Having moved from Calgary and what I considered, the worst school ever and that is saying a lot as I used to teach high school. We arrived Red Deer having sorted the school through the Catholic School Bosrd. The Principal asked to meet with us (parents/student) which I think is a very wonderful idea. He got to know our daughter on a one to one basis, her interests etc. She had an assessment with another teacher for French to determine if she would be placed in immersion. She quickly settled into school life and made wonderful friends. Would highly recommend to anyone.

The Sports teams are amazing and I'd say some of the best in Red Deer, Our Band division is i'd also say is one of the best in Red Deer. We have some of the greatest learning opertunities, for example, a high school level Wood shop class, where you can make dog houses, sheds, and so much more!The teachers are so good, even though I may not like some of them, that is bound to happen with everyone at every school. There are some flaws though, for example, students aren't allowed to use their phones, to make up for this the school has to pay for a lot of chromebooks, instead of letting the students with phones, use them. There is also a new rule to which, students only have 15 minutes outdoors if the temperature hits 25 degrees celsius. I have been in this school for 9 years and this has never been a problem, I suggest that if you shouldn't be going outside in colder temperatures, that the teachers provide a space for said kids. Overall this school is a very good school and I haighly recomend you send you're kids here (not to mention it's french immersion so that's something your child can pickup).

this school is terrible the teacher bully the kids and make fun of them if they are not smart and there class is so vague and so boring i know my name is for kids but i am in high school my dad picking his nose is more educating then this school. you will also probably get bullied

It's a good school where you learn wha youre supposed to and theres lots of opurtunities, I've also been here since grade 1-8 and i've never met a teacher that doesnt care about education, but some teachers i dont see eye to eye with, it's still pretty good

I think everything is great here! Everyone is kind, the teachers are caring and the students learn something new at least within a couple of days. All the sports teams are competitive, but no to competitive.
