessive given the amount of space inside. I went to refill my card in the machine - a good deal to get $50 worth for $40. However the machine wouldn’t let me refill it and it also wouldn’t give me a new card - no attendant to be found to ask why and no signs posted for an explanation. Pre-soak function would not work, then the rinse function still had a small amount of soap coming out. Grime was still on the car when I left because obviously the soap alone wasn’t strong enough. What is going on here? Owners please pay attention!

Used to really love this place. Last two times I have gone have not been so great. All the little things... Cold water. 30 seconds to transition from high pressure soap to high pressure rinse, literally standing there watching your money burn away while soap continues to out. Does not accept quarters. $3 to start but only 2 min 30 seconds given. These may be little ways to increase profit margins, but when you have all of them, it really does start to add up. Hope at least a few of these issues are resolved in the near future.

Great place. Clear instructions, friendly staff, and it wasn't busy at all. I drove up, did what I had to do and left without any troubles in less than half an hour. Inside the Bay credit cards are accepted. Outside, in front of the complex, coins are needed for the vacuum and spot cleaner. Will definitely be visiting again.

Avoid at all costs! I couldn't wash my car after paying because I had a bicycle trailer. Entry instructions are vague. Best of all, they asked me to drive back in order to get my car washed the next day then told me, when I came back, that it's not doable in a rude and irresponsible way. And to “scare me” they said the mechanism might be damaged and I should forget about it, threatening me that I will pay the cost of repairing the damaged mechanism if I don't give up.. And yet people washed their cars with this same mechanism when I was there (to get a coupon as the lady told me the day I first came). I ended up neither having my car washed nor refunded. Really upsetting.

The vacuums are strong; I accidentally vacuumed up a pencil. The water pressure is excellent and the foam soap gets everything off. I don't like the flex head scrub brush but I suppose it keeps people from scratching their paint by scrubbing too hard. Garbage cans are provided at each stall. There is a change machine so you can pay by coins or credit card in the self wash bays.

Good location, and well maintained. It's not uncommon to see the staff washing out the bays between customers. Wash equipment is well maintained. I also like that they have compressed air to blow out hard to dry places such as door handles and side mirrors. I like that I get gift cards for them now and then too! Helps keep my vehicles clean!

Acknowledging the one-star reviews here, but I personally haven't had any issues at Big Bucket. My vehicle arrives dirty and leaves clean. It's not my 100% go-to car wash, but I would never tell people to avoid it.

I have been coming faithfully here until now. The price just isn't worth it anymore. (it has increased in recent years) To require a minimum $3 charge now for LESS then 3 minutes? I could easily spend $9 just to vacuum thoroughly. Otherwise it's always been well taken care of and clean.

Avoid, especially the touchless automatic wash. I got the deluxe wash and it left a very obvious white residue in the pattern of the wash equipment on the left side of my car. The service guy on site couldn't handle my complaint apparently, and directed me to call the manager about it, who tried to pass it off as 'reside from the road after it rains'. I was eventually given $3.50 in wash credit to re-wash it myself by hand, and still had to pay out of pocket to rinse off the foam brush. The manager also made sure to let me know that I was only getting partially refunded because I paid for the more expensive ($14) car wash, not the cheap one ($12) that only gets used for "rental cars" in his words. I was able to wash it off the car but still have white reside on my tires.

Water is really cold not even lukewarm and not enough foam from brush. Couldn't get dirt off effectively so cost $11 eventually. I always wash my car in same way and cost $5-7 at other car wash. Better go to co-op automatic touchless at same price.

To Brad R…. I am the “old lady” you refer to in your review. There’s two sides to every story so I’m going to add details you missed. 1. I have natural grey hair, it does not mean I’m old. 2. Name calling is usually a behaviour displayed by children, not adults. 3. We are a public business. During COVID you must wear a mask in all public places. Doesn’t matter what business it is. May I ask where your mask was during your car wash? 4. I was wearing my mask when I spoke to you, stayed 2 metre’s away from you and you continued washing your vehicle….above all the noise and my mask, how did you determine I was being rude? 5. The gentleman in Bay 4, next to you, wiping down his freshly washed car asked me to speak to you as you were spraying his car as he was wiping it down. 6. Your vehicle plus the four foot bike extension with bikes on it were out past the tarp. When you park like that and spray from side to side, out past the tarps water spray goes into the bays next to you and you spray the vehicle and persons in those bays. 7. Im sorry you were offended at my car wash etiquette conversation. It was not meant to be rude. We I was trying to help you understand why it’s not a good idea to wash your vehicle in the manner you were washing. 8. To other customers reading this response and may not know….In a car wash, you wash from back to front so you don’t spray people in the adjoining bays. You watch that you don’t spray underneath the tarps as well so as not to wet the other customer’s feet. 9. I’m sorry you felt my knowledge was rude. 10. As an adult, I’ll keep your response to me to myself.

