If you plan on standing up for your child and their mistreatment, DO NOT ENROLL THEM HERE. The VP Stephanie Richards and grade 1 teacher Mrs. Conway adult bullied us as parents standing up to incompetent practices. Mrs Conway did not follow our daughter's IEP (a legal document) and do not want their incompetency leaked. They refused recorded communication for our later review regarding our daughter's best interests. Mrs. Conway told us to go to hell after bringing up her unprofessional attitude in our meeting. We told them we would be switching her schools. Her reply was "Thank God". Remember, she's Catholic. Or did she have to pretend so she could get a job? I'm not joking, this is serious unprofessional and unethical conduct behind their fake personality. So we left the school, after Mrs. Conway SLAMMED the door on us. Yes this is a teacher who slams doors. She has a definite temper with no understanding for children with special needs. But they did not let things go. They have reported to the Durham Region Children's Aid Society that we have no food in our house. They also told us that our child smells (of a natural mixture of lavender and thyme in her hair to treat head lice), and that we swore in front of a bunch of kids (our meeting with them was in a closed room). They also called the police. If you ask me, this school should be under investigation for ADULT BULLYING. How can they teach a 0% tolerance for bullying in school if they are going to bully parents? This is not a school run by actual practicing Catholics. The stress of this situation has hindered our home businesses and therefore lost income to care for our daughter and family. By the way, the school board doesn't believe anything bad could ever happen in a Catholic School, and therefore everything bad about their schools never happens. They told us many many lies. Say 'no' to this school.

Reviewing this simply to counter Graham's atrocious post. I went to school here for years. My elementary school closed and I went here for almost a decade. The staff here were fantastic. I was a troubled kid and while the past principals sometimes weren't the best, the school ensured I got my education. It worked with my parents when I was "exceeding" the curriculum, and again when I was a "troubled" student. Most of the teachers went above and beyond. This school is definitely not the drama-centered school that Graham makes it sound like - unless that's somehow changed in the last decade.
