My son attended this school for nearly 4 years from preschool-Kindergarten. Fantastic teachers and administration! These people love and respect the children (and their families!). My only regret is that I didn't find them sooner.

I had a serious issue here (2017) with the staff physically restraining my son. They tried to pressure me into having him "assessed" for behavioural problems (specifically ODD, and continually mentioned wanting to "get funding"). The problems stemmed from the stressful environment and from being treated differently from the other students (ex: being forced to sit in his seat when everyone else was free to walk around, cruel staff, physically restrained). As soon as I switched him to a different daycare with a warm and caring environment, the behavioural difficulties (of which there were MANY -- only displayed at the Montessori school, never at home or anywhere else) evaporated almost instantly. He was completely his self again. Happy and social. It was an extremely stressful situation that almost sent me to a nervous breakdown. My son was only there for 2 months. I would never wish this on any parent and do not recommend this school. In trying to correct the issue, I was presented with a staff lacking in understanding, a director who supposed herself to know better than me, and a psychologist only interested in funding. I removed my son from the school on short notice.

My son loves his school and the teachers are all fantastic. Good communication from the staff via email and monthly newsletters. My son is always coming home singing new songs he has learned etc. Couldn't be happier.

We had a similar experience as Caitlin Sommer. They also recommended to bring an "expert" to get a diagnose on Asperger or something like that, and their guy actually said he had something going on. My wife went crazy worry and went through Alberta Health Services with REAL experts, with long sessions and every time these guys saw the report from the school they said that their guy did not follow the due process to actually state that diagnose... So finally after months of real experts visits they told us that nothing was going on... Who does that? Who tell parents that something is going on with their kid if nothing is wrong? I even wonder if that is illegal... Our difference with Caitlin is that we did not took our children out of that place after 2 month we did wait until the consulting process was over... and I regret it...

I have had the pleasure of sending 3 of my kids to the Lethbridge Montessori School over the past 7 years and look forward to sending my youngest daughter there in the years to come. We have attended both locations and have found the staff and atmosphere at both to be extremely professional, caring and nurturing. From the toddler years through to Kindergarten, the students there receive the highest quality learning, play, creativity, and socializing opportunities from talented, qualified teachers who partner with you and your child to deliver the best early years program in the city. We have found it to be both very reasonable in price and unparalleled in flexibility when it comes to enrolling for the hours that work best for our family. I can honestly say that the Lethbridge Montessori School feels like part of our family, and likewise, the staff and students there make us feel like part of their school family.
