I'm fortunate enough to have one (soon to be two) of my kids go here. This school is truly wonderful. The staff go miles beyond what I had considered normal and I'm eternally grateful for it. There is a growing emphasis on outdoor education here which I am very pleased about - I've gone on multiple nature walks with the kids to see the Kokanee salmon spawning on Redfish Creek. They now have a beautiful outdoor classroom as well I can't wait to see in full operation. One footnote - There is talk of extending the K-5 to include grade 6 and possibly 7 so that is something parents should know - especially if they aren't particularly enthusiastic about sending their children to middle school in Nelson.