I have brought my very muddy truck here and cleaned it many times with no problem. Other places have turned me away due to there being too much mud, but that has never been an issue here. The only request is that you spray any mud or debris under the vehicle once you finish which is fair as to not make a huge mess for the next customer. Barry is always very friendly and helpful. They use the card only machines now inside the bays. a quick rinse to get dust off my car...$3.25 for 1:20...yes one minute and twenty seconds, I wanted to see how expensive it would be and found out. I will give them credit for the machine stating their max is $30 incase you forget to shut the machine off after you're done. Still way too expensive compared to coin machines. No sheets in my bay stating their minimum charges as I later saw posted online, had I seen this I would have kept driving.

Had a wonderful experience here, as we were driving in to the bay a gentleman from the car wash was spraying down the bay from the car before which I think was amazing with some car washes you never know If the bay was cleaned before use. Super easy services to use, very quick and efficient. Will definitely be back again.

Asking him to reimburse me, he refused and said get out of my carwash! If you want to have respect for what business you are bringing in ? DO NOT GO HERE.

I like the pay system at this outlet. A lot of these drive-in wand wash places issue a time ticket when you enter. This spot is different, you pay in the stall for the time you use and that's it. The attendant also gave me a friendly nod on the way out. Nice to see acknowledgement of the customer.

I love going here to wash my car. I have never had any problems with the touchless wash. It dose a great job I wish they would allow a little longer drying time. But other then that the're a great place to go. Some day's the wait is a little longer then other's. Just depends on what time of day you pick to go there. Also depending on the day you picked to go there. Weekend's I find are busier so if you can go on a week day you may find it a little faster. Also depending on the time of day you pick to go. But for the most part they are usually pretty fast with not too many people washing their car's. I highly recommend them to everyone that like's touchless car washes. They also have great vacuums the clean up your car very well. Sometimes it may take a little bit of hard work from you using the vacuum to get what you need to get out ex:(pet hair from dog's or other thing's that are fine and can weave into your car's carpet fibres or sit fibres. If you have fibre covered seats). But other than that the vacuums are very good. They get pretty much everything out,unless you have spelt something on the carpet or your seats. In that case you'll have to take care of that on your own.

I rarely write review but this place is absolutely terrible!! Avoid! The vacuum attachment is made from a plastic pipe used in construction, left my nice leather backseat with a large scratch ????. And on top of this I almost sprayed the guy next to me because the dividers are to short, hoses are tangled... I have no good things to say about this place!

So after our day of off roaring on Saturday, we were about to head back to our home in Saint Albert but the rear doors of our Jeep were blocked shut by frozen mud. And our dog was back there so we had to get them open ????! So we went to Big Bucket Car Wash on 98 Crowfoot Circle in Calgary. When the guy there saw our Jeep coated in frozen mud he made me a deal that if I sprayed my mud and dirt into the drain, he would let me have a free cold water wash! This was perfect because all I wanted to do was to spray off the frozen mud so I could open up the back doors! In addition I had broke my rear wiper and when he saw me trying to fix it, he kept bringing over different types of tape and what not to help out. What an amazing guy! Wish I got his name. I fully recommend this car wash to all our off-roading (and on-roaring) folks who happen to be passing through Calgary on their next adventure!

I must have missed the "friendly" staff as I was lectured on which direction to wash my car by the old woman that works there. Not asked or politely reminded...lectured...and I was told I was being watched as I did it incorrectly (according to her rules). I have frequented this location since the building went up almost 30years ago...not anymore.

Great place. A little pricey in my opinion but nice clean place
