The building is a cute old school house that looks amazing on the inside. Modern and clean. The food is amazing!! The drinks are just as amazing. The menu is diverse beef, chicken, fish and vegetarian options. It was hard to choose one thing! Staff were kind and helpful. Service was efficient! 10/10 would recommend!

The FOOD was delicious! The Rainbow salad was refreshing and just enough to make you feel satisfied. The chicken dish with the pea puree, was out of this world. I haven't had that kind of food in a while. The meat was just cook right, very flavorful and moist. Gnocchi was crips on the outside and soft and fluffy in the inside. FOOD was 10/5. They also have a great selection of cocktails as their neighborhood is a local vodka and gin distillery. And the restaurant is in an old heritage school, think high ceilings and big wide windows. Love the old school feel of it. I only gave 4 stars here, as I think they can improve in their service. Maybe because they only have maybe 2 staff + the owner, in taking care of the customers but it makes them v. rushed and not really have that time to have small talk. My experience with the owner as i paid was just subpar. I would have thought he would ask about how we.liked the food and stuff. Im guessing he was just really busy or my expectations are high after staying in a High end hotel in banff. BUT GO and try them. The food is ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My sister (a Revelstoke local) suggested we have brunch here. An epic meal (interesting and fun menu) with great service and a unique location. Only problem was - more food choices than we could eat in one sitting. As such .. we will be back. Highly recommended if you are hungry and are looking for an enjoyable meal.

Been here twice and the team here has delivered. Friendly, helpful (found me a seat at the bar when it was full on all the tables). Bartender was attentive and seemed to know about the food as much as the drinks. Got the Linguine Primavera and it was fresh, well seasoned, light. Will get it again. Beer selection was ok, could have had more drafts but it's not a huge place. Yes, you should try this place. Building is kind of fun in an old-refurbished way.

This place is off of the main strip but make sure you make the trip to eat here. I was looking for healthy options that including vegetarian and they had a wide variety to choose from. The food was delicious and I honestly will go back when given the chance because it was so good. Not to mention its in a old school - which is super cool.

Lovely pub in a historic building. This old schoolhouse makes for a fun and scenic hangout. I’ve been to Jones Distilling next door, but Old School Eatery and their new sidewalk patio are a great little hangout. Brunch from 9am-2pm and the options were good. The fried chicken is A+! Try it in a chicken sando or with chicken & waffles. Great selection of craft beers on tap. Great, friendly, knowledgeable service and inviting atmosphere for both locals and tourists. Definitely will be back!

3 of us enjoyed lunch here yesterday and it was incredible. We shared a few items and they were all delicious, filling and creative. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food and portion sizes. The fried chicken sandwich was awesome (definitely get the Korean hot sauce)!! We just missed breakfast (but its served late - until 1:00!) so we will be back soon to try out that menu. Service was great, food was very fast and the views are incredible. So excited to have a new place in town and thrilled that its so good.

I most definitely wanted to enjoy this eatery, the school house building itself is interesting - but the food gets a failing grade. I ordered the gnocchi and it was poorly made, too large, and lacked any flavour even though it was dyed red with beets. Would suggest elevating the plating as well, using a black and white spiralled patterned plate reads as kitschy and cheap, and distracts from the food itself.

We arrived in Revelstoke after an 11 hr drive through the snow from Vancouver, and were fortunate to find this warm and welcoming eatery! We didn’t have a reservation, but there was room for us at the bar (the place was packed- if you can, make a reservation) the bartender whipped up some excellent cocktails, and all the food we ordered was tasty and unique- definitely not standard pub fare.

We enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The house greens salad was phenomenal and served in generous portions. Polenta fries were quite tasty and unique. I thoroughly enjoyed the bavette steak but the hassleback potato was mediocre at best. Dessert was great too and the bartender James was providing excellent drinks and service the entire time.

Cute little spot open early am to midnight! Dinner is an interesting mix with food inspired from multiple regions. Highly recommend the Brussels sprouts, mussels and duck for dinner. For dessert, the torte comes with caramel popcorn which creates a unique twist on a traditional dish. Good variety of cocktails and beverages. Looking forward to tasting the brunch menu on our next visit!

Unfortunately the food just wasn't good. The rainbow bowl salad was saturated with dressing so that all the ingredients tasted the same, even the feta, and had the same fairly slimy texture. The chicken puttanesca sauce was watery and the orzo was swimming in it, and also had an unpleasant slimy texture as a result, and the tomatoes were few and far between. The chicken was fine though. The burger was OK but let down by the bun, which was flimsy and greasy because it was brioche. The Caesar salad was good though. One other small thing - when we gave our drinks order the server didn't ask my 11 year old what she wanted, and didn't ask her about drinks when she took the food order either.

