The York School is very well organised one. They exactly know how to give opportunities to their students and one in one personal consultation to bring out the best potential career choice. According to each student’s requirement the school provides everything possible according to their system. My daughter has graduated in 2020. She became more independent & found her interests . I am very thankful to the teachers, stuffs, advisers, Counselor & all. It’s a Top graded IB school in Torento . My daughter Shanjana Hossain graduated In 2020 . Currently she started her university in “The MCGILL University in Montreal. One of the top best university in the world. I am overwhelmed with her success. Please keep her in your prayers. Thanks

Although I really enjoyed my time with the friendly kids and teachers, I found the school to be lacking in resources. The lower school is basically a white concrete shell and a tiny playgound in the back. The upper school is a bigger white box. Also, the academics were really lacking... I was not able to learn anything until changing to another school.

Kids are going to this school for several years now and quality of education, atmosphere and extra curricular activities always amaze me. I can compare with other schools, and this one is definitely recommended. One thing to add, they are always transparent and upfront for any cost. I appreciate this in every business.

I don't want to be writing this review, but I feel I have to. My experience at York wasn't good, and I want to spare others from the same experiences. I do want to clarify that the teachers are amazing, so are the students and facilities. But the administration did everything in it's power to make my families' lives difficult. The level of disorganization was highly unprofessional considering the tuition. Beyond that the guidance and mental health aid is abysmal. As a school that advertises as a "small school community", quote was directly taken from David Hamilton's letter on the Welcome to the Senior School Page, they do not care about the students, they care about how much money they can make. When you go to a school like York you expect a level of professionalism and respect that this school will not provide. If you want the school that you, or your child, goes to to care about your family, don't go here.

We have 2 kids who started in 2014 who love going to The York School. They provide the perfect balance between academics, athletics, community awareness and involvement. The teachers are supportive and enable the kids to succeed while challenging them to work independently. The athletics program is run superbly with an emphasis on building skills in the younger years through superior coaching and extra curricular options. The best decision we made was to send our kids to this school.

This year I'm starting gr.9 and I wanted to check the high school's out before I decided which one I would like to attend to and I stumbled across this school website and I had some questions for example is there dorms? If not is there a transport that could come and pick me up from Parry Sound or somewhere near this area? And last but not least how much does this school cost a year?

I have video proof of an initiation scandal of the Varsity Boys Basketball Team. This school continuously disappoints me, and soon I'll have to forward the video to the press. This school handles incidents like these in a very unofficial way, and the only reason I'm holding back is because I sympathize for the teachers who are mostly amazing at their job.

The school has fantastic teachers, however the decision by the administration to prioritise superfluous construction over the education of their Grade 12 Students (with the decision to place construction over the mid term exams that will be set to universities) is unacceptable.

So far, the experience that I have at the York School is pretty good. You might have to get used to the homework load, but overall I enjoyed it!
