We have been using this laundry mat for 2 years now and our experience seems to be getting worse as time goes on. We have lost countless amounts of change to unmarked out of order machines. Washers have periodically left full loads soaking wet having not been spun. Dryers will spin with no heat and leave clothes wet. There have been times when we visit and almost half the machines are out of order leaving all the customers to mark or spread the word of what machines actually work. The payment system is out dated. All the machines can only receive loonies and quarters which constantly jam or are rejected. The coin machine cannot accept newly issued bills, which is very frustrating. Overall, this laundry mat is poorly run. If another laundry mat opens up in Alcona, we will definitely be going there.

Used to be a a good place to go. Some washers do not spin so your clothes come out sopping wet. Some washers take your money and don't work.Dryers don't dry your clothes. It's a hit or miss in this place. Save your time and money and time drive to Barrie. Very disappointing

Use to be a great place, not sure if the ownership has changed. I use to be able to call the owner and he would reimburse me for lost money in a downed machine, now there is only an email that no one responds back to. Let's just say after leaving an email about my situation and not getting a response back, I will not be going back here , and I've used this location for 4 YEARS! it's not worth the risk as out of order machines are not labeled as such. I would never recommend this place to anyone if they don't desperately need the service.

50/50 chance people are abiding by CoVid rules. No sign on the door, so the reply to requesting to put one on near you is " I don't believe in it." Or even better " it's a government hoax" ???? Hit or miss on the machines working and you may loose your funds as they do not give you back your money. Time to find a better place.

If I could give it a zero I would. Washers don’t spin properly so clothes are still wet when the machines are done. Dryers don’t get very hot. Washroom was out of service and change machine is very finicky with bills. Sometimes it works and sometimes not. ???? Update nov 2021. They have 5 new front loaders that work great. Stick to these machines.

This is the only laundry place in Alcona.Ita only half km from lake Simcoe.Its in pretty clean in here.You buy small package of soap from the coin dispenser.

i washed 4 loads of laundry here today. the first load of wash i started had a wash time of 36 minutes. The machine said 1 min remaining for 14 minutes, thus, I had the remaining 3 loads in the dryer before my first load finished washing. Once the machine finally unlocked...My load of laundry was sitting in puddle of water in the machine that cost $3.50 per wash! I had to hand wring it and obviously pay extra drying money. Not impressed with my first visit.

It is worth the drive to Barrie. Don't use this laundromat, seriously. Even if you factor in the coat of gas, you'll probably save money going to Barrie considering the fact that every single machine at Bubbles&Suds steals extra money (says $3.75 but won't start without $4-$5). Then they don't spin dry, so your clothes need to be rung out, and take extra time in the dryer, which costs more. The owners don't care. They can never be reached. They can't be bothered to maintain their machines. This is ongoing for at least the last two years.

I'd like to give this place a ZERO star. There is never change. As I type, one machine I started, for $6.75, now says ERROR. I WANT MY MINMO BACK.But GUESS what? THEY NECER ANSWER THE PHONE. NOT A GOOD WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS.
