I can relate to the thought being watched or the feeling of being judged while spending playtime with your grandchildren so when I had first herd of the early on center, those were my exact thoughts, knowing that they work with places like family and children's services and with the programs held there it would normally not have been a place I'd turn to to bring my grandchildren to play the day away at. To my surprise I myself enjoyed the time spent there. Yes you fill out forms giving basic information the first time you visit and sign in and out each time you go but then that is it. It's just like bringing them to an indoor outdoor play yard which is perfect for those rainy days or hot humid days and offers so many things to do and your not watched over by the staff infact I think I had just as much fun as my grandbaby. There are plenty of books for that wind down story time snuggle educational toys, playstations for painting or crafts or afternoon teapartys, other kids for your young ones to learn social skills, fridge and microwave for snack time , outdoor play equipment to burn off energy , programs for learning together, outings if you'd enjoy going with a group with no pressure to participate. And it's free which is always awesome. Honestly it becomes a place even the caregivers can enjoy its relaxed the staff is helpful and dont make you feel like they are hovering there simply there if you need anything. If the early on center has never been a place you'd think to bring hour little ones when thinking of a day out with them my suggestion would be to try it.. it's the total package for a fun day to do pretty much everything kids love and all in one place with no pressure no supervision or the feeling of it and trust me when I say this but you'll never run out of things to do . There is something to accommodate everyone inside and out and again it's totally FREE .. all I gotta say is Thank you early on you've made me a fan.! Maybe I see you there..
Just try not to have fun .. I'd be surprised if you didnt ..
