We had a great stay. We had a family suite. The room was a great size and the kids were thrilled about the bunk beds. Everything was very clean and there were good COVID-19 protocols in place (pool and gym are by appointment only and you pick up a bagged breakfast from the desk the night before).

Sept 2021. We had to be moved from the first room as the bathroom had not been cleaned, staff was able to accommodate us very quickly though. It's your usual chain hotel, over priced for what it is in my opinion but that is just my opinion. The pool was nice for our visiting niece. Very impressed that they allowed dogs at the hotel. The best hotel experience on our 2 week vacation! The front desk staff (Chloe & Morgan) saved us after we had made an error in our booking. Without them, we would probably be sleeping in our car. I stopped here after getting caught up in bad weather. I work between Victoria BC and Sydney NS and racked up top tier status with every hotel chain. I care about a comfy bed, a hot shower I can actually stand under (6’2”) and an HVAC system with full manual control. I showed up without a reservation and was fully taken care of. This location is better than average compared to many other Holiday Inn’s. I can only rate it 4 stars because no other Holiday Inn is better than the amazing location on Blackfoot Trail in Calgary. A key downside at this location is Boston Pizza is a 3-5 min drive away and there’s no safe way to get there by walking. The two business should partner together and come up with a solution because it can enhance the experience for guests and drive some additional revenue.

Very courteous, professional and friendly staff. Very quiet Hotel with a wonderful pool area, which I didn't use, but looked in on. Room was well appointed, clean and spacious. We loved the room very much but the housekeeping practices are below standards. Getting our bed changed and made and bathroom cleaned seems to be above their pay grade. Great service, they even offered to open the pool after hours if there were too many people there before closing. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and renovated. The bathrooms didnt appear to have exhaust fans which was odd but not a big deal. I would definitely stay again.
