This is a really lovely school with small classes and great teachers. It's also a very affordable private school option in Toronto, which isn't easy to find (we can't all afford to pay $25K a year after all). I encourage any parents in the Toronto area to take a close look at this school. My son's reading and writing have improved dramatically in the 10 months since we transferred him in, and he is really benefiting from the experience there in many ways - with regular programs such as skating, swimming, chess, karate, and science clubs on top of an already enriching educational program, he's having a great time. Highly recommended.

The Laurel School is simply the best, most caring and attentive school administration you will find! They see children as they are and will find creative ways to engage them and help them develop cognitively and physically. Both our son and ourselves are so happy he's a part of the Laurel School. He runs in with a huge smile every morning, and leaves with a cheery wave every afternoon!

I must have visited 9 other pre schools with my wife before deciding on this one for our little guy. It's a very clean facility, staff is always smiling and the curriculum is outstanding. Can't wait to send my other little guy here once he's old enough!

Our child has been at this school for over 3 years and she loves it. The staff and teachers work really hard and are very caring. The children receive a lot of attention and are academically challenged and excel because of the people who work and teach there.

Our daughter started at Laurel in the summer camp. We were absolutely blown away at the rate of which she was learning so we enrolled her into the school program. We could not be happier here, the teachers and staff give so much attention and care to each student. Our daughter is so excited to go to school every morning. This is a great school. I enrolled my twin boys here for one semester before moving to Calgary and I was amazed at how fast they progressed. From the teaching to the physical activity and healthy lunch programs you can't beat this school. If I am ever back in Toronto I would enroll my boys again, they just loved it there.

We looked everywhere for the right school for our eldest son and first tried Laurel for one summer camp. We quickly found our boy, who did not previously enjoy school, coming home excited about learning. The small class sizes and the genuine care and attention provided at Laurel were instrumental in his development. Laurel helped him during a difficult time to develop the confidence, love of learning, and skills he needs to not only do well in school, but to excel far beyond his years. There are many schools with impressive facilities, curriculum and methodologies, but what set Laurel apart was how sincerely they cared about our child and how committed they were to helping him grow and succeed. We’re beyond satisfied with our experience at Laurel. We’re grateful.

We couldn't possibly be happier with The Laurel School! Mrs Hearn is a phenomenal person and teacher. Her guidance with our daughter has led the way for sooooo much development in our daughter's abilities she is reading well beyond what we would have thought to be normal along with many other progressive results. Mrs Kindos is an awesome person, she is very comforting and accommodating. The entire team at The Laurel School exceeds expectations in everyway. With the new upgrades coming into play, im sure this school will continue to be a true gem. Thank you!

My daughter attended Laurel for pre-school and absolutely loved it!! It is a beautiful new school...the hallways, floors, bathrooms, toys, equipment, desks all brand new...sparkling clean! Small class sizes and great student to teacher ratio! The teachers are super caring, and ever so friendly. I felt that they treated my daughter like their own! My daughter just loves all the care and attention she received! Great curriculum and balance of learning and playing. Lauel also offers an amazing super healthy and delicious lunch program with morning and afternoon snacks as well. Principal and staff created a warm and comfortable environment for my daughter to learn, play and grow! Can't say enough good things about the Laurel school!

My sons attended the Laurel School's summer camp program in July/August 2020 and had the best experience! The staff were very caring and welcoming and the boys felt comfortable from day 1. They came home everyday excited about what they had learned and looking forward to going back the next day. They were very sad to leave at the end of the summer but will definitely be back next year. I highly recommend The Laurel School - students have individualized attention, the staff are excellent and they make learning fun!

