Have been attending the computer networking course for the last 6 months, a very enjoyable experience so far. Teaching staff is excellent, as is the support staff.

(Translated) I was enrolled in the "web design & programming" program in 2014, in this beautiful establishment accessible by public transport, with modern premises and equipment, and welcoming staff. Even the teacher in this program was very sympathetic and mastered his subject. Except that, pedagogy, he did not master it. Teaching beginners almost exclusively through exercise, I didn't find it effective. Without being a teacher, I know that alternating learning methods is adequate when working with a group. Therefore, 6 months later I gave up this great program. Despite the price of more than $ 3500 / quarter that I paid, I did not learn more and better than on the web or in continuing education. In short, very expensive program for little. Même l'enseignant dans ce programme était bien sympathique et maîtrisait bien son sujet. Sauf que, la pédagogie, il ne la maîtrisait pas. Enseigner presque exclusivement par l'exercice à des débutants, je ne trouvais pas ça efficace. Sans être pédagogue, je sais qu'alterner les méthodes d'apprentissage est adéquat lorsqu'on travaille avec un groupe. Par conséquent, 6 mois plus tard j'abandonnai ce beau programme. Malgré le prix de plus de 3500$/trimestre que je payais, je n'apprenais pas plus et mieux que sur le web ou dans les formations continues. Bref, programme très onereux pour peu.

Wish Google can offer negative star option. This so called college deserves much less than one star. There are a lot of reasons why I am writing this review. I have patiently waited until today and gave them so many chances to make it up for their word. Unfortunately if they fool you once they will do it again. You pay 12k for a diploma program and they don't reply to your emails, phone calls, there is no way getting your diploma. I've tried calling them more than a dozen time and the responsible person doesn't get back to me. I am not sure if this review will be a wake up call for them and get back to me but I doubt it. !

Do not go to school here if you take your education seriously. I took the Financial Management program and it was a joke. The teachers did not know what they were doing, the exams were made unprofessionally the day of, and the staff have problems with communication. For half of the classes, we weren’t given the textbooks required for the courses. The teachers had to make photocopies of hundreds of pages because the school was too cheap to buy textbooks for a class of five people, which does not make sense to me considering the tuition is almost $ 14,000. When we DID get the textbooks, which were 15-20 chapters long, we would only cover the first five or so chapters, so there was never any intensive learning of the subjects. The teachers were always changing during the courses, and I was told that two of the three of them quit. The school was always scrambling to find teachers last minute, some of which were still in college/university in a whole other major and knew nothing about the subjects, and one who told us he had been to jail??? When the pandemic began, there was NO communication. I emailed a few people on the staff asking about classes and barely got an answer. At the beginning of the program, I was given a booklet with a few contacts from the school. Turns out half of the people listed were not available or did not work for the school anymore. I was given no updated booklet or contacts. I was also never given access to my account to see my grades and progression, which only half the students in my class had access to. When I finished my program, nobody contacted me about starting my stage, and it took me five or six people, and a few weeks, before I was redirected to someone who could help me. I was also told that there would be an interview/placement process in which I could be placed in my preferred field of work, but all they did was send out my resume to a bunch of companies and wait for me to tell them if I got any offers. I got an offer for an entry-level job as a receptionist (that doesn’t even require an education) and they assumed I would take this for my stage before I told them my decision. I am so upset about this experience and the fact that I still have to pay off my $ 13,700 loan. I regret my enrolment at CDI College.

Too expensive for what they offer. I study webdesign and the former teacher left without notice and even now, months later, hasn't delivered the marks - and the college has offered no alternatives. The new teacher had to take a leave of absence for health issues and the substitute only reads from a known website - which I could have done on my own and for free. And to top it off, even though we're having classes online due to the pandemic and therefore not utilizing their equipment, power or internet, the fees remain the same, no discount was offered, and they didn't even share an Adobe license with the students, which we need to do our work. All they care about is money. EDITED AUGUST 06: The college quickly contacted me and some of our concerns are being solved, as much as possible.

Update : I have been a student here for over a year. During these Covid times, the College adapted quickly for courses to be online. I am grateful for their personalized approach to learning. My set of skills has increased beyond my own expections. I am looking forward to becoming a CDI College Alumni I joined the Network & Internet Security Specialist program and I love it!

HAR FINANCING

Biggest waste of money. When i first started there, the guidance counselor Lauren told me the program would be 13 months and not 15. She told me that an AEC means that if you chose, you can apply to university after, which is absolutely false because universities require a DEC. Absolute waste of time. If i can say i made a big mistake, it was investing myself in this school. 18500$ put in the garbage because at the end of this program, i finally decided i wanted to continue law and pursue my education and be a notary, and now not only did i waste time and money, but i have to go back to 0 to apply to university, because my AEC is not 'valid'. Wouldnt suggest this school to anyone. The teacher AND staff are absolutely amazing, i love them. i just dont like that i was promised that wasnt true.

NOT RECOMMENDED, CURRENT students said. I met a current student in the elevator the other day when I was heading the admission office. She did not recommended it. She said she is coming all the way every morning to study web programming but the administration does not have new course outline for several weeks because their teacher decided not to show up anymore and they have not started any new course for almost 15 days. The administration does not even have their previous scores. Just coming and wasting time on reviewing last courses!!!!!! a weird way waste the students' times. And then when I got to the college and was dying of thirst I asked the staff and they told me there is no water to drink. LOL I got out and ran away from this college as fast as I could.

Does not Matter

Want the honest truth about CDI College? They rather buy 5 flat screen TVs rather than providing water for students and staff members. They lie to students to make them register, to make more money in their pockets. No joke, they literally lie about the programs, what the school offers, what you get out of registering, etc. Student issues and complaints go COMPLETELY unnoticed. Believe me. For a company that makes millions, boy are they CHEAP. Go take a look at the campuses. It’s absolutely embarrassing. They keep staff (aka Monica Jaramillo) that make an abnormal amount of students walk out of their office crying/angry. If as many students that complained about the school on a daily basis wrote their thoughts online about it, the company would go completely down. I’ve witnessed students laugh about the fact that this whole company is a straight up JOKE. If you want to save your thousands of dollars, take my word for it and go else where. I wish there was more I could say but I unfortunately can’t.

CDI College was a great place to attend! I had a kind and patient instructor called Eman. It was always important to her that we understood what was being taught and she didn't mind going over it again and again. She pays attention to detail. She finds alternate ways to bring out what she is teaching so that everyone will understand what is being taught. This is definitely a part of her. She didn't only show interest in our program but she was interested in us individually. She asked us how we were doing and was genuinely interested in our wellbeing. I've been attending CDI College in their Pointe-Claire campus since September 2018. If you have any troubles in deciding what program to go into, I highly recommend scheduling an appointment with Victorya My. Even if you're hesitant and considering to attend elsewhere, it's definitely worth it taking the time to meet with her. Jenny the Financial planner has also been very helpful in terms of financial concerns. She is very knowledgeable and helpful.

I was a teacher at CDI, its a great place to work. Nothing is perfect ! but I had a great time dealing with my co-workers and most of the students were also very nice to deal with. The price is fair you are getting professional training in a much more intimate envirororment which I think is a bonus for any student.
