Love this island! Went for week vacation just to explore a new piece of Earth and absolutely loved it. Many options for hiking, walking, enjoying beaches, wildlife - especially birds or seals. Nature around is beautiful, spectacular views of the cliffs. Option to take ferry to other islands or just hang out with locals in the bar.

Went there with friends, very natural and rustic. In terms of activities, you have lots of thing to do. Recommend to visit early in the morning, so you can spend the whole day. I liked the ferry journey and also the sea food was great!!

Recommended: book the ferry tickets beforehand (both ways) and get to the terminal early! I think we got there an hour and a half early. If you are planning on camping, I would recommend earplugs if you aren't a deep sleeper. It was foggy there when we went (mid July) and they have a loud fog horn that goes off every 15-20 seconds. Don't let that discourage you though! The Hole in the Wall was absolutely the best 2 days of our 2 week trip. I believe we were on the cliff's edge and one night we sat and ate dinner while watching seals and whales. It was absolutely beautiful! Those earplugs were a life saver though!

Approximately 140 sq km in size this relatively small island has big heart; most of the 2400 or so residents live on the east coast of the island while the west side is more rugged. Paradise in the Bay of Fundy this wonderful island is well worth the visit.

It's a quiet island with a small population of about 2,400 but it's a picturesque, rugged island with incredibly steep cliffs on either end with some incredible beaches such as Seal Cove and Deep Cove. Wonderful place to spend a day, or an overnight. Self contained with a gas station, pharmacy and small grocery store you can find pretty much anything you'd need.

It's a wonderful place where you can enjoy the nature! I go to this island very summer and I have never been disapointed. The fog is beautiful and there is many trails to hike. The water is normaly very cold but there is a lot of beach glass to pick up! If your visiting, you must see the 3 lighthouses on the island. Specially Swallowtail lighthouse which there is a guided tour. I sugest checking out the various gift shop because they usually sell art made by artist from the island. Also, you should visit the museum which is very nice and educational!

My wife and I have been there a number of times, every time, it's the same thing, every time, it's different. We always went with Whales and Sails for whale watching, but that sailboat no longer operates. And we stayed at Hole in the Wall campground. Loved Basil (RIP) and his wife. Since then we have stayed at Castalia Marsh Retreats. Great cottages and very comfortable. We are planning on going again. I'm the type that just likes to relax when I'm on vacation...this is the perfect place. If you like shopping and action, move on. If you like nature, hiking and friendly locals, do not pass this one by. And yes, if you camp close to the coast, whales might keep you awake, it's happened to us.

Visited the island two years ago now and what a beautiful place to visit. Not a very big island but everyone was nice that we met. Stayed at a Airbnb and toured the island. Some beautiful scenery. Not much there for food/restaurant options unfortunately. Covid did a number on them.
