This is the place to go for premium quality pre-school, not just daycare, that will prepare your little one for long term success. I would happily drive across the city to get my son here. It's worth it. Having enrolled our son in 3 different daycares and interviewed at least a dozen more in 3 years, I can absolutely say that Alpha's Discovery in Oakville is by far and away the best we've seen. It's on a completely different level from anywhere else we've been. My wife and I are both employed in higher education and STEM fields, and we were very impressed with the way that Alpha's has a real curriculum and strives to teach kids valuable lessons that give them a head start and set them up for success in school. Shannon and her team take Early Childhood Education seriously; they develop lesson plans, do science experiments, teach art history and multiculturalism to toddlers and preschoolers--it's really amazing. The level of care, attentiveness and responsibility is outstanding (e.g., actual COVID precautions and screening procedures) and hours/pricing are still very competitive. I strongly encourage you to call them and find out for yourself.

Alpha's Discovery Kids just won the #1 in best daycare category for the second year and Platinum Reader’s Choice award and I can't imagine a more deserving daycare and preschool. Ms. Shannon and her team not only run a top notch custom STEAM educational program, they have created an environment that is warm, creative, enriching and feels like a second home for our kids. When I pick them up at the end of the day my kids actually say "mummy I LOOOVE school!". Can't beat that. Highly recommend!

When my daughter was ready to start day care, and I was ready to go back to work (I am a shift worker, my husband works 9-5), we started looking into daycare. We initially were looking into Montessori Schools; in which we applied & got accepted, but since my daughter wasn't walking yet, they couldn't support her needs. Thus, we were left to find another temporary daycare. I struggled with finding a place that would accommodate my (and my husband's) work schedule. Then someone on an Oakville Facebook group suggested Alpha Discovery. And they were able (and willing) to work with me and my schedule. We have been there just over a year, and I am so grateful that we have found this little gem just off of Ford Drive. The teachers are welcoming and pleasant. The day care is organized and accommodating. They have mastered all the policy and protocols with covid. My daughter actually washes her hands better then some adults. The food caterer is great, based on my daughter's daily consumption of all her food. We are provided with detailed accounts of her daily activities, learning, toileting, sleeping, and pictures. They ensure the kiddos go outdoors; and they have a play structure that accommodates exercise. But I think the most notable part of this daycare is that my daughter is excelling in areas of cognition. From counting, to alphabet, to dressing, to manners, to speech, to different languages, to relating to peers; I can't say how much I enjoy watching her bloom into a fun loving toddler. The activities they do are age specific, and they are constantly engaging the kiddos in crafts, math, activities, play, pretend, and creative thinking. She recently came home, knowing the difference between big and small (and you can be sure that I didn't teach her that...). I would strongly recommend this day care, and I am happy that I found it by chance...that being said, this temporary daycare now has become a permanent very supportive structure in our lives. One could say, an addition to our family.

Location and the facilities are great. But, I will say there is a lot of turnover at this centre and staffing changes. For a while in the summer they were relying on supplies/temps. Parents are often out of the loop of things as well. The main teachers and Shannon are very nice, it's just challenging not being able to speak with your kid's teacher, and get updates. We moved to a daycare which provides regular direct communication with teachers, which is just so lovely. Even if it's a 1-min update on their day, it's treasured. Also if you are a parent with a variable work schedule, they require set pick up and drop off times, which was actually our main reason for switching! Can be extremely inconvenient circling the parking lot for 20-30 min until you can go get your own kid. And same for dropping them off. It was just not the right fit for us, felt very excluded and didn't feel like a very warm environment. A little too rigid for us.

We love Alpha Discovery! I have twins, one with special needs, and the staff was always accommodating and open to making adjustments for my child. I've seen a huge improvement over the past few months, since they've been there. Ms Shannon is always willing to talk on the phone about concerns and really shows that she cares about the kids. The food choices are healthy and they get plenty of outdoor activity. This is not just a daycare, the kids are also learning new skills, such as baby signing, gross motor and social skills. Highly recommend if you are looking for a high quality program for your kids with an empathetic and caring staff.

My son has been going to Alpha's since July when he was a year and 4 months old and we absolutely love it. I can't say enough good things! Alpha's is so much more then just a daycare, he has learnt SO much. I'm always blown away by the different, creative activities they do with the kids on a daily basis. The food is very nutritious and the center is clean. Teachers are like family, loving and caring. Shannon is very much involved and takes the time to address any concerns and work through them with me. Always looking out for the kids and wanting the best for them. If you're thinking of Alpha's, know that your child will be in very good hands.

When we drop off our little girl we know she’s in great hands. Alpha Discovery Oakville provides care and support. The teachers help our daughter grow and develop and navigate life when she’s happy, sad, frustrated or mad. They engage with her and send photos and updates of her daily adventures. The team at Alpha Oakville is friendly, efficient, organized and absolutely engaged with the parents and children. We know it isn’t always easy, in fact super challenging at times yet they show up everyday with a smile. The children are happy and it shows. I really like alphas discovery day care at the Oakville location, Ms. Shannon Speers is a great supervisor and my experience working with her was great. The day care is very organized and the environment is cozy and welcoming because of the friendly workers. Working with Ms. Janine and Ms. Nicole taught me many things and the experience with them was awesome. Ms. Janine and Ms. Nicole also keep the place organized and its very easy to work there. Moreover, Ms. Shannon is a great leader and is very easy to work with, she was very nice and understating.

I can not be happier and thankful for all the efforts of the staff and teachers to my son. He knows how to share and play along with other kids which are never happened before. He becomes an independent and way happier child. The most important thing is he loves his school and can not wait to go to school every day (even on weekends ????).
