Reviews of Holiday Inn Express & Suites New Liskeard, an IHG Hotel (Kindergarten)

I was extremely impressed by the quality of service by Don and his team. I was equally impressed by the quality of the room/bathroom. The linen, cleanliness and size of the rooms overall was pleasing. There was a nice comfortable setup for someone who needed to do work at a desk, the lighting was excellent and functional, there was a healthy amount of pillows, towels and even included a body wash product. This may seem trivial, but many hotels do not offer this. The heat was properly set upon entering the room and the curtains provided a good black out in the room.

The rooms are fine. The breakfast was not available for us. The breakfast area was closed at 9:30am. We were not clearly informed about the later upon arrival and it was not shared with us in writing along with the room key like other competitors. When we asked for accommodations at 9:45 we received NOTHING for breakfast except this condescending response "Our kitchen staff is very efficient at putting everything away on time. We will inform our staff to let you know next time." We are wondering if there will be a next time ????. I was very disappointed since I had just mentioned that they were my favorite place to stay when traveling. I am wondering what kind of follow-up I will have after this review ???? and when I ask for my money back.

A quiet, clean and comfortable hotel. Front desk staff were courteous and helpful. With Covid restrictions the bagged breakfast was ok, but the water provided for tea was lukewarm, as well as the coffee. We do understand it can be a challenge in these times but hot beverages would have been nice.

Very friendly staff welcomed us and took care of all our hotel needs. Beds were comfortable and really enjoyed the small suite with the bar/TV area. The only unfortunate part was the lack of a hot breakfast. This was due to the COVID restrictions, which I understand, but I did miss that part in my HIE experience.

Nothing great, the room was decent and the facilities functioned. Based on the amount of noise there are hourly guests do be prepared to not get a full nights sleep from slamming doors alone. The front desk staff are either feeble minded or cant figure out how to wear a mask and speak at the same time, yet insist you wear one.