Very cool location by the river! They just opened after Christmas 2018 in an old school in Revelstoke. Hence the name!! The servers are great and accommodating. The food. Spectacular! We enjoyed the catfish & chips which came with homemade slaw and tartar sauce that complimented the fish perfectly. We also had the buttermilk chicken sandwich with salad, the chicken had this Korean sauce on it, omg! There was not a long wait for our food to come out, and it was hot (except for my fries, but they brought me fresh ones eventually so it's all good). The table beside us had the buttermilk chicken Benny which they said was heavenly! It looked sooooo good!! So now we are wanting to go there for breakfast one day. Also looking forward to having their fried green tomato appetizer as well (appies available after 3pm). I love fried green tomatoes!! Will have to stay overnight just to try what looks and sounds good on their menu. They are 3 unisex washrooms that are very clean. I didn't see any handicapped entrance so you might want to call ahead and check that first if you need it. All in all I highly recommend this place! I know it's new, I hope they can keep it to this high standard all year round!! Go here!!! Fyi, The food looked sooooo good when we got it that I forgot to take a picture! Really!!!

A wander through Revelstoke to look at the river and mountains brought us to what we thought was a heritage school. The concrete steps led us up to what turned out to be an amazing restaurant. Polenta fries. Beet salad. The rockfish with perfect accompaniments. Everything was perfect and delicious. I would also like to note that they have done a great job with distancing during this time. I look forward to another meal here.

Kudos to this place. I had the beef burger (11/10) and my partner had the pork tacos which fell apart in the mouth. We were sat next to the owner, Chris, who was an absolute legend to talk to. He even cleaned up after my partner got a little excited over the brunch menu and spilt her drink everywhere. Not to mention the bartender made killer cocktails. We left with a wobbly boot, talking about how good this place is. We'll be back for breakfast this morning and dinner again tonight.

A very interesting location being in an old school. Looks great. However the experience was just middling. There was a very long have between ordering, getting appetizers and dinner. Unfortunately, it felt too long. The food was good but not memorable. The menu looks very intriguing but unfortunately all in our party agreed it was just ok. I hope they can improve on there speed of service to make this a better destination for dinner as it shows promise.

I wouldn’t say it is my favourite place. The fries and polenta fries were fine. I wouldn’t grab any burgers there ... maybe a bowl. The drinks s did look good. And the Brussels sprouts were the highlight for sure !

Very nice, high ceilings, “feel the love” atmosphere even with the old piano, AND good food and service. Do not recommend the kimchee Reuben (which did not adequately replace sauerkraut but other was good, even nice touches like pomegranate on the salad! Good service, thank you!

Everything about my experience here was Awesome!!! The atmosphere was classy but fun. The food was fantastic with a menu that made it difficult to decide with so many tempting options. I finally opted for the duck breast but shared the seafood bouillabaisse my girlfriend. Both were so good we actually went back the next day for brunch. With the "Chicken and waffles" and a very tasty "Caesar" for brunch we definitely have found our new favourite restaurant in Revy!!!!

Food was great, wait-staff were friendly. Being an OLD building there is a smell that is offputting at first but otherwise it was a neat place to dine. Outdoor seating was available and we would have, however, it was pouring rain when we got into town. Would definitely order from here again. (Pictured is the Thai Beef Salad)

Was worried they'd lean on the gimmick, but nope, the food presentation and flavors have the personality to match the cool historic setting. Bavette steak is a tasty, creative change from the cactus club/keg fare, at similar price levels. The cheesecake was excellent. Firing on all cylinders when it got busy without missing a beat, a sight to behold. Acoustic ceiling panels kept the tiled room juuust on the right side of "lively". Top spot in Revelstoke!

GREAT FOOD AND UNIQUE ATMOSPHERE Menu wasn't huge but it had a diverse list of options. The drinks menu was also limited but did have something for everyone to enjoy at our table. The prices were reasonable, 18-30 for !most menu items. Ribs were pretty good but not incredible, the orzo was great, and the fish in a banana leaf was very good too. Feels like you are sitting in a large gourmet kitchen with high wainscotting and large white subway tiles. Food came out hot and the staff were patient and friendly. This place does get busy so be sure to book a reservation ahead of time!

We were traveling and wanted to treat are selves to a great meal . So we hoped onto Google and searched through menus online . We found old school Eatery . We loved pretty much everything on the menu but I wasn't aloud to order it all ????. We ordered online but once I got there I wished I could have eaten in there restaurant it was beautiful inside . The staff was warming and there was a great atmosphere. too bad for these restrictions of the in house dinning ???????? when we travel next time we hope we can dine in ! Thanx for a great meal !

As implied by the name, the restaurant is in a refurbished old school. The renovation perfectly captures the beauty of the building. The food and drinks were tasty and reasonably priced. Definitely worth a stop the next time you find yourself in Revy!
