I looked at five preschools before meeting teacher Bree at Beuna Vista. But as soon as I saw teacher Bree I knew that my search was over. I didn't want a preschool with latest technology or projectors. I wanted a preschool that could embrace my daughter's intellect and values and mold it in such a way so that she becomes a better person in the future. She was always a little quiet and it took her some time to open up. She needed a teacher who would understand her and encourage her to come out of her shell so that she could shine like a star. And teacher Bree, Linda and Sam have made it happen. They are such a fantastic team. They always welcome the kids with a wonderful smile. They treat and care about the kids like their own. The values and the love that my daughter has received from all of them she would have never got it from any other teacher. I have never seen such committed teachers who always strive for the betterment of their students. Thank you for doing so much and for always being there for my daughter. You all rock. ????

When I first was looking for a preschool for my first child, the 2 things that were important for me where, a fun and loving learning environment and the length of the morning session. I found this in Buena Vista Montessori. I am there now for our 5th year and I can't imagine the lives of my children without this lovely place and amazing teachers. The loving and calm teaching environment has been so beneficial for all my 3 kids, all of them are so different, but the teacher always seem to find the right way to teach them. The 4 hours a day was a bonus! It is amazing how much the kids learn, when they go to Kindergarten most of them are reading/writing (small books and simple words) and basic counting/math. Besides this, every week there is a new theme and work stations to go with that. In this fun environment there is singing, sharing, work time with letters, numbers and practical living, story time, lunchtime, clean up time and the best part is that the kids play outside every day (no matter what the weather!!), for which they have a great little play ground. I have recommended this preschool to many of my friends. For all the above reasons, but mostly because it is truly a great safe and warm environment to drop your kids off.....Last but most important, the teachers are absolutely fantastic. So great with the kids, but also so warm and welcome with the parents, which in my opinion is very important if you leave your 3 and 4 year old kids somewhere. During our fourth year at this school, we moved farther away, but still I make the drive out to Buena Vista Montessori, I would not want my kids to miss out on this little piece of heaven on earth!

When we were trying to decide which preschool to send our first child to, it was a hard decision. You read all their websites and try a figure out what it is going to be like for your kid. Is it safe? Are the teachers good? Will they get 1 on 1 attention? What's the place really like? Well, I can say that now having our third child go to Buena Vista Montessori, we definitely made the right decision. The calmness and environment that Teacher Bree and Teacher Linda have instilled is amazing. There is absolutely no chaos. I've never seen anywhere else so many kids be calm and engaged while they are inside from the moment they walk in the door. We wish we could recreate it at home! All our kids learned how to read and write basic words. They were ahead of almost all the other kids when they went to kindergarten. The way they teach numbers and math is intuitive. The singing, the french introduction, geography, it goes on and on and on. The parent orientation they give every year takes you through what and how they teach throughout the year. The teachers are so good with individualized attention to the kids. And the communication with the parents is excellent. We don't know where Bree finds the time to give such detailed updates about our children. Even though we moved while our second child had started, we kept our children there even with the extra drive back and forth twice a day, 3 days a week. And its definitely worth it for us to do the same with our third. I would highly recommend Buena Vista Montessori to anyone. Get on the wait list early!

My son started at Buena Vista Montessori in September 2018, at just shy of 3 years of age. Teacher Bree, Teacher Linda and Teacher Sam have provided uncompromising care and education to him and to all of the children in the class. Our son is learning new concepts every single time he walks into the classroom... from practical life skills to fun facts about space! He gets to learn, be immersed in arts and play outside regularly... a perfect balance! We could not appreciate the one-on-one approach that they have any more than we do already. We truly feel like the teachers know our son well and have customized their approach with him to be the most beneficial and comfortable for his education. This little school is everything that we wanted it to be and I am endlessly grateful that we opted for an intimate program over one of the large preschools in the area. Due shortly with baby #2, I cannot wait to get him on the waitlist for BVM!

I cannot say enough good things about this preschool and Teacher Bree, Teacher Linda and Teacher Sam. 2 of my boys have attended the preschool and my middle child who suffers from anxiety, was not anxious at all! The love and care that these teachers feel for the kids is palpable and because of this, the learning environment is full of little children who feel confident, calm and very happy to be at school. My favourite part is the way in which the teachers greet each child, one by one as they walk in the door. They connect with the child right away and make the child feel so welcome and loved. This preschool is the best, I am so sad that this is our last year with them.

This school year is my daughter's and our family's first experience with Buena Vista Montessori and we have nothing but AMAZING things to say about the program and the teachers. The teachers are incredibly warm and loving. From the first week my three year old felt comfortable being at school without me and looked forward to her school days. The classroom is welcoming, fun and filled with amazing learning tools. The program has created curiosity and excitment in her and I have noticed increased independance at home as well. We are so grateful to be a part of Buena Vista and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for such a program. Teacher Bree has cultivated a magical space of learning and fun!

Buena Vista Montessori is such a positive and engaging environment for children! From the first time I walked into the school, I knew I wanted my Son to attend! The children are constantly building their confidence by learning to complete tasks on their own, which really benefits them outside the classroom as well. The teachers have such a calm, gentle and caring way about them, which sets the tone for the entire classroom. The children are treated with such respect and learn how to respect others as well. There is no doubt in my mind that Buena Vista has been the perfect fit for my Son! Even when he experienced some significant separation anxiety a couple months into the year, Teacher Bree was amazing at working on strategies to help get him through the door as well as settling him after any tough goodbyes. He over came this phase and has been as happy as can be ever since!

We love Buena Vista Preschool! My 3 year old son is a sensitive and shy little guy and he has been welcomed into the most nurturing environment at preschool. The teachers genuinely love him and work tirelessly to support his very specific needs so that he can find success at school. He is positively thriving as he has made new friends, found confidence I never imagined he would have and learned academic and social skills beyond his years already! I was picky about preschools being a Kindergarten teacher and BV has fulfilled all my hopes for my child and more. The academics are 100% perfect for the age group and the teaching styles are respecful, kind, gentle and supportive to all types of learners. I was nervous for my first born to start school (How could any teacher teach my child as well as I would?!) Now I love bringing my life's most precious gift to this little slice of heaven in White Rock. We are greeted by a flower-laden gate, children laughing and running through a garden and smiling teachers who put every teaching best practice to action daily. I'm so pleased to have found this school and can't wait for all my children to have the wonderful early childhood experience of Buena Vista to begin their school journey <3 <3 <3

Buena Vista Montessori is the preschool that you hope to find when you are looking for a place to send your children. Teachers Bree, Linda, and Sam each bring something wonderful to the learning environment. Their instruction and support have provided a strong foundation for the transition to Kindergarten. My child has legible hand writing, a great sense of phoenic awareness, a good understanding of numbers, and (perhaps most importantly) a confidence in their own ability to undertake a variety of tasks (putting on jacket, shoes, pouring drinks, etc.). Equally important is their commitment to teaching empathy and social responsibility - I really appreciate the extra effort that is made to arrange visits to local care homes to sing, as well as making cards for residents at those care homes, and their support for programs that reach outside the community - such as the Filipino Orphanage and local animal shelters. Furthermore during times when I have struggled with challenging behaviours Teacher Bree has kindly listened, supported, and provided resources to help with my confidence moving forward. This preschool is a real gem!

Buena Vista Montessori is by far the best preschool in the White Rock/South Surrey area. The teachers are warm and welcoming and make all of the children feel comfortable and at ease. The curriculum is top notch. It is amazing how much my 3 year old has learned already!
