I love this Daycare and honestly cannot say enough good things about it. My husband and I closely inspected and interviewed almost every daycare in St. Albert FOR MONTHS before we settled on this one. Our son has been attending for over a year and we could not be happier with the staff and the owner. Every day when I pick my son up he talks about how much fun he had at "school", he loves the food, and he is always very happy when we drop him off. Most of the staff have been there since he started and having a low turnover in a daycare is a hard thing to do these days. Part of my job is interviewing and hiring educational assistants to work with special needs students in schools so you better believe that I did a very thorough job in researching a place to send my own child. I asked all the right questions and I know what to look for in people who care about early education. Aleksandra, the owner, is a constant presence and has very high standards for her staff. She is an early education professional with a teaching background and we love that she and her staff bring real learning and fun into the daily routine. The daycare and all the toys are extremely clean, the food is amazing (my son loves Serbian donut day), the daycare itself changes every month with a new theme, decorations and fun activities, Aleksandra is always taking pictures and documenting the learning and activities, and there are multiple opportunities for the parents and kids to get together and celebrate different things throughout the year. Anyone who is looking for a quality daycare for their child should seriously consider St. Albert Montessori School.

This is by far the best daycare/preschool in St Albert. We looked at them all and you never meet the owners of the other daycares, but at Montessori you know exactly who is running the show. Aleksandra is a hands-on owner and it shows. In addition to treating your child with love and respect, she also deals with problems as they arise and provides solutions. So yes, if she is ever heard tooting her own horn, it's well deserved. My husband and I trust her judgment and our son has flourished as a result of the teachers and environment. He is encouraged to participate to the best of his abilities, never pressured, and we are thrilled with his daily accomplishments. He is in the right place and if you are fortunate enough to get a spot, take it!

I would highly recommend this daycare AND this preschool to anyone who wants their child be in a loving, stimulating and healthy environment. I have had 2 children go through the daycare and the preschool and am sad to leave it (my youngest is going to Kindergarten). This is not a daycare, it is an early learning centre and Alexandra and her amazing staff work so very hard to create an environment for the children that is loving and stimulating. Alexandra has created not just a school but a community and I am so proud to have been a part of it. If you are looking for a daycare or preschool this is the place to be. My son has been attending St. Albert Montessori Daycare for 2 years and we are very pleased with the programming, the staffing, the menu plan (the food is well balanced, nutritious and our son enjoys every meal and snack prepared!), and the authentic care and love the staff have for the children. My son has been going to St. Albert Montessori since it's daycare opened in 2015. I initally went to the open house and as soon as I saw their program I signed him up. -The environment is inviting and loving for both children and parents. -They take the time to develop cirricular activities that will cahllenge and develop their minds, manners and personal development. It's wonderful to see hoe much my son has flourished since his time here. -They even have an in-house chef that provides the nutritional requirements needed for proper growth and development and it makes life easier for me since I don't have to think of or send snacks and lunches. My son also attends Preschool at the facility and just as above the teachers, cirriculum and environent are amazing. When I had my second child as soon as she was born I signed her up. I highly recommend this facility.

I will always be thankful for the gentle, caring, nurturing introduction to school my child got thanks to Mrs. King and Mrs. Antonious. I believe it has made my child a better person and a better student. If you are considering this school and are deterred by the ratings, PLEASE READ THE REVIEWS - you will find they are all related to one incident of one teacher being fired and the way the owner handled it. It has nothing to do with the day-to-day experience your child will have at this school. I chose St. Albert Montessori School for its experienced, well trained, loving, and caring teachers and the peaceful environment of the classroom. It was surprising on the days that I volunteered that there were even 22 kids in the room it was so peaceful. Contrary to what some have posted, while not all new and shiny, the school and its equipment are kept clean and in good order and there was variety in the snacks. To me, the fact that everything isn't all new and shiny is a testament to how long this school has been running because these teachers have been doing a successful job of teaching for so many years. I'd rather experienced teachers over shiny toys any day of the week. Please, go to the school, meet the teachers, get a feel for the environment and see if it's a good fit for your child. I'm sure the parents who got together and decided to post those negative comments about the school were taking aim at the owner. However, I'm afraid they forgot to take into account how it affects Mrs. King and Mrs. Antonious, the heart and soul of this little school. I'm sure none of them would have anything negative to say about those two women, and ultimately, that is who your child will be spending the day with, not the owner.

Fantastic program and staff - our son has been registered for over a year now. The current owner Aleksandra is very compassionate and understanding. She seems to be truly involved in the program for the children - not the profit. I have seen her and the staff bend over backwards to accommodate the special needs of families (allergies, support workers, schedules, split families, etc). Aleksandra is very specific about her staff, making sure they are the right fit for the organization as well as meeting the needs of the children. The staff are more like teachers than babysitters. There is a no nonsense approach to the staff, which also trickles down to the children. I have seen a few different daycares and am still impressed with how well all of the children listen to the teachers and follow instructions (unlike the chaos so often seen in other daycares). Everything is very transparent with the daycare. There is an open door policy and tons of information available about what activities the children are participating in. As long as Aleksandra is running this daycare, I would have no hesitation recommending the program to others.

My daughter attended here for abour two years. The staff always communicated with me about what was going on at the school and with my daughter. Aleksandra (the owner) went above and beyond for us every chance that she could. I would highly recommend this preschool/daycare.

We cannot say enough good things about St. Albert Montessori! Both my daughter and son were so loved there! Amazing care providers/teachers, so thoughtful, kind and gentle. They feed the kids a variety of healthy foods and various ethnicities. Their preschool curriculum is top notch; my son could name all the continents at age of 4! My kids are better equipped for elementary school thanks to St Albert Montessori!

I can’t say enough great things about my experience with the St. Albert Montessori School & Daycare. This is not a typical day care. Ms. Aleksandra and her staff are true educators. I visited numerous daycare centers and day homes and there was always something that made me uncomfortable until I found the St. Albert Montessori School. I knew right away during my first visit that this was the right place for both of my children! I was thoroughly impressed by their excellent facility, mentality and most importantly the staff. The teachers are truly amazing! My children have been attending the daycare/preschool for almost 3 months and they are anxious to go to “school” every day. I have seen remarkable improvement and development in both of them since they started. The St. Albert Montessori School & Daycare is truly something special and I feel very fortunate to have my children in such a positive and wonderful environment! THANK YOU!
