One of the best places I've had the pleasure of shopping huge inventory lots of friendly staff. Little things matter like there displays working fireplaces detailed countertops displays so u can see how it's going to look. Oh and don't forget to get a free bag of popcorn at the door. Yum.

Went into kent and i had a question and i seen a group of employees standing around talking, so i walked up and they seen me and walked way. So i followed one of the employees and finally caught up to them and asked my question and i have never dealt with such a rude person in my life. Definitely the ladt time i go there, and im going to tell everyone i know not to go there. Terrible customer service

Has everything you need and more. Better than home Depot. Same idea..over priced but they do have more selection. I go in and just walk around and check out prices and compare them to online before I purchase. Friendly staff.

Good spot to go for home building supplies and the like. Only downside is they don't carry much of the same tool brands that I'm used to with Home Depot. Select DeWalt power tools, but no Ridgid or Milwaukee.

It's a local hardware/construction material store with a big chain feel. Staff are great to deal at the project desk and the prices and services are very competitive. Huge selection in store and a critical contributor to local community development.

The staff were knowledgeable in root propagation and were very helpful overall. Kent is also a dog friendly store which helps during warm weather errands around town. Their garden centre has a good variety of perennials and annuals.

The Stellarton store is conveniently located. Always a good place for odd bits and pieces of hardware I occasionally require. Prices are about average for the area with the key being to shop the sales. Floor staff is friendly and always quite helpful. I did have one senior cashier that was a bit abrupt when I asked to have my phone number listed for the purchase of a yellow plastic lawn chair. Well trying to explain my preference she just cut me off ,handed me the receipt and blurted " OK BYE ! " I really hope she needed to go to the washroom or something because there was no line of customers behind me.

Their staff is lazy, they mostly do noy have any idea what they are talking about. Always on their phones. Hard to find any help to find things. They have a shortage of crown mouldings. In the summer i almost every time had to load all my own mulch bags...and if i bought in bulk wait atleast 30 mins or so for the tractor driver. Kent is horrible.

Went in to buy a lawn mower. Four employees walked by never asked if we needed help. Stood there almost 15 minutes, nothing. Went across the street to the competitor and got assistance right away. Customer service has suffered since it became Kent, most employees look like they are extras for the Walking Dead. Very low morale. The only time I plan on going back is if the item isn't available at the competitor's. I hate to leave a bad but review, so I'll leave on a good note. Thanks to Aaron at Home Hardware for the amazing customer service. You went above and beyond!

Central Supplies was my favourite store. Clearly Kent hates everything that made the store unique and a great experience. They would rather fill the aisles with mess, move stock around without moving signage, and generally ignore customers. And every time I do go in, there are dogs there. I DO NOT want to wait at a checkout behind BARKING DOGS. Kent sucks. Kent is going to ruin the reputation Central Supplies had. Kent is clearly only here for however much money they can get out of Pictou County. Kent - you suck!

I was just turned down at the checkout after gathering all my products up from all over the New Glasgow store because my client was going to give her credit card info to the cashier over the phone. Apparently th!ey will not accept this method of payment even though it is good enough for most online sales. I guess I will shop at Home Hardware or Castle from now on as they both still accept this method of payment. Your stores are overpriced anyway and todays cashier was extrenly rude! You could give Valeeie a lesson on customer service!????

I have been shopping at Central for 15 years and having lived in several places across the Maritimes, these guys were the best of the best. Project desk team is amazing, store staff pretty great too. Seeing Kent take over has me a bit nervous. I have used the Kent store in Truro a fair bit, and that store seriously pales in comparison to the team in Stellarton. I hope the Kent guys are humble enough to recognize the success formula that Central has proven and keep it going!

When I got to the door the guard said to follow the arrows and please follow the social distance rule. When I got the the isle there were two people having a social chat going the wrong way. I went down the next isle figuring that when I came back they would be done. They were still there so I waited at the entrance to the isle. They finally moved and as I was about to go down the isle another just barged in front of me. While I was looking for the paint that I needed one of the paint area clerks came down the isle with a customer the wrong way. I said excuse me but why am I following Kent's guidelines and you an employee are not. She was about 4 feet from me and told me that I needed to be 6 feet away from them. I did complain to the manager because what the employee did was very disrespectful. I have spent alot of money at that store over the last 6.5 years and I do not appreciate being treated that way

Always went to Kent when shopping in Truro. When they bought out Central Supplies we got one in New Glasgow. I always thought they had a better selection of merchandise than Central, prices that are average but they have a much better bargain bin section. Staff are friendly and helpful but do your research as some seem to be kids without a lot of experience. Only gripe is the project desk is under-manned and the wait can be slow to get looked after.

The project desk guys are wonderful to deal with! Always so insightful and supportive of my project endeavors. However I have driven out to Kent's numerous times which is about an hour away from my house numerous times just to show up to the store and they're out of stock or they're doing inventory on a Saturday night and did not update their Google information or anything on social media to inform the public that they will be closed at 5:00 on Saturday. This was extremely frustrating.

A good sized hardware store close to my house, so I go here a lot for home and garden stuff. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Surprisingly good prices on furniture. Got a bed and mattress for the spare bedroom for super cheap.

Went to kent to purchase a home bin doctor station 3. Customer service checked and saw there were 5 in the store. The staff was helpful to help me look for them,but none to be found. So I went to canadian tire and bought it there. Very inconvenient when the computer says one thing, and when you start hunting for it, absolutely none....