The Laurel School is a wonderful school. The staff is very caring, mindful and focused on each child needs. The school director, Mrs. Kindos, is amazing and develops a personalized learning program for each student, what is incredible. The best private school in North York. My children have been at Laurel for four years and we couldn't have picked a better school for them. it gives me peace of mind to go to work knowing my children are not only learning and thriving but also that they are cared for and loved. The staff are all warm, welcoming, and truly care about the well-being of the children. My children adore Mrs. Kindos, Ms. Nikki, Ms. Alex, and all of their teachers at school. Our experience at the The Laurel School has been nothing but amazing . Our daughter joined the school in preschool and she is now in Grade 2 and still attending the school . Mrs. Kindos, the school principal , is a great educator. The school’s mission is to help children grow and become capable and confidant learners. Not only does the school aim at developing the students’ academic skills , but also they pay a lot of attention to their mental and emotional well-being. The communication between home and school is great ! Our daughter is so happy to be at The Laurel . Her progress is excellent . Her math and language skills are more advanced than kids of her age. My children have improved tremendously in reading and writing during their time at Laurel. We have been with Laurel School ever since they did those wonderful renovations. Every little detail was well thought out and both the owners and staff take great pride in running it. It’s a small family run school which I especially like because I feel very safe leaving my son there. I know the friendly and loving staff will take care of him throughout the day. Laurel School has a fantastic healthy lunch option with two snacks each day which he has no issues eating. Laurel School sends updates on what your child is doing each day along with photos so you can see what is going on. Now during covid, Laurel School has been taking all the necessary precautions when students attend the school. The class sizes are small which is a bonus during these times.

Great school, super friendly and kind staff. Location is super clean and nicely renovated. The outdoor playground is huge and properly fenced. My daughters loved the school and all the teachers. We had to leave due to relocation, however we will go back if we return to North York. Bonus: They had DAILY zoom classes during the peak of the COVID pandemic which was great and help kids stay connected while staying home.

The best gift any parent can give their children is a good foundation. We are thrilled to have found an environment that is allowing our daughter to flourish and preparing her for her future education, while at the same time providing her an opportunity to learn & discover. The staff and teachers is one of the best. The care and attention they give to our daughter by far exceeds any of our expectations. Our daughter has truly blossomed over the past year academically and socially. What more can a parent ask for? My son is currently enrolled in SK at The Laurel School and we couldn’t be happier. He wakes up eager to get to school in the morning and he comes out with a big smile each afternoon. The staff are AMAZING and the school has a warm, happy energy. We first tried our local public school for JK and switched mid way through last year to TLS. Best decision we ever made. My son has flourished here.

A really great center that is extremely focused on the well-being of our son with above and beyond COVID protocols for extra safety, including a UV system in the ventilation, a huge focus on early foundational learning, real organic food meals and amazingly caring staff that go the extra mile. They clearly care about the kids first and that's why we are so happy to give 5 stars.

Wonderful school and staff! We loved our preschool experience. The facility is clean, the meals are healthy and nutritious , lots of activities combined with play and academia and the principle and staff are caring. Would recommend this school to anyone looking for above and beyond care. Thank you Laurel!

The school has made our son’s educational experience in such a positive and incredible way. We joined the school when our son was in pre-school, and he is currently in JK now. The entire staff has always been helpful, joyful, and welcoming, which absolutely makes our family feel at ease and confident. Our son has learned many new things since attending the school, and he continues to progress in all aspects, especially his reading. The school’s program truly helps with my son’s growth and independence. They are thorough, genuine, professional, and, most importantly, loving towards their students. Its a great place, my son went there for few months and we moved out of the city otherwise would loved to continue him at The Laurel. The personal attention by the principal and the staff was amazing. I wishi i can find equally good school in my current city in GTA.

My son went to preschool and loved it. The snacks provided were healthy, the school was clean at all times. Ms Kindos and Ms Natalija are excellent teachers and they played an important role in helping my son develop fine motor skills.

I considered placing my children here. Dropped in for a visit. Small class sizes, friendly children and teachers. Secretary was friendly and helpful. When I went for a second look, none of the teachers were the same. Staff turnover very concerning. There was no principal or vice principal in the school both times so I couldn’t ask about it. Too bad... at first visit I was so tempted to enroll.
