I attended Brilliant Star Montessori for three years in the Elementary program and it has been by far my most enjoyable and valuable schooling experience so far, and I wish I could have continued my experience had I not moved cities. Since then, I have experienced public school, and online school, and I still prefer Brilliant Star Montessori by far. I am really grateful for the lessons it taught me and the life-long friends I made. Brilliant Star has taught me independence, independent learning, kindness, and a strong academic foundation that has tremendously helped me in my life already so far. The staff at Brilliant Star are also excellent and could not be more kind, caring, and well-trained. Overall, I really enjoyed my three-year experience at Brilliant Star Montessori! I highly recommend this school!

This school has been absolutely everything we could ask for and more. We were already impressed with the class size, attitude and educational quality of BSM when our daughter started there years ago. When covid started, BSM did everything they could to pivot through the worst parts, and undertook extensive re-modelling for maximum safety when the doors reopened. We had planned to home school before discovering BSM, and the investment in our child has been worth every penny. I cannot recommend this educational facility enough.

Brilliant Star Montessori is not only a school that promotes independence, excellence, confidence, compassion, curiosity, accountability, creativity and resilience in its students, but it is also a community built from the amazing staff and families that attend the school. We have had the privilege of having our own children attend the school over the last several years and have been able to witness the radiant growth in their character because of the positive influence the staff and fellow students have had on them throughout their most formative years. Our children are encouraged to pursue their individual interests in various subjects while adhering to the curriculum in a way that is both fun and exciting! They are so eager to learn and at a pace that is most comfortable and positive to them. And not only do they excel academically, they also gain confidence and independence in themselves and their own knowledge and skills that makes this program worth it alone! We are so grateful for the foundation the Casa and Elementary program has created for our children and are confident that the experience will carry them forward forever.

My son only attended Brilliant Star for half a school year because we moved temporarily to Saskatoon, but his time at the school was a highlight of all his school experiences both in Canada and abroad! The staff and educational approach made him feel welcome and comfortable. He was able to continue his schooling seemlessly midway through the year. Brilliant star didn’t just feel like a school but a community of teachers, children and parents. I wish I could have sent all my children there from the start! I highly recommend the school for parents considering a more compassionate and effective way of educating your children.

My son went to Brilliant Star from grade 3-5, and we were very sad when Julie told us that she was unable to continue past grade 5. What a wonderful school. My son loved the environment, the materials, the teachers, the learning style........ Montessori teaches children to love learning, to explore the world, to respect each other and the environment, to always be trying to be the best person you can be, in a spirit of respect and acceptance and appreciation for each other. Any child lucky enough to go to Brilliant Star is a blessed child indeed.

Our three children have attended both the casa and elementary program over the last six years at Brilliant Star Montessori. By following Maria Montessori's philosophies, the school has inspired a love of learning and in turn fostered confidence, helpfulness and independence. The directors (teachers) at the school follow the Virtues project which is a wonderful teaching tool to encourage the use of virtues in everyday life to help bring out the best in each child. Our children were not only taught the virtues, but practiced them on a daily basis. Consideration, forgiveness, generosity, honesty and kindness are just a few of the virtues (there are 52 of them) that create a caring and peaceful school and help build students who love to learn, but equally important - those of strong character. The directors are incredibly kind, patient and guide the children to be their best. We truly appreciate everything about the school and cannot say enough good things about it.

I have come to know many schools and Montessori schools across the country over the years both professionally and personally and have never found one as tirelessly dedicated to excellence, passion for child-directed learning. I have an MSc in Capacity Building and am in awe at the way the school inspires children to engage with their own learning and tap into inner joys for education. All the staff are all incredibly genuine, professional and great role models for the children. The school space itself is beautiful, inspiring and invokes a home learning familiarity that encourages children to feel more relaxed and focused on inquisitive learning than social dynamics. My only wish is that there was another Brilliant Star Montessori of this caliber on the west coast. Congrats to Julie and all the staff at this school for creating such an inspiring school dynamic!!!

We have had a wonderful experience with Brilliant Star! Both our children have thrived under the guidance of the teachers here. We love that the kids work at their own speed, have opportunities to work and learn from peers both younger and older, as well as the focus on the virtues of kindness and respect. The amazing teachers are so helpful and encouraging and go above and beyond to support the students wherever they are in their academic progress. There is no better place for young children to start off their school experience!

Our children attend this school, and we have had an amazing experience with both the CASA and Elementary programs. We can not say enough good things about Brilliant Star. Their dedication to the students and their families and the experience of the teachers at Brilliant Star makes them the best in the city. We came from another Montessori school in Saskatoon over to Brilliant Star, and it was the best decision we could of made for our family.
