Had a great time doing crevasse rescue! Teaching is not a skill all guides are good at it but Jeff was terrific at imparting a wide assortment of knowledge.

I don't leave reviews for anything, but I feel like my experience is compelling me to do so. I signed up for an AST 2 course with Jeff without knowing anything about him or his business so my expectations were vague and unconvincing. I was extremely excited but nervous about whether or not I was ready for the course. Jeff made the course interesting, inclusive, informative but most importantly, really fun. He puts the focus on you to make decisions based on the teachings he is providing and gives you such great input throughout the course. By the end of trip, it felt like a vacation, going back to school and navigating an adventure all rolled into one. Don't hesitate booking any course with Jeff and his staff (R).

I recently took the 3-day crevasse rescue course with Revelstoke Alpine School. The entire course was held outside with zero classroom time, which was a huge selling point for me. The first day we learnt new rope skills and familiarized ourselves with the crevasse rescue equipment. The second day we went up into the alpine and, in a very safe and controlled way, practised hauling each off ledges and building T-slots. The third day we ski toured up to a glacier, roped up and walked on it. It was amazing! Definitely one of my favourite days ski touring. Jeff is an exceptional instructor - you can really tell that he has years and years of experience. We learnt A LOT in those three days and did not feel overwhelmed. Thank you Jeff and I look forward to taking another one of your courses.

I had a great time doing my AST 2 with Jeff ! The course met all my expectations and more. Jeff was really patient and always made sure our questions were answered. Jeff was the perfect guide for a two-week geoscience project in the rugged and remote mountains of Northwestern British Columbia. Jeff trained and assisted scientists get into steep mountainous terrain that others failed to access before. He was a very hard worker and team player, very professional, and had a great sense of humour. I'd highly recommend Revelstoke Alpine School for any mountain excursion!
